Adopted But Not Saved

Destination

(Ava's POV*)

Antonio brought me out to an ambulance, where they looked me over, and asked a few medical questions, but overall, i was fine. They let me go with Antonio. He didn't bring me to the station though. He brought me to the store, had me wait in the car with Voight, then brought me to a gas station, and had me change in their bathroom out of the bloody clothes and into new ones that he bought.

I was silent the whole ride to what I thought was the precinct, but when we arrived at our "destination", I realized it wasn't. 

"Where are we?" I asked.

"Don't worry about it." Voight says with no emotion which sort of scares me. He gets out of the SUV and then so do I. We are in a field and there are no houses or buildings. Just us. Antonio and Voight lean on the hood of the car, and then I walk next to him. After a long pause, Voight starts to talk.

"So what happened?" Voight asked. 

I knew he was gonna ask. "Well i was asleep and Sonny was carrying me to his car, and then he dropped me and when I woke up we were in a van."

"No, what happened? Why did you kill him?" Voight asked again.

"He said that I could save Sonny or my Dad, and I picked Sonny because I love him. But I thought my dad gave me up, but he really couldn't keep me, and he thought um..." I pause.

"He thought Carisi raped you." Antonio finished off my sentence.

"Ye-yea. How'd you know?" I ask.

"Carisi was going in and out of consciousness, and he said 'i didn't hurt her. I promise. I love her.'" Voight says.

"I know. My uncle said Sonny raped me, but-but-." I look at the ground as tears fall out of my eyes.

"Hey breathe. It is okay now." Antonio says rubbing my back.

"But my uncle was the one who raped me." I finish covering my mouth with my hand shocked as i realize how bad my life is.

"Its okay." He pauses. "You are going to have to testify. Right now people are going to think you are a murderer." I nod.

"Then he told me that I can't save either of them after he killed my dad and i was trying to stop Sonny from bleeding out. And I said no so he held a gun to my head. And I started to laugh." I look up at the both of them. "Im crazy. Oh my god. I laughed and he was threatening to shoot me. Im so stupid."

"No your not. How did you get the gun?" Vought says getting down on his knees so he is my height.

"I punched his elbow and took the gun. And I shot him. But he didn't run at me. I just shot him. Carisi told me not to and I still did."

"Okay, it's late. Im going to call Olivia and ask if you can come home with me for the night. and first thing tomorrow we will get your statement. You will be safe now, especially with me." Voight says. I nod and get back in the SUV. I start to drift asleep to voices of the two men in the front, who i know are friend with Carisi, so I know i am safe.
