45. A Smile is Worth More Than a Thousand Words

A solid month has passed by, why I didn't share what happened in that month?  it's simple, Joey's island turns out to have this gym place that's underneath the island; that's why the earth shook because it was opening to bring the gym to the surface. There was all sorts of machines and weights.

Of course my so called 'coach' wouldn't give me any rest, I was changing machines every time he would see me going slower. And for motivation I was told I would have a fried fish... Yes being a half cat makes you like fish.

Oh and did I forget? He wouldn't stop distracting me, every time I would be working out he would be shirtless while watching me or even going as far as kissing me; once I accidentally dropped the weights on his foot, he was on a crutches for a few days, he also took advantage of this so I could help him walk. To be honest he would always find a way to flirt, he can turn any situation into a flirty one, and no it doesn't get old.

Currently I'm in my cabin back in camp, the green rose still in its vase and beautiful as ever. The battle spoils still in their drawer, the bident hung on the wall, my weapon rings on the desk and on that desk is Hecate's tome. I stood in front of the mirror that's behind the door, Joey was right, I didn't build any muscles that show, most I got was a faded six pack and some bulges on my arms, I shrugged this off and went to slip back on my black shirt, but all of them had disappeared. Just one shirt was left, It's a sleeveless orange camp T-shirt, this isn't even mine, I hate sleeveless shirts...

And I just found who did this, Joey climbed in through my window with his goofy smile "so I see we have a thing in common" he said, I rolled my eyes and jumped to my bed "do share on what we have in common" I mumbled closing my eyes, Joey giggled and tiger crawled over me "well we both like to check you out" I grinned for a moment, he pressed our lips together into a deep and passionate kiss, his hands digging behind my head lifting me up while deepening the kiss. My own hands holding his waist, he was getting even better, his lips started to taste sweet like bee honey, he also learned how to use his electric powers through his lips, making the experience 'more shocking' according to joey, gods that pun sucks.

Joey soon pulled away from my lips and licked his own "tastes like vanilla" he giggled, I rolled my eyes and pushed him to the side "and you taste like cinnamon, bright eyes" Joey giggled and nodded "yeah I know, hey how's your electric training?" He asked tilting his head; you see while I trained to get stronger Joey also trained me into flying and using electricity, can't really ask for a better coach than him.

Back to reality, my hands started to create jolts of lightning around my fingers "it's getting more stable, don't shock myself anymore" Joey giggled softly and looked at the ceiling "yeah I remember when you shocked yourself by ricocheting the lightning from that shield, it barely got your leg and you lighted up like a Christmas tree" he said laughing loudly, I glared at him and then smirked, my hand slowly creeping to his side, he kept laughing remembering that moment, but he instantly jumped out of the bed and let out a girlish yelp as the lightning shocked his side.

"HEY!!!" He yelled getting up wobbling, I laughed and held my stomach, Joey giggled  and sat next to me "fine you had your reasons, but you ain't getting away with it " he grinned and pounced over me, I growled playfully as a response and we started to wrestle, but it always ends in the usual way, us making out until we run out of air or someone interrupts us. But this time we were interrupted by an arrow flying through my window, both of us blinked since the arrow hit the wall by my bed, it had a note and a string hanging from it, "so... Bri do you have anyone going after your head?" Asked Joey as he slowly sat up "well.... Not recently " I mumbled.

Joey shrugged and got the note from the arrow, he didn't even read it out loud, but his eyes widened and he bolted off the bed, he leaned close to me and gave me a deep kiss "I'm so so sorry Bri, but I gotta run, see you back at the island okay?" He flew out the window before I could even answer, I was left alone in my cabin with my messy hair.

I sighed softly and looked over at my golden dagger wondering when Jasmine would return, like if on cue the dagger started to glow, my eyes widened and jumped to grasp it, as I held it I felt how memories of what seemed an island, I believe this was Ogygia.

Jasmine: helloooo? Kitty? You on?

Me: yeah I'm here, what's new princess?

Jasmine: eh not much, just training in acrobatics and the like, what about you?

Me: uh... Well... I'm sorta dating your brother...

Jasmine: ...Which one?

Me: Joey Stone

Jasmine: why him? He spends all his day training and being mister serious. I tried to get him to laugh by telling him some of our and other stories, but nothing worked

Me: ...Uh are we talking about the same guy?

Jasmine: tall-ish guy, blonde hair, bright blue eyes, golden tan.... Wait... That's almost all my siblings... Oh he has a birthmark behind his neck

Me: um... Yeah it's him, but since I met him he has been smiling, grinning and laughing all the time

Jasmine: oh my gods kitty!! He must love you so much, he never smiles, like seriously not even a giggle

Me: huh... Guess I made a small impact on him

Jasmine: Kitty you made a huge impact on his life. And you can't say otherwise

???: hey Lily! Break's over get your hair bun back here

Me: uh... What was that?

Jasmine: it's calypso, since we're using the daggers you can hear what happens around, anyway I gotta go now, oh and don't ask about Lily

Me: she doesn't like jasmines so she calls you Lily?

Jasmine: basically, now bye take care

Me: yeah you too

After that she went silent, I smiled softly and held the dagger in my hand; it's what you'd expect from a dagger, short, sturdy and sharp. Only mine was golden with a red hilt. I shook my head and reached for Hecate's tome, but my ears perked up by the sound of the emergency horn blowing
