Anna Kate and James Carter came down the steps both with briefcases in their hands.

Must be some witchy stuff in there, I though as I watched them approached.

"Hey Connor you ready for this?" Anna Kate asked vending down so she would be at his level.

"I think so," Connor replied with confidence. The kid radiated it. A true alpha.

"You got this buddy." I reassured. We had a long talk last night about what he may or may not hear.

Anna Kate said she new of a spell to where Connor would literally be looking through his grandfather's mind instead of just reading his current thoughts.

This was to ensure that Connor would only hear things related to what we wanted to know, which made Millie feel a lot better.

Millie, who had been biting her nails for the last minute now looked to Connor, " you know you don't have to do this baby if you don't want to," she soothed.

"I know mom, but I want to. I'm part of this pack and as a pack member I want to do my part."
Oh wow I loved that kid.

"You are the bravest kid I know," Millie cooed before giving Connor a hug.

"Indeed you are buddy," I added along with a wink.

For the next ten minutes or so James Carter and Anna Kate explained to Connor exactly what would happen.

Shortly after they had Connor surrounded by candels in a circle. My heart speed up and using my wolf senses I could tell Millie's did the same.

"Okay, Connor I want you to lay back close your eye and repeat the question over and over again, 'do you know where I am?' You really have to focus on that question and getting information on it the whole time. Can you do that buddy?" Anna Kate asked and Connor nodded his head.

Connor laid back and it seemed like everything was in slow motion.

Anna Kate and James Carter were on either side of Connor holding each one of his hands and chanting something but I have no idea what.

Suddenly a gust of wind blew out all the candles and you could just tell Connor had left the room mentally.

Simultaneously with the gust of wind Millie took in a huge breath and I'm not sure if she'd breathed since then.

I took her hand in mine to try to keep her calm and it seemed to work as her heart rate slowed.

She looked at me and I mouthed, "it's going to be okay," even though I was needing some reassurance right now as well.

After, what seemed to be hours later, but really was just a few minute later Connor shot straight up with eyes wide.

"He doesn't know where I am."

"Are you sure buddy?" I asked cautiously. I didn't want to jump any guns or put him at risk if there was a possibility.

"Yeah he is trying to find out where I am but the man from the football game is refusing to tell him. He kept saying 'I'm gonna get it out of him," over and over again in his mind."

Interesting. The man from the stadium won't say anything but why? Could there be people in the Red Moon pack loyal to Connor?

"How do you know he was talking about the man from the football game?" This question caused Connor to tense up and pale.

"Because the man was chained up in a dark nasty place and the guy I was suppose to be listening to was pacing back in forth in front of him," Connor shuddered as he said this as though the image was really nasty.

"I didn't like seeing that man chained up," he then added solemnly.

Millie ran to Connor and scooped him up.

"I'm sorry buddy. You were so brave. I am so proud of you." I encouraged.

"Me too baby," Millie agreed as she kissed the top of Connor's forehead.

My beauty and my legacy I loved them both so much.

" I kinda want to take a nap now." Connor sleepy said before laying his head on Millie's shoulder and knocking out.

James Carter had warned me this would happen. Spells take a lot out of people especially if they are not part of the craft.

About 15 minutes later Connor was completely asleep on Millie and the three of us were sitting on the couch in the bunker as we discussed things.

"So this means we can come out of the bunker?" Millie asked hopefully.

"I think so, but I think Connor should continue with homeschooling for now, May be till the end of the year. Just to be sure." I responded.

"Okay." Millie agreed, which I was not expecting. "Why do you think that guy wasn't telling him where Connor was?" Millie inquired.

"That I don't know. Could be for a number of reasons." Was my only reply but my thoughts were swimming.

My guess, or more of my hope was that he and others within the Red Moon pack were loyal to Connor. If that was the case it would be much easier to fight them if it came to that.

An alpha could order members of his pack to fight but if they were doing it unwillingly they would be much easier to beat.

I needed to find out more, but I wasn't sure how and it looked like we were safe for now and that is all that really mattered.
