(Rollin's POV*)
I am woken up by my alarm clock going off at 6:30. I roll out of bed and look at my reflection in the mirror. My hair is a mess and I am in pajama's so I take a shower and get dressed. I pull my hair back into a pony tail and go to the precinct.
When I arrive, Captain greets me at the door.
"You ready to go?" He asks in a New York Yankees shirt. He has a baseball cap on.
"Go where?" I ask.
"To the adoption center." he says with a smile.
"Oh, we can go today? I thought tonight."
"Nope. Everybody has the day off. This is big Amanda." He said.
"Oh, cool. Everybody's coming?" I asked.
"If you don't mind. We would all love it." He said.
"No, I don't mind. Come on." I said as Olivia and I hopped into my car, and the rest partnered in two's and we met each other there.
When we all arrive, I see a red team and a blue team on the field practicing. The squad and I all decide to sit on the bleachers behind home plate. Blue team was batting first. Red was in the field. I watched each person bat, everybody hit fouls and struck out.
Then it was the orange team's turn to bat. The first person to bat struck out. I looked over to see the squad and I could tell that they were all disappointed because they wanted to watch a game, but everybody kept striking out. Then the second batter came up. Her number was 2 and she watched the first pitch.
She swung at the second and she hit backwards and it flew over the fence. It was going to hit me in the head when Nick stood up and caught it with his bear hands.
"Hey, you trying to hit me?" I asked playfully.
"Sorry!" She yelled smiling.
"It's alright!" I laughed.
She turned back to the pitcher. She swung at the ball and bombed it passed center field and it kept going. It finally landed and the whole squad stood up and cheered. She ran as fast as her legs could run until the center field girl through the ball into home base and the girl slid into it.
"Safe!" The umpire yelled.
She stood up and brushed some sand off her and grabbed her bat. She was walking off when she glanced at us and smiled. She was really polite, and when she turned around her back said Ava, number 2. The squad stopped cheering and sat down next to me.
"She's good." Munch said.
"Yea, and polite. She smiled at me. Maybe we could talk to her later." I said.
"Yea, I remember her from the pictures. Ava... um.. I forgot her last name, but her parents were in a car accident when she was 6, she is now 12. She has been here for 6 years." Olivia said.
"Yea, call your boyfriend, I want to talk to her later." I said positive. We al stopped talking after everybody else stuck out. Ava played first base. The catcher threw to high to her and she caught it. She had to jump and foot off the ground, but she caught it and landed in a full split.
"Oh my god." She laughed as she grabbed her thigh. She slowly stood up. "I'm not made to bend that way." She laughed which caused us all to laugh. She got up and walked in a circle. She smiled at me, and since she got the girl out, the inning ended. She went back into the doug-out. I am going to adopted her. She is perfect.
