Chapter 40 Sam's POV

I had no idea how to position my pack because I had no clue where they would be coming from.

Should we had in the trees and surprise attack?

One thing for certain we needed to get out from where we were. The reception was under a huge tent at the bottom of a hill.

Never a good place to be.

Just as I had the thought the cracking of leaves began above.

Fuck they are already here.

We all looked up to see wolves with red hungry and angry eyes looking down at us. It's what happens when the rightful alpha is betrayed.

The one who is not suppose to be alpha poisons the whole pack and their eyes turn red when they are wolves

"Get ready." I mindlinked the pack.

Just as I said it, RedMoon wolfs started pouring in.

Where was that son of a bitch,  that killed David? He's who I was going for. No one was going to get away with hurting my Millie and Connor like that.

I ripped at wolfs coming towards me as I looked around for him. Finally, I spotted him toward the back.

Coward.

Putting other wolves in harms way while he stayed in the back. An alpha was suppose to lead from the front.
 
Just as I started running at him I heard a loud squeal and then another.

Both I knew very well. Both made me stop in my tracks.

Time stoped as I turned to the side and watched as a group of wolves attacked Theo and Carla.

With all my might I ran in their direction watching while they got ripped apart. I could feel every foot step. Hear every heartbeat. A whimper escaped me as soon as I approached realizing a fucked up truth.

I was too late. They were gone.
 
Lilly.

I thought of my sweet niece as I came down hard on the four wolves that rejoiced over my brother and sisters bodie.

Alone I attacked all four wolves with vengeance.

How could I have let this happen? No.

I didn't have time to think of my heart break. I didn't have time to think of what just happened all I could do was take every ounce of anger out on these four wolves and I did.

One by one I pawed at each wolf. Abe and Noah, realized what happened and came running. Both whimpered causing another rush of anger as a pawed at the last wolf.

"We'll I see you got them all already alpha" Abe said in a mindlink but there was a solemness to his voice I had never heard before.

"Keep attacking. I want that son of a bitch dead." I replied in a mindlink.

Abe seemed to agree because he then jumped on the nearest wolf with no mercy.
