~~Monday Afternoon, London~~
Lizzie POV
After a very emotional day yesterday, making sure to keep Maisie smiling once she joined us downstairs, I made sure to help in anyway I could to make sure Harley got a good nights sleep. Thankfully, she managed to get a few hours before she woke up and decided to go on a run. Since I was awake when she left, she didn't have to leave a note but instead told me to go back to sleep. It didn't take me long to fall back to sleep but I quickly woke back up 2 hours later when Harley came back from her run. She seemed a lot better so before she went to have a shower, I suggested we go out for the day since we are both awake and feeling more up to it. She quickly agreed, brainstorming ideas before we decided on just going for a walk. As Harley went for a shower, I slowly got up and looked for some clothes for the day. I know it's still really cold and possibly snowing so I need to be as wrapped up as possible. My mind began to then wander to our plans for later tonight since Tom had rang Harley last night to invite us to a last minute New Years Eve Party at his place. I know Harley is really unsure about going but Tom practically begged her over the phone so eventually she gave in after checking if I was okay with it. I hate the idea of something triggering Harley, especially after everything that has happened recently, but hopefully having me and Tom there will make sure that doesn't happen. It was really sweet hearing Tom ringing to check on Harley last night, knowing what day it is. I love seeing how close they are, they are more like Brother and Sister than just Cousins. It's weird how he would mention his best friend on Set a lot, and how close they were but he missed not seeing them as much as he used too. I never imagined that one day I would meet and then fall head over heels in love with the same person he would talk about so much. Meeting Harley was deffinently meant to be, and as much as I wish I had met her sooner, I now know she came into my life at exactly the right time.
After getting ready for the day, we joined Maisie and Stuart for breakfast downstairs, everyone feeling so much better from yesterday which made me smile instantly. Maisie was back to being her usual cheeky self making us all laugh as we enjoyed some breakfast sandwiches and coffee. Harley told them both about our plans for today before Stuart told us that he was going to ask us if we wanted to join himself, Emily and Maisie for a day shopping in Town. I couldn't but laugh at Harley politely declining a day in a busy shopping centre, making Stuart laugh along with her as Maisie was already overly excited to get there. As much as I would have loved to spend the day with them all shopping, I cannot wait to have the day just me and My Soldier. After Breakfast, we helped clean up the kitchen before we went to get ready to leave, grabbing some gloves and hats, as well as my new Bike Helmet since I begged Harley to drive us today. She just laughed at how excited I was to get to use my Helmet before we made our way outside after saying our goodbyes. I was instantly regretting my choice seeing the thin layer of snow, worrying about us being on the Bike but Harley was quick to reassure me that she would be careful and keep me safe. My helmet fits perfectly as Harley helps me get it on before we make our way to where Harley has planned our walk. We spent the day together, wrapped up and walking along various park paths, stopping for hot chocolate to keep us warm as we never failed to find something to talk about. We laughed and teased each other all afternoon, my heart glowing seeing Harley so happy. And after a couple of hours of just walking together in our own little World, we decided to go for a late lunch somewhere close by. We managed to find the cutest little Café that neither of us had been too before, so we spent the next hour or two carrying on our topics of conversation and eating some really good food.
When we finally decided on driving home, it took us a little longer than this morning with the traffic. But thankfully, with Harley's impressive driving, we managed to make our way through and eventually made it back. We made our way back inside, being met by everyone sitting in the kitchen. We easily joined them all at the table as Maisie told us about their day in Town. Stuart made us some tea to warm our hands as we listened to Maisie before Emily asked us about our day. I let Harley do most of the talking as she caught them up on our day together. Emily was quick to tell Stuart they would have to try the small Café we stumbled upon before Harley promised we would take Maisie one day too. I found myself cuddling into Harley's side, my body really not used to London weather yet during the Winter. After we all finished our drinks and caught up on everything from today, Harley excused us so we could go upstairs and slowly start getting ready for tonight. Harley quickly disappeared into the bathroom for a few minutes as I went to look for something to wear for tonight before coming back to tell me she had ran me a bath to help me warm up. I didn't waste any time in getting in, instantly my body feeling better in the warm water. I could hear Harley singing along to her music as I read my book in the bath. But then another voice caught my attention and I couldn't help but laugh hearing Maisie telling Harley what to wear tonight. It took them a little while to agree on something but eventually they did before Maisie shouted through a cocky "Your Welcome Lizzie" which made me burst out laughing. She is going to be so much trouble in a year or two. I slowly got myself washed then out of the bath before joining Harley in her room, finding her sitting on her bed on her phone. As soon as she spotted me, she turned all her attention towards me, instantly making me a little nervous which only made her grin wider as she watches my every move across the room.
Harley finally took her eyes away long enough to go into the bathroom so she can have a shower, she is too much but in the best way possible. I manage to decide on something to wear tonight after some help from Harley so I got it all ready before moving to her desk to start doing my make up. It doesn't take Harley long to come back from her shower, my gaze following her as she walks out the bathroom in just some boxers and a sports bra. And like always, she catches my eyes on her but she just smirks to herself as she grabs what she needs and walks back into the bathroom to no doubt style her hair for tonight, flashing me a cheeky wink on her way past the mirror infront of me. She is so cheeky and confident in herself, something that attracted me to her when I got to know her better. She isn't one to show off at all, but she knows the effect she has on me and knows exactly how to make me go weak with just one look. I've never been so attracted to someone like I am with Harley. Not only does she look after herself and always dresses to impress, her personality is just unlike anything I have known before. I get completely lost in my thoughts before I feel someone behind me. I can't help but smile stupidly into the mirror as I catch Harley's eyes as she leans down and kisses my neck just under my ear, my body shivering as she does. "Daydreaming again baby girl?" She whispers next to my ear and I swear if I was standing up, my knees would have buckled there and then hearing those words. Fuck she is something special. "I uhm, yeah.. I guess I was." I stumble over my words, instantly cringing at myself before feeling another kiss on the side of my neck. "Your adorable Olsen." She teases again making my smile grow impossibly wider as she walks off to get dressed. I follow her with my eyes, watching her slip into a shirt across the room before finally composing myself enough to finish getting ready myself.
After finishing my make-up, I slip into the dress I picked out for tonight, thankfully being able to zip it up myself at the side. I don't think I could cope with Harley being so close right now with how flustered I still am from a few minutes ago. I adjust the dress into place properly before turning to use the full length mirror. But when I turn around, I see Harley standing looking into the mirror, her eyes glazed over as she is holding onto one of the buttons on her shirt barely moving. I watch as I can see her brain working overtime about something, her chest rising and falling a little heavier than usual. I have an idea on what she could be thinking about, but I need to make sure. I slowly make my way over to where she is standing, gently reaching for her arm when I am close enough too. She jumps slightly at first but quickly relaxes seeing me in the mirror. I stand by her side, rubbing my hand up and down her arm soothingly as my other hand settles against her lower back. I give her time to open up to me, but when she doesn't say anything, I try and encourage her too. "Talk to me Harley.." I whisper, causing her to smile softly in reply as our eyes meet looking towards the mirror. "I just, I don't know if I'm ready for a room full of people right now after everything.." She explains and I nod my head softly as I listen. "I don't want to spoil the day we have had by pushing myself too much tonight." She adds and my smile fades hearing her voice break a little. I lean my head down on her arm, keeping my eyes on hers. "We don't have to go tonight if you don't want too. But if we do, I promise I won't leave your side. And we can leave whenever you want too. Nothing could spoil my time with you Harley." I assure her as best I can, and when I see her smile, my smile returns. "Thank you Lizzie." She leans down and kisses my head, making my smile grow before I leave her to finish getting ready as I do the same.
I finish doing my hair in the bathroom, finally being happy with it, and walk back to see if Harley is ready to go yet. As soon as I walk back into the bedroom, Harley's eyes widen as she looks in my direction. I get nervous instantly as I look down, wondering why she is looking at me like that. "What is it?" I ask as she slowly gets up off the bed and meets me half way as I take a few steps to meet her. "You look Stunning Lizzie." She says softly and instantly my cheeks begin to hurt at how much I am smiling as they heat up at the same time. "Are you sure?" I check as her eyes slowly take in my entire body then meet mine again. "Very sure. How did I get so lucky?" She teases with a small smirk making my legs go weak as I reach out and tug her closer by her shirt. "I have no idea.." I tease back playfully making her laugh as she leans down and leaves a soft kiss against my lips, instantly making me laugh as soon as she pulls away again. "What?" She questions as I lift my thumb up to her lips. "You stole some of my lipstick." I say playfully as I wipe my thumb along her lips causing her to smile. "There, all better." I whisper as I wipe it all off making her chuckle as she takes my hand in hers. "Thank you baby." I smile and have to resist crashing my lips back into hers before she places a kiss on the back of my hand instead, completely melting my heart. "Your such a charmer Harley." I call her out playfully, making her gasp as she lifts her other hand to her chest pretending to be offended. "Who me? Never.." She teases making me laugh as she struts off to get her phone and wallet as I grab my bag and jacket, still laughing at Harley's playfullness. We make sure we both have everything we need as Harley orders a cab then slips on her jacket. I take a second to take a good look at her, my heart racing with how good she looks. "You know, staring is considered very rude Lizzie?" She teases, catching me across the room. "I was admiring, not staring." I call back, making her grin and nod her head. "Fair play Olsen." Fuck.. I can't wait to have this for the rest of my life.
Harley helps me down the stairs in my heels before we safely make it to the kitchen where Stuart, Emily and Maisie greet us with a chorus of compliments and whistling. We both laugh nervously as they all come and say a quick goodbye, making sure to tell us to be safe and have fun, but not too much fun. I can't help but laugh at them all, Maisie gushing over my outfit before we hear the car arrive outside. "If you can't get a car home, ring me and I'll come get you both." Stuart tells us but Harley quickly shakes her head. "You are going to relax and have a drink tonight Dad, we will be fine." She argues making him narrow his eyes before they both laugh and he ushers us out the door to enjoy ourselves. Harley keeps my hand in hers as she helps me down to the car, opening the door for me like always and helping me inside. She quickly follows behind and she gives the driver Tom's street address. There is not too much traffic, but as we get closer, we pass a store on the way and I see fireworks on sale inside. Instantly I begin to panic, worrying about Harley. I lift myself from her shoulder, turning to see her zoned out looking through the window. I nudge her arm gently to get her attention, seeing her slowly turn to face me. "What's wrong Lizzie?" She asks, obviously seeing my panic. "What about the fireworks tonight?" I ask in a rushed voice, making Harley even more confused as her eyebrows scrunch together. "Huh?" She replies making me laugh lightly at her face before I try and explain myself better. "Are you going to be okay when any Fireworks go off at midnight?" I ask, my panic still making my heart race a little in my chest with worry. But Harley just smiles adoringly and goes into her jacket pocket, pulling out a small packet and handing it to me. I turn it over and see the small, bright orange ear plugs making my body completely relax as I look back towards Harley. "I always come prepared during the New Year." She jokes making me giggle and hand them back to her before going back to where I was. "Thank you for thinking about me." She says quietly making my heart skip. "I always will Angel." I reply easily as she wraps her arm around me and keeps me close for the rest of the journey.
~~Monday Evening, London~~
Normal POV
Today with Lizzie has been amazing. Just the two of us, laughing and getting to spend some real quality time together. I love having the time for us to get to know each other even more, hearing Lizzie talk about her life before us meeting, from her childhood up to very recently. I can't help but admire how passionate and hard working she is in everything she puts her mind too. She really is incredible. I ended up talking more about my past with my Mam, Lizzie asking some questions after making sure I would be okay to talk about it all. She is so understanding with everything, just one of the many reasons I fell for her in the first place. But I can't help but feel my nerves growing as we turn onto Tom's street in the Taxi. I know the Party is last minute, but I also know Tom and he will make sure there are plenty of people there. "Just here is fine." I suddenly break the small silence in the car, telling the Driver to stop a few doors down from Tom's house. Lizzie slowly sits up from my shoulder, allowing me the room to go into my pocket so I can pay for the journey. "Ready to go?" I hear Lizzie's soft voice beside me once I hand the money towards the driver, her eyes watching my every move knowing I am already anxious about tonight. "Yeah, let's go." I give her a small smile before we both thank the driver then turn to get out the car. Lizzie following me out of my side so I can help her. I quickly get myself out before turning back and holding my hand out for Lizzie since she is in some heels tonight. I close the door behind us once Lizzie is on her feet so the driver can leave before turning back towards my stunning girlfriend who is already smiling in my direction. "Shall we?" I smile in return, offering her my arm to walk the short distance to Tom's house. "Such a Gentle-women." Lizzie teases my behaviour as she takes my arm, making us both laugh as we begin to walk along the street to reach Tom's place.
We quickly reach the front door, hearing loud music and even louder voices already inside. My heart beating a little faster the closer we get but feeling Lizzie's grip on my forearm gives me something to ground myself too as we slowly come to a stop together. Lizzie quickly moves to knock on the door, but before she can, I gently stop her hand and reach for the door handle knowing it will be open. Tom not being the careful type when it comes to things like this, no matter how many times I tell him. I let Lizzie inside first, instantly hearing how noisy it is but I try and drown it out as best I can, closing the door then wrapping my arm around Lizzie to keep her close as we both start looking for Tom through the crowded room. It doesn't take us long to spot him across the room so we make our way to him, and as soon as he spots us, he makes a bee-line to meet us half way. "THERE'S MY FAVOURITE COUPLE!" Tom yells across to us, making us both laugh as he puts his drink down then opens his arms for us. Lizzie is first for a hug, my smile growing seeing them both laughing as they greet each other before it's my turn. "Hey bestie!" Tom teases as we share a hug. "Good to see you too Spidey." I tease back making him laugh as he pulls away. "Sorry for the last minute invite, but I am so glad you both made it." To quickly picks his drink back up and we quickly catch up the three of us. "How about I get us some drinks?" Lizzie offers after we put out jackets away in the other room. "Are you sure?" I ask but she quickly smiles and nods her head. "More than sure." I smile as she leans up on her tip toes and kisses my cheek before heading towards the kitchen, leaving me and Tom alone. As soon as we turn back to each other, I can see Tom's expression change to a slightly worried one. "You sure your okay after yesterday Harley?" He says carefully, knowing how I can be when I am not on Tour. He really is like the Brother I always wanted but never got..
"It was rough, but Lizzie was amazing. It's been a rollercoaster since coming home to be honest, but I'm slowly getting there." I explain to try and settle his nerves. "You know I'm here whenever you need me." I smile at his caring tone and soft smile. "I know." He smiles before quickly going into his pocket for something. "Oh, before I forget!" He says almost excitedly before pulling out a small packet with some ear-defenders in, my smile growing instantly at the small gesture. "Just in case you forgot." He teases and I can feel my eyes brimming with tears so I quickly pull him into a hug which he easily returns. "Thank you Tom.." I mumble into his shoulder as his grip tightens slightly then we pull apart and compose ourselves. "Come on, let's go have a drink." We share a small laugh as we head out the room and join the Party, my eyes searching for Lizzie instantly. I spot her with Tom's brother, Harry, standing making some drinks in the kitchen. Tom waves them both over to where we are about to sit down, Lizzie flashing over a small smile as she sees me looking for her as I follow behind Tom to sit down in he living room. Harry and Lizzie quickly catch up to us as we find some seats, Tom on one side of his sofa as I sit in the chair next to him. "I wasn't sure what you would prefer so I went for the safe option.." Lizzie leans down slightly towards my ear so I can hear her over the music and voices around us as she hands me a bottle of beer. "Good choice baby, thank you." I return easily, causing her to smile as I go to stand up from the chair so she can sit down. But before I can stand up properly, she presses her hand against my chest to stop me from moving with a small grin on her face. "Stay where you are Soldier." She teases so I sit back in the chair, allowing her room to sit down on my lap facing side-ways towards where Tom and Harry are sitting to my right. My left arm wrapping around her back easily as my hand finds her waist to keep her close, already feeling more relaxed having her close to me.
"So, how was it meeting the Family Harley?" Tom teases after Lizzie spent the last 10 minutes gushing over the Christmas period we spent together. "Nerve-wrecking to say the least, but it was completely worth it. Her Mom is amazing." I tell the two Brother's easily making them both beam over as Lizzie fingers gently scratch at the back of my neck where my hair is growing back in. "Your such a charmer Harley, no wonder her Mom and Sisters love you already." Harry adds making us all laugh as Tom and Lizzie quickly agree with his comment. "It's a English thing.." I reply, making Tom and Harry laugh as Lizzie giggles adorably beside me, shaking her head softly at my comment. "It's just you Harley.." She whispers and kisses my cheek, making Tom and Harry both tease us. "I'm so single.." Tom huffs. "Yeah.. Course you are." I tease and instantly his cheeks burn up. "I am!" He defends but we all just scoff, all knowing the feelings he has for Zendaya are there he just won't admit it to himself. "Whatever you say Holland.." Lizzie teases, making us all laugh before we fall into conversation about work and life as the room around us buzzes with people moving from group to group as the music continues to fill the gaps. I keep finding myself taking small moments to just sit back and take in everything around me, knowing that I should still be on Tour, or just coming home now but instead I have been able to spend the Holidays with the people that mean the most to me. And as hard as it has been emotionally, it has all been worth it to finally be able to meet Lizzie's family and build relationships with her Mom, Trent and her Sisters. Hopefully her Dad comes around one day, but for now, there's nothing I can do. "You okay Angel?" Lizzie's soft voice brings me out of my small daze I must have fell into, a smile easily finding it's way onto my face as my eyes meet hers. "More than okay, how about I get us another drink?" I offer, seeing the cup in her hand is empty. "I can go..?" She begins to offer but I quickly shake my head. "You relax baby, I'll go."
After excusing myself from our small little group and get up from the chair I was sitting in, I leave a quick kiss on Lizzie's cheek then head towards the kitchen, leaving Lizzie to carry on talking with Tom and Harry. I make my way through the small crowds of people, not recognising many faces as I do before I reach the much less crowded kitchen. I put my empty bottle in the bin then turn towards the fridge, but as soon as I do, a very familiar face comes into view without any warning. "Hello Stranger.." Her voice laced with a teasing tone as she is leaning against the counter top, as if she was waiting for me. "Hello Taylor, long time no see.." I reply with a monotone voice, looking towards the brunette looking me up and down with her light brown eyes. "Too long in my opinion." She replies as she pushes herself from the counter and stalks over to where I am standing. "I suppose.." I reply as she reaches me, lifting her arms up over my shoulders and pulling me into a hug before leaving a kiss on my cheek like always. Lingering slightly until I pull myself away. "I didn't expect to see you here tonight, last I heard you were on Tour again Captain Lane." She comments, her body still a little too close but I'm pretty much backed against the other side of the kitchen so there's not much I can do about it right now. "I got back a week early so I've been home for the Holidays.." I reply easily, hoping she loses interest but her eyes carry on studying my every move without moving away at all. "I see. So, how have you been? It's been a while since I last had the pleasure of your company Harley." She asks with a playful grin on her lips, her usual sultry tone of voice. "I'm well yeah, thank you. Yourself?" I keep my answers brief, hoping to get back to Lizzie as soon as I can. "I'm better now." Fuck sake, why is she always like this.. Get me out of this situation.
"So, a little birdie told me your dating a famous actress now. Is that true?" She asks with a knowing tone, of course she knows, I'd be very surprised if she didn't considering it is not a secret to anyone anymore. "I am seeing someone. She's here tonight actually.." I reply, hoping knowing Lizzie is here might get her to back off a little. "Is she now, are you going to introduce us?" Or maybe not. I can't help but scoff and laugh lightly at her suggestion. "Why? So you can give her evil looks and cause unnecessary tension?" I almost spit as I finally manage to move around Taylor and towards the fridge to grab a beer. But her body soon follows my movements, not giving me much room still. "Now, now Harley.. That's not very nice." She teases but I bite back quickly, knowing exactly what she can be like. "Come on Taylor, I know you, you love the drama." I call back as I take the top off my bottle with my hand, a trick I learnt as a teenager since I never remembered a bottle opener. "I mean, your not wrong, but have I ever done that to you?" She taunts but I just laugh without humour. "Yes, you have actually.." I deadpan. Remembering it all too well. "Okay, maybe once.. But I can't help it. Your the one that got away.." Taylor steps forward, reaching for my shirt buttons but I instantly step back, putting distance between us as much as I can, not liking her teasing behaviour and what she said at all. "Okay that's enough Taylor. You know what happened between us was what it was, nothing more. You know I'm with someone so why try and flirt so obviously with me now?" I say sternly, knowing she won't listen unless I do. "I'm just.." She begins again, leaning forward to get closer but I cut her off. "You know what, I'm going back to.." I wave her off, but I don't get the chance to finish my sentence as I suddenly feel someone beside me as a subtle hand moves around to settle against my stomach. Instantly I tense slightly knowing this could end badly..
~~Late Monday Evening, London~~
Lizzie POV
So far so good. I know Harley was anxious about tonight but so far she has been relaxed and seems to be enjoying herself. She is always smiling when she is around Tom, the both of them being so alike in a lot of ways. It's been nice being in a relaxed environment with Tom for a change, usually only seeing each other for work. I find myself more relaxed around Tom then some of the actors I work with, he is so carefree and easily to get along with. Doesn't take anything too serious, just like Harley. And Harry is like a slightly younger version of Tom. I get lost listening to them both telling me more about their Charity they founded and what they do and who they help. One of the benefits of being in the Public eye, being able to help those who need it. I get so lost that I lose track of how long Harley has been gone for getting some drinks and instantly I begin to worry about her when I realise it's been a little while. I slowly glance over behind Tom and Harry towards where the kitchen is, and instantly I regret looking when I see Harley stood talking with a girl I've never seen before. I can't take my eyes away, seeing how close the brunette is with Harley as her eyes travel up and down my girlfriends body. I catch Tom following my eyeline before he cringes subtly when he finds Harley as well, making my worries only grow seeing his reaction. As much as I don't want to know who it is, I need too before I begin to spiral. "Tom.." I ask, not looking away from the kitchen. "Yes?" He answers worriedly. "Who is Harley talking too?" I ask without missing a beat. "Who that? Oh, that's just Taylor." His voice is giving away everything I need to know, he can't hide anything from anyone. "Taylor?" I question, still not recognising the name. "Yeah, she's an old friend of mine." He stumbles slightly over his words, only adding to my concerned thoughts. "Oh.. Does she know Harley then?" I try and put things together as Tom doesn't look in my direction. "They know each other I think, yeah.." Oh, great..
I can't help but worry hearing how nervous Tom's voice is, my eyes following the girl's movements in the kitchen as she stays close with Harley. Hating every second of this. She is way too close for comfort, and her eyes are travelling to places they shouldn't be. "How well do they know each other?" I question quietly, already hating the answer before I even hear it. "Well, they've spoken a few times at my Parties and stuff.." This is not sounding good. "Is that all?" I ask, not wanting to know but needing too. "Uhm.." Tom hesitates, obviously either not knowing the extent or not wanting to tell me. "Tom..?" I question, hating this bubbling feeling I am getting in my chest. "Maybe Harley should be the one to tell you." Tom avoids answering, only adding to my suspicions. "She's already told me about her exes and a Taylor never came up." I explain out loud, not to anyone in particular. "She's not exactly an ex.." Tom adds but quickly closes his eyes as if he said the wrong thing, Harry quickly putting his hand over his face and shaking his head. Confirming Tom obviously slipped up. "So they hooked up?" I ask a little sternly, wanting to know what I am missing as I finally take my eyes away from the kitchen and look between the two Brother's. "I think so.." Harry answers this time as Tom keeps his mouth shut, his eyes giving away the small amount of guilt he is feeling. I slowly look back over and instantly I see the girl stepping closer to Harley as she moves towards the other side of the kitchen, my blood boiling at the girls actions. I quickly decide to get up, my eyes on Harley as I make my way to the kitchen. I spot Harley step back straight away which makes my heart flutter for her seeing her backing away but my anger is bubbling over as I get closer and see the girls eyes still over my Soldier.
As soon as I reach the kitchen, I make a bee-line for Harley, not giving any attention to the brunette standing infront of her. My hand quickly finding it's way around Harley's body, resting against her stomach protectively as my other hand finds her lower back. Instantly I feel Harley tense up a little under my touch, my eyes now trained on the brunette infront of me. Taking a few seconds to study the girl I now know as Taylor. Slim body, light brown eyes, tattoo under her ribs.. She's pretty. Shit she's pretty. Okay Lizzie.. Stay calm. "I thought you got lost Soldier.." I turn to look up slightly towards Harley, my teasing tone helping her relax a little under my touch as I gently scratch at her lower back over her shirt. "Sorry baby.. I uh, I got talking." Harley's bright Hazel eyes finding my own easily, a small nervous smile on her lips as she is a little hesitent with her words, the girls eyes moving to find me now instead of Harley. I eventually move my eyes from Harley's gaze, turning my attention to the girl still standing infront of us. Her eyes bouncing between me and Harley, an obvious hint of jealousy behind them only confirming what Tom and Harry told me. I take in a deep breath, painting on a confident smile so she can't see how this is effecting me right now. Thanking my years of acting to help me. "I don't think we've met, I'm Elizabeth." I state confidently as I move to reach my hand from Harley's stomach out towards the girl stood ahead of us. Her demenour changing instantly as she steps forward a little to greet me in return. "It's so nice to meet you Elizabeth. I'm Taylor, an old friend of-" I quickly jump in to cut her off, hating how smug she is being all of a sudden. "An old friend of Tom's right?" I question, catching her by surprise.
"Um, yes.. I uhm." The girl is stuttering now making me smirk slightly before I turn away from her and shift my attention back to Harley again. "I'm sorry to have interupted you two, but Tom wants a drink whilst your here, if that's okay baby?" I say towards Harley, catching her by surprise at my over the top tone of voice. But she smiles anyways and nods her head softly. "Yeah, of course. Here's your drink, I'll get his now." Harley hands me a small can of an already mixed cocktail with a slightly confused look on her face. I take my drink from Harley before she turns away to grab Tom a drink as I turn slightly to look back at Taylor. A very obvious look on her face now she is standing there, not moving from the situation. Great. Keep your cool Lizzie. "So, what do you do Taylor?" I ask though gritted teeth, not wanting to cause a scene in anyway. "I'm a make-up artist." She replies without hesitation, a smug grin now on her face. "Ah, I see. Do you work mainly here in London." I question further. "I do, yes." She replies before a small awkward silence falls between us. Thankfully, it doesn't last for too long as Harley turns back around with two bottles in her hand. I catch her awkward smile as she looks between us then moves to stand back beside me, her free hand finding my lower back easily. "It was nice seeing you again Tay." Harley says, cringing a little after using an obvious nickname but she shakes it off and looks towards Taylor as she smiles and looks back at Harley, a completely different look in her eyes now. "It was very nice seeing you again Harley. Don't be a stranger." She says in a slightly teasing tone before smiling back to me. "Elizabeth. Pleasure to meet you." God I hate how smug she is right now. "Yes, you too, Tyler was it?" I say, hoping to get under her skin. And it works. I can't help but smirk as Taylor struts off before I turn to Harley who's body is completely tense again.
"You, Harley Lane, have some explaining to do." I tease a little as I turn around and step closer into Harley's body, my hand lifting up to toy with the front of her shirt. "I uh.. Well.. I-I" I can't help but find Harley's stumbling and rambling a little adorable, seeing the nervousness growing in her body language. "Need some air?" I whisper up against her lips, pressing myself against her body slightly more. "I uh, yes actually. Yeah, let's go outside?" I try and hide a small laugh trying to escape my mouth before I take Harley's free hand, leading her back to Tom to give him his drink before grabbing our jackets and heading outside where it's a lot quieter. We slip on our jackets after closing the doors behind us, instantly giving us somewhere quieter and less crowded to talk. The air is deffinently cooler but it's not as bad as I thought it would be. We walk over away from the glass doors, standing near the fenced area to one side. A few moments of silence fill the air between us, Harley leaning back against the fence behind her as I stand slightly infront of her. I hate this growing awkwardness, we need to squash this now before it gets any worse. "So, Taylor. How do you two know each other?" I ask suddenly, moving my eyes up slowly to meet Harley's, catching her anxious demenour. "Okay, so her name is Taylor Walker. She's an old friend of Tom's. We first met at one of his Birthday Parties and long story short, we ended up spending the night together. She asked to see me again so we ended up going for coffee a couple of days later. After that, we met up again for some food and drinks and ended up spending the night together again after a few too many drinks. But I left that night, and when she asked to see me again I turned her down, not wanting anything serious at the time." I can't help but smile at how open and honest Harley always is with me, no matter what it is we are talking about. I never have to push for anything more, she gives me more than what I need to hear without hesitation. Another reason why I fell so easily for her.
I keep my eyes on Harley's as I step forward without saying a word, slipping my hands under her open jacket and leaning my hands against her hips, stepping between her feet to be closer to her. "Thank you for being so honest with me about her." I whisper into the small space left between us as I look up slightly at Harley, seeing a small smile appear on her lips at my words. "I'll always be completely honest with you Lizzie. I only didn't tell you sooner because I never classed her as an ex, and I haven't seen much of her since.." She explains even further, causing my heart to race and my smile to grow even wider. "I get that. I'm not mad at you Harley. I just, I didn't like how she was looking at you earlier." I admit easily, making sure she knows this is nothing she has done. "Yeah she uh, she likes to cause drama where ever she goes. I only learnt that after I brought Becca to one of Tom's Parties and she was not happy about it." I hate girls like that. There is no need to be bitter. I nod my head with a small smile at her words. "I'm glad I came over to save you.." I tease her a little, nipping at her hips making her squirm slightly and laugh. "Me too baby girl." She teases back making my cheeks instantly heat up at her tone and choice of words. But before I can try and hide my cheeks into her body, Harley lifts one hand up under my chin, her thumb and finger gently lifting my face up to meet her lips lowering towards mine. The heat from her lips drawing me in instantly as I lean up on my tip toes, using where my hands are resting against her body to keep my balance as we fall into a soft, passionate kiss. Harley's fingers slowly gliding across my skin, from under my chin, tracing my jawline towards the side of my neck. Her delicate touch sending goose-bumps across my body. My hands gripping at the sides of her shirt, pulling her impossibly closer, not being able to get enough of her. The jealousy that built up in my chest from earlier being let out into her lips, our tongues teasing each other, knowing we can't go any further right now..
As much as I want too.. As much as Harley drives me insane.. Just being with her like this is more than enough right now..
