I got home from work an hour before Millie. Connor was painting at the kitchen table making the biggest mess in the world and Aunt Jules was making spaghetti.

She started watching Connor over here, because it was much safer. There were plenty of pack members around always and there were more protection charms on the house then at Aunt Jules.

"It smells amazing in here," I complimented Aunt Jules as I took another whaf of the air.

Mmmm delicious.

"Well thank you," she smiled, "but I unfortunately won't be staying for dinner tonight. I gotta hot date." She said with a wink.

"With who?" I questioned. I hadn't ever known Aunt Jules to date.

"Don't laugh," she scolded shaking the wooden spoon in my face, "but Mr. Jenkins." I couldn't help but laugh.

"Millie is not going to be happy. That is the only reason I laughed." I explained.

"Why on earth not?" She questioned.

"They got beef," I explained holding my hands up in the air. I didn't want her to think it was me.

I was happy with anything that would make Aunt Jules happy.

"She'll come around," she shrugged and I nodded in agreement, although I doubted if that was true.

"Whatcha making?" I asked bending down next to Connor.

"A picture of the whole family!" Connor exclaimed. He really included everyone in the pack he could including Lilly and their stuffed animal dinosaur they share.

That kid could make a person smile even on their toughest days.

"I'm back." Millie's angelic voice rang through the house.

"Mommy!" Connor squealed Ashe ran two red the front door. I followed suit.

"Mmmm it smells amazing in here." Millie spoke as she scooped Connor up in her arms.

"Well I can't take the credit Aunt Jules put a roast in the oven before she left and cooked some delicious spaghetti for Connor. I have it waiting on the table for you."

"That was nice of her and you," she said before placing her lips on mine. I could never get used to this amazing feeling I had whenever she was near.

I could not wait to tell her any longer. "So guess why Aunt Jules couldn't stay for dinner?" I asked with excitement in my voice.

"She couldn't stand to be around you any longer." She said through a grin.

"Ha ha very funny," I retorted. "No she is going on a date!"

"A date?" Millie questioned. "We'll good for her she deserves all the happiness in the world," she said assuredly. "So who's the lucky guy? Do I know him?" She questioned.

"Oh you know him alright." I replied.

"Well who is he," she asked now with a hint of impatience in her voice.
Can't wait for this reaction.

Grinning from ear to ear I said "Mr. Jenkins."

Millie dropped the fork she had in her hand.

"Are you kidding me?" She asked with a disgusted face.

"No, not at all. Aunt Jules thinks he's a lovely man," I said with air quotes around the words lovely man. At that Millie's face scrunched up and the eye rolling began.

"Well then she doesn't know the real Mr. Jenkins. He's a real di...."

"Delightful man," I cut her off just as Connor walked back into the kitchen. He went to get his picture he drew out of his room to show Millie.

"Look mom," he said enthusiastically, holding up his picture. "I drew the whole family."

"Wow I love it!" Millie's eyes lite up as she pulled Connor close. "This is amazing Connor. You really did get the whole family."

God I loved that she thought of the pack as family. She's the perfect Luna.

They smiled at one another for a second longer and I watched the two people I loved the most exchange a moment.

They had been with no one for so long and now they had so many people that cared about them.

I was so thankful to be the one that gave that to them. I knew no matter what I would love them both forever.
