Adopted But Not Saved

Baby Brother

(Ava's POV*)

I sat at the desk next to Nick, every few minutes i yawn. I'm very tired, but I don't want to fall asleep here. 

I try to pay attention to Carisi. He keeps pointing to things on the board and saying things, but i keep starting to drift off. 

I fold my arms on the desk and rest my head on my arms. In less than 5 minutes i an sound asleep.

(Carisi's POV*)

I point to the picture of Ava's uncle and it makes me sick. We go over some facts i have on him and her parents.

Then I turn around to notice none of my team is looking at me, but their attention is focused on Ava. Olivia and Fin are watching her awe taking pictures and selfies with her. Then Nick is just staring at her smiling and Amanda is laughing. Munch, well he is munch. He is just sitting there.

I look over Fin's shoulder to see Ava asleep. "Look Sonny, how cute is she?" Fin asks.

"Very." I smirk. "We are so lucky to have her as our niece."

They all agree and nod.

"Now you know what would mean the world to her?" I ask.

"What?" He asks.

"If we caught that scum bag." I say pointing to her uncle's picture.

"You're right." Olivia says focusing again. 

"Guys, you know if nobody can find any records of Ava's parents, maybe we should try to find the baby. I mean, there needs to birth records, and he looked, what, barely 1 in the picture. " Nick states.

"Good Nick. Search for him, get me an address." Olivia says.

"Im on it." Nick rushes to find the address. 

After 2 mins, Nick yells "Got It!"

"Where is it?" I ask him.

"18 Lockwood Ave." Nick says as i write it down on the board.

"Okay good! We will go first thing tomorrow." I say. "Lets all go home and get a good nights sleep." 

"Okay, Amanda, can Ava stay with me tonight?" I ask her. She nods and I walk to Ava who is still sleeping.

"Hey Ava.." I whisper slightly shaking her arm. When she only moans a little, i don't force her to wake up. "Im going to carry you." 

I slowly and gently lift her up and cradle her in bridal position. "Get her jacket." I signal for Fin. He lays it down gently on her keeping her warm and i nod bye to everyone. I slowly start to walk to my car. 

I heard footsteps, but I assumed it was Fin or Amanda so I kept walking. Then I felt something hit the back of my head and I dropped Ava and fell to the ground. I heard Ava's scream, and that is the only thing that kept me awake.

Then somebody started to drag me and lifted me into their van and then somebody in a ski mask threw Ava in here. She was crying. A man handcuffed me to a pole in the van and let Ava sit there after he punched her and knocked her out. 

"Who are you and why are you doing this?" They both ripped off their ski masks. 

"I think you already know who we are." The man closest to me said. I know him. It's her Uncle.

And the other man...

Is Ava's father. 

What are they going to do?
