"Hey, how was it bro?" an excited Theo asked as I walked through his door with a sleeping Lily in my arms.

Theo and his wife lived at the Pack house with me as well as my Gammas and their mates.

The House was huge. Even with all of us staying here there were plenty of rooms for guests from other packs or places for pack members to stay when they were in a bind.

Theo and his family had basically  a house in their living quarters . They had their own living room as well as a room for Lily and a room to themselves.

Plus a gorgeous bathroom that Carla, Theo's wife, decorated herself. She is quite the interior designer.

As the Alpha, I had the largest living quarters of all. My office was in my part of the house as well as a conference room.

The Kitchen was also in my part of the house where the wives took turns cooking and all worked together to prepare pack meals.

The entire pack usually ate dinner together in the huge dinning room. All 80 of us.

I had two extra rooms. Perfect for Connor. He could have a room and a playroom all to himself.

I know I'm getting ahead of myself. Millie will be my luna one day, though, of that I am sure. Plus I hate her living alone.

The Thought of her being on her own with a child to raise for the past two and a half years made my heart ache. She's so amazing and strong.

"It was amazing. Seriously the best night of my life. I am seeing her again on Saturday. Just the two of this time." I walked into Lily's princess room and laid her on her carriage style bed.

"That is awesome bro. I can't wait to meet her. Especially because she is all you think about."

The good thing about being a werewolf was you could see in basically complete darkness. After I laid Lily down Theo gave her a soft kiss on her forehead.

The only girl that held his heart as much as Carla. Lily really made him soft.

"How was your night? Did you and Carla enjoy your alone time? " I asked while pulling a beer out of their fridge, which was located in their living room.

Like I said their living space was huge the living room had a TV that took up an entire wall, a pool table, a dart board, a couch that could fit probably 20 and a normal sized fridge. Even with all of that, it was still roomy.

"Look I don't want to burst your bubble, but we have a situation." Theo said, rubbing the back of his head.

"What kind of situation," I asked, tensing up.

"One of the rogues crossed our border and came into our territory tonight."  He said eyes wide with caution as though he was speaking to a rabid animal. He practically was.

"A rouge, breaking through the protective charm I had placed on the forest. Impossible," I muttered to myself.

Then looking up in a more serious tone I spoke, "Well where the hell is he? Have you guys figured out what he wanted? We need to keep him in the cells until we know. You really should have called me. I mean I had Lily out there."

"Um........we actually don't have him Alpha. He got away from Abe and Noah. I was patrolling the other side of the forest when they mind linked me. They said he was extremely fast." He spoke then added more defensive tone, "and I knew Lily was with you"

He was offended, and he should be. Theo was the best dad I knew. If I wasn't completely frustrated by the situation I would have felt ashamed.

"What?!? How could a rogue get away from two gammas? Tell Abe and Noah they are to continue to search for him through the night. We will have to have men constantly looking for this dang rouge till we find it. In the morning we will call a pack meeting to inform the pack and tell them they are not to leave their homes except for absolute necessities. We will increase the number of men patrolling the boarder at all times in case this is not just random." I barked out this order before taking a breath.

"Right now I need to go to my mates house to make sure she is safe." I concluded and Theo nodded. I was mad that he did not mind link me as soon as it happened.

I mean I left Millie alone at her house for goodness sake. Now wasn't the time to think about that though. Now I needed to get back to her as soon as possible to make sure she was safe.

As I ran through the forest in my wolf form something did not sit well with me. This rogue thing didn't start happening until Millie and Connor moved here.

I'm sure it was just a coincidence, but still one can never be too careful. My dad taught me that.

He was the best Alpha and my mom the perfect luna. After my dad stepped down from Alpha he and my mom decided to travel the world, and though I talked to them all the time on the phone in these moments I wished they were here.

Run faster you idiot. I pushed myself  to run harder towards Lily and Connor.  As Alpha I was fast extremely fast.

Today was the only time I ever wished I was faster. While running to her house one thing became clear. I needed to tell her about me sooner rather than later.

I didn't want to scare her away, but I needed her and Connor to move into the pack house with me. I already hated the fact she lived alone in the forest, but now I hated it even more.

When I finally made it to her house, I grinned. The light was on in her bedroom, and I could see her smiling while brushing her hair.

I liked to think that I put that smile there. She was just so dang perfect. I needed to get her to start making sure her curtains were closed some weirdo could look in at her. You're the only weirdo, idiot.

As if on cue she looked out the window with a confused expression on her face and closed the curtains no doubt sensing my presence. Crap.  I used my wolf hearing to ensure I heard Connor's heartbeat as well and by the steady breathing I could sense coming from his room I could tell he was still asleep.

Just a few minutes later Millie's breathing slowed indicating she had also fallen asleep. I closed my eyes imagining her laying in bed with a smile on her plump lips and drifted off to sleep as well.

.............................................................................
The next few days went by in a blur. My routine was simple: wake up, look for rogue, go to work, come home, look for rogue, bark orders, sleep outside of Millie's house. Or barley sleep I should say.

I was exhausted to say the least. Even still today I woke up with excitement. It was finally Saturday and I was going to take Millie out just the two of us.

Aunt Jules offered to keep Connor. She actually told Millie she would keep him overnight, so we could stay out as long as we wished.

I could only imagine how hesitant Millie was about it. I doubt if she ever spent the night away from Connor. She has been basically on her own for so long.

I wanted to make this night as special for her as possible. She deserves it.

I also understood I had to tell her about Connor and I tonight.

Nervous didn't even come close to describing how I felt about that. I had no idea how she would react. I didn't want to have to tell her my secret so soon, but it had to be done. To keep them safe.

One thing was  for sure. Today was going to go by slowly. Very Slowly.
