Chapter 21 Sam's POV

I watched as Millie zipped up her final boot. The sun was perfectly casting a beautiful glow on her honey blonde hair.

Everything that woman did was fucking perfect.

We were taking Connor to a tree farm today to pick out a tree for Christmas.

It would be their first real Christmas tree as I got to put it up with them.

Their first Christmas in the pack house. I smiled at the thought as my chest swelled with pride.

Christmas in the pack house was always full of love and laughter. Every family decorated their cabin with lights.

The best part though was that the whole pack sits down for dinner on Christmas Eve.

Aunt Jules usually cooked a mean pot roast and we all feasted.

As alpha everyone comes to my quarters on Christmas morning too since my housing is the largest.

All of the kids get presents and then they all run and play in the snow to their heart's content while the grownups drink hot chocolate inside.
 
I was excited for Connor to experience it.... And Millie of course. My love.

Connor got along so well with the other kids in the pack, especially Lilly.

Lilly was my best friend's daughter, which meant she was basically my niece. Connor and Lilly were two peas in a pod.

The two of them even shared a huge stuffed dinosaur we had won at Chuck e-Cheese a few months ago.

One week Lilly would have it and one week Connor would have it. I had no idea how a four and now five-year-old kept up with that but they did.
It was cute.

It almost made me wonder........

"Sam, do you have my mom's special bracelet?" Whispered Connor, breaking me from my thoughts.

"Yep I sure do, it is in my pocket right now. I plan to give it to  her under the tree tonight." I had been planning to ask Millie to be my official Luna.

She would have to go through a ceremony almost like a coronation, but I knew she would be the best Luna there ever was.

My pack already loves her. Since she got here she has been right alongside the other women in the pack preparing meals and taking care of children.

I believe it is her motherly tendencies that have made the pack fall in love with her.

I have fallen deeply. When Connor went with me to pick out this bracelet I realized how much.

As soon as I saw it I thought of her. It was a silver chain with a crescent moon hanging from it along with a purple charm, which I knew was her favorite color.

I'll never forget how Connors' eyes lit up when he saw it. When I asked if she would like it he started jumping and screaming "she's gonna love it we found the perfect one."
 
I really have become fond of that kid.

"I can't wait for tonight," squealed Connor soliciting a smile from me.

I was about to respond when Millie's walked up. "What are you boys smiling about?" she asked in a suspicious voice.

"Oh nothing," Connor replied in a way that said we were in fact up to something. I gave him a wink.

"Ooookay," Millie said as more of a question. Then she eyed me with an amused look.

"We ready to go? " I asked changing the subject as quickly as I could.
 
"Yeah!!!" Connor yelled running out of the house and to my truck.

Millie told me the year David died they were supposed to cut down a tree but obviously did not.

Both years after that all Millie could afford was a very small table tree that only fit about four ornaments.

I was so excited to share the experience of cutting down and decorating their first real big tree.

I wanted the experience to be special. It had to be special.

When I first found Millie I instantly fell in love with Connor too.

Connor doesn't know about this but after the Luna ceremony, I plan to ask Millie to marry me, while also asking Connor if he will let me adopt him and become my son.

I know it seems like we are moving too fast but werewolves know as soon as they find their mate and the second I saw Millie I knew she was mine.

Her scent makes my knees weak. I could spend eternity running my fingers through her honey blonde hair and tasting her sweet lips on my mouth.

God, I loved that woman and soon I would be wanting the whole world to know it by a ring on her finger.
