A/N ~~ Time for the After-Party...

~~Monday Evening, L.A.~~

Normal POV

Being on the Red Carpet with Lizzie has been more fun than I expected it to be. Everyone is so relaxed, even with millions of eyes on them and hundreds of cameras constantly taking pictures at every second. Tom made sure to find me as soon as he could, making me feel even more at ease as he pretty much followed behind us with Chris Evans soon catching up with us. Rachel took Lizzie further down the Carpet to do some solo photos now she is completely at ease, so I stayed back with Tom and Chris keeping me company whilst they took a break with a drink in hand. I keep getting lost watching Lizzie do her thing, the way she holds her own and looks so perfect doing so is making me fall for her all over again. She is so amazing, in every way possible. "You drooling mate.." Tom teases, catching me watching my Superstar girlfriend posing up a storm at the cameras are loving every second. "Can you blame me? I mean, I get to go home with her!" I tease back, making both Tom and Chris burst out laughing. "Fair point.." Tom concedes, making my smirk in triumph as Chris wraps his arm over my shoulder, his huge body making me feel very small right now. "You are one very lucky girl Harley. Lizzie is not only jaw-droppingly beautiful, she is the kindest soul I have ever met." Chris gushes, making me smile as I nod my head in agreement. "She certainly is.." I reply easily as we all seem to just watch her for a moment before she catches us all staring. She quickly waves us away shyly, making us all laugh as Chris whistles up at her making her flip him off subtly. That's my girl. I send her a wink, making her blush even more before she manages to shake it off and get back to her pictures. "I have never seen her so happy and confident at these types of things Harley, you deffinently bring out the very best in her." Chris adds making me beam up at him at his kind words. He is just a big teddy bear deep down. "And can I just say, the entrance on the Harley, that was something special mate!" Tom adds, making me laugh as he shows us how much it is trending on Social Media. Yeah, up yours David! "You both looked so badass Harley!" Chris adds making me laugh as we see some of the comments. They are all so positive, and I am so grateful. "That will show her Dad who is right!" Tom teases, making me smile and pull him into a quick hug.

We spend some more time just lost in conversation before I feel a very familiar pair of arms wrap around me from behind, making me instantly chuckle as I see Chris and Tom beaming back at the two of us. "Hey Liz!" Chris gives her away, making me laugh as she comes around to my side under my arm, so I easily hold her close as she shoots Chris a look before smiling up at me. "Hey you." I say softly, making her eyes sparkle as I lean down and kiss her cheek. "Hello Soldier." She teases back, making me grin as we just stare for a moment before she shakes herself back to reality and lifts her arms up to rest her hands against my chest. "I've come to steal you away so I can do some interviews.." She says a little nervously, making me quickly realise she wants me with her. "Alright, I'm ready when you are." I quickly assure her, making her beam up at me as we say a quick goodbye to Tom and Chris, telling them we will see them later before Lizzie takes my arm again as we catch up with Rachel who leads us to our first interview. As soon as we make our way to him, he beams back when he sees us and quickly welcomes us to one side with a camera pointed at us from behind him. Okay, this just got a little more real. I seem to go a little mute for a minute as I let Lizzie take the introductions before any spotlight lands on me. "Wow Miss Olsen, you look incredible tonight! And finally, I get to see the famous Soldier in person! It's a pleasure to finally meet you Harley." I let Lizzie keep the conversation going, not wanting to jump in until I have too. "Thank you, and yes, I managed to convince her to come with me tonight." She teases, making me chuckle as she glances towards me with a cheeky grin on her face. "I'm glad you did. You both make a very handsome couple." The interviewer gushes, making us both laugh as Lizzie naturally gravitates into my side impossibly closer as she thanks him before he seems to look more in my direction now. "How are you finding it Harley?" Here we go. Breathe Harley. Just relax. I feel Lizzie grip onto my arm as I feel her gentle eyes on me as I clear my throat to find my voice again. "Nerve-wrecking, but it's amazing being able to be a part of Lizzie's World." I manage to say without stumbling thankfully..

"You seem to be doing well to hide those nerves so far Harley.." He adds and I smile at his kind words. "Thank you, it is a lot to take in but everyone is very relaxed and welcoming tonight so that always makes it easier." I reply and he beams back at my words. "Now, Miss Olsen.. Any chance in seeing you on screen tonight?" He quickly changes the topic, knowing we don't have long before we have to move on. Lizzie giggles adorably, knowing he is not getting an answer like that from her tonight. "Oh I don't know about that.. I guess we will find out soon." She quickly answers, making him laugh as he nods his head in defeat before we move down to our next interview. Lizzie keeps me close as we say hello to the Women infront of us, who seems to bubbly and full of energy. We say hello and she compliments us on our looks tonight, asking Lizzie about her necklace making Lizzie beam in reply. "This one here bought if for me as a surprise before we left.." She carries on gushing about her present, making me chuckle as they talk a little more about it and then covering the Bike entrance. I manage to stay pretty quiet for a little longer this time, letting Lizzie take lead on the conversation. She is in her element and knows how to deal with all of this so the more she can lead, the better. "It's a surprise seeing you not alone on the Red Carpet tonight, this is our first time seeing you with someone during a Marvel Premiere." Lizzie quickly beams to her side at me, tugging on my arm a little before she says anything more. "I feel very lucky to have someone like Harley by my side tonight. She makes everything so much easier. And plus, she is a huge Marvel fan herself so I couldn't not bring her to see this movie tonight." She teases and I can't help but laugh at her outing me so openly. "That is very sweet, your a lucky girl Lizzie." She adds and Lizzie nods her head in agreement. "That I am." Lizzie adds easily, my heart pounding in my chest at her words, so much so I can't help my next words slip out. "I can assure you both, I am the lucky one. I mean, I have the most beautiful and incredibly talented women by my side, and I get to share a night like tonight with my Girl. I feel on top of the World when ever I get to share any part of her life, so tonight is an absolute privilege." They both go silent and instantly I begin to worry I have said something wrong. Fuck.. What have I done-

"Wow.. Okay I'm getting emotional, you both better get yourselves inside before you set me off. It was lovely speaking with you both!" The interviewer finishes and we both say out goodbyes as Rachel comes to lead us up towards the theatre inside to find our seats. Lizzie hasn't said anything but just as we make it inside, she pulls me off to one side and turns me so we are facing each other. An unreadable look in her eyes as she searches my face for something. "Everything alright Lizzie?" I ask, getting a little worried as I see her eyes glossing over slightly. "Your so sweet Harley, what you said before.. You have no idea how much I adore everything about you. I love you so much." Lizzie rambles and I quickly realise I said all the right things earlier. "All the truth baby.." I quickly add, making her choke back a small sob before she quickly dabs her eyes so her make-up doesn't run making us both laugh softly. "Come on baby, before you get me started." I say softly, making her nod her head as she composes herself and reaches for my hand, lacing our fingers together. "After you beautiful.." I hold out my other arm, making her giggle as she bows her head teasingly before she leads us inside to where Rachel is waiting for us. "You have both smashed it tonight, I am very proud of you two. Now, let's go inside and watch this Movie." Rachel beams, handing us both a glass of champagne before grabbing one for herself. We all share a quick cheers before following behind everyone and making our way inside the Theatre. We find our seats, thankfully I am sitting at the end of the row with Lizzie by side and Rachel on the other side of Lizzie. We get comfortable as everyone finds their seats, the lights slowly dimming around the room as everyone falls almost silent. As much as I have loved today, I am beyond excited to be able to be one of the first to see this film. Normally I am one of the last to see anything like this when I am away on Tour, but tonight, I am one of the first. And I feel so lucky to be able to share this with Lizzie. "You ready Soldier?" She whispers, making me grin as I turn to see her bright eyes staring back at me. "Born ready.." I tease, feeling her fingers between my own sitting between us. "I love you." I whisper, leaning in to kiss her lips. "I love you too baby." She whispers in return before none other than Kevin Feige takes to the stage..

Wow.. Fucking wow! What a film.. I am lost for words. Completely stunned. That was insane!

Everyone is up on their feet as the end credits play, the entire cast shown one by one on screen before the Original 6 are last to be shown. He cheers and whistles filling the whole of L.A right now as everyone just takes it in what we just witnessed. And I am right there with them, clapping my hands together and I cheer with everyone in the room. It takes minutes for everyone to calm down around us, and when I finally do, I turn to Lizzie who is wiping underneath her eyes with a tissue before she begins laughing as she sees my tear stained cheeks and red eyes. "Aw baby.. Come here." She coos as she takes out another tissue and wipes my tears away for me. "That was so emotional.." She whispers in the close space between us, making me nod softly in agreement. "It certainly was..2 I reply in agreement, making her beam as she finishes up and everyone slowly begins to make their way out of the theatre. We wait for the room to clear a little before I step out and take Lizzie's hand as we wait for Rachel and then leave the room together. We make it outside the theatre and manage to stand away from the crowds as we just take a minute to gather ourselves before taking on what is to come next. I button up my jacket as Lizzie checks she has everything before she comes to stand infront of me again, my mind still trying to get itself around what I just watched. "Are you sure your okay Harley?" She teases, resting her hands against my stomach as I smile down at her. "I mean, I don't know.. That was one hell of a Roller-Coaster. How could they do that too Natasha, and Tony.." I ramble a little, making her giggle in reply. "You are so cute." She tells me, leaning up to peck my lips softly. "But one thing I am certain of was that Wanda was deffinently ready to kick Thanos' arse before he called in that air strike. You were incredible Elizabeth Chase! Seriously, you were born to play Wanda Maximoff." I gush about her, my eyes widening as I remember how amazing she was on that screen. "Thank you baby." She beams up at me before Rachel signals for us to follow her outside.

We make our way through the theatre, Lizzie's hand in mine as I keep her close. "So, Where too now?" I question, not knowing what to expect now that we have watched the film. "They always have a sort of After-Party.. A few drinks and speeches to celebrate the Movie." Lizzie tells me easily, making me smile and nod my head in reply. "Sounds good." I reply easily, making her beam up at me as we take a side exit and find our car to take us to the next venue. I make sure Lizzie gets in first before following behind as Rachel gets into the passenger seat up front. It only takes us a few minutes to make it to the next venue, but when we arrive, Rachel turns to talk to us inside the car. "Well, my job is done for today. So, enjoy yourselves tonight, and I will be in touch." Rachel beams between us as we each say thank you before saying our goodbyes and getting out the car. I help Lizzie out the car before she quickly holds onto my arm as we are met by more cameras outside the venue. We make our way inside pretty easily, finding ourselves in a huge open plan room with huge ceilings and a massive bar running along one wall and a big stage on the other side across the room. I take everything in as we follow in behind the few people infront of us before Lizzie turns us away from the bar and towards some tables further in the room. I follow her lead easily, quickly seeing Scarlett waving us over. As soon as we reach the table, Lizzie rushes forward to greet Scarlett as she steps out from the table, another blonde standing with her back to us for now behind Scarlett who I catch but I don't know who it is. Yet. Once they have said a proper hello, Scarlett comes to say hello. Instantly I open my arms for her as she does the same, pulling me into a tight hug. "It's so good to see you Soldier!" She greets, making me beam as I hug her even tighter. "You too Johansson, although, we need to have words about what I just had to see." I tease as we pull away from the hug, and instantly I catch her smiling softly before giggling at my words. "I'll take that.. But maybe later after a few drinks so I'm less emotional." She teases back, making me chuckle before my attention is pulled to the other blonde now facing where I am standing..

"Harley, I'd like to introduce Brie Larson a.k.a. Captain Marvel. Brie, this is Harley Lane." Lizzie introduces us and instantly I smile as we share a quick hug. "It's so nice to finally meet you Harley! I have heard a lot about you, all good, I promise." Brie greets after our quick hug, making me smile as I catch Lizzie blushing at her words. "It's a pleasure to meet you too Miss Larson." I return easily, making her blush a little before waving me off playfully. "Please, call me Brie." She tells me, making me smile as I nod at her request before we stand around the higher table, instantly I notice none of us have a drink. "How about I get us some drinks?" I offer, and all three girls quickly smile and tell me what they would like. "I'll be right back." I tell them all, leaning over to kiss Lizzie's cheek before I make my way over towards the bar. It's quiet busy but I want Lizzie to relax so I don't mind making sure she has a drink so she can catch up and see everyone again. I finally make it to the bar and manage to order some drinks. The waiter asked who I was with and as soon as I mentioned Lizzie's name, he told me that there is also a bottle of champagne to be added to the table free of charge so I told him to put three glasses with it for the girls and I added another bottle of beer to the order, knowing the girls will be well topped up with the bottle of champagne as well as their drinks. Once he had my order, I waited by the bar, relaxing as I took in the room, seeing so many big names who I never imagined to be in the same room as before my attention got pulled to the sound of someone saying Lizzie's name. Instantly I recognise the voice, not being able to miss it from the short distance since they are standing right behind me at the bar. I tune in to whoever he is talking too, wanting to know what is being said about Lizzie. I manage to quickly decipher the other voice as Benedict Cumberbatch, the English accents giving them both away as I lean back slightly so I can hear every word that is being said between the two of them.

".. I never seen that one coming Benedict." "Never seen what coming Tom?" "Lizzie dating a women." "I mean, it was a bit of a surprise, but she doesn't really label herself in that way so.." "Yeah but come on, she could have anyone.. Why would she just settle for someone like that? What's the Soldier got that others haven't?" "She seems great. Everyone who knows her speaks very highly of her." "I don't buy it.."

My chest instantly tightens as their voices drown out whilst they walk away from the bar, my head turning to watch them and make sure I knew I was right about who it was having the conversation. I see Benedict first before my eyes find the man beside him, Tom Hiddleston. What the fuck is his problem? And why is he so bothered about who Lizzie is with.. Instantly I kick myself for not putting it together sooner, they had a thing years ago. For all it didn't last long, she did tell me about it and how he didn't treat her very well. That along making my blood boil even more now that he has an issue with her being with someone else. I watch them disappear across the room, my eyes burning into Tom as he smugly smiles as he turns the corner. I am snapped from my trail of thought as the waiter places the tray of drinks infront of me. I make sure to thank him before taking the drinks back to the table, trying to calm myself down before I get there. I take some calming breaths and reach the table, placing the tray down carefully as the girls all quickly thank me and sort out their drinks as I take a bottle of beer and gulp nearly half it down to try and calm myself down. I catch Scarlett looking at me as I do, but I just smile and she seems to leave it for now thankfully. "Thank you Soldier." Lizzie comes to my side, her free hand finding my stomach as she takes a sip of her drink. Her touch helps me settle a little more as I kiss her forehead before she relaxes back into her conversation with Scarlett and Brie, leaning into my side as she does. I end up focusing in and out of their conversation, my mind replaying the conversation I heard at the bar over and over in my head on repeat. Not knowing what to do for the best. After a little while, and two beers later, I catch the sound of Paul's voice across the room. Instantly I look over and see him talking with none other than Tom. My blood boiling over again as I see him. My body reacting without hesitation as I finish the last of my second bottle and turn towards Lizzie. Knowing deep down I can't sit back and do nothing..

"I'll be right back, I'm going to catch Paul a second before I get another drink." I tell Lizzie, hoping she doesn't see the anger building behind my eyes. "Okay, don't be gone too long baby.." She whispers, making my chest tighten at her words. "I won't, I promise." I reassure her, knowing she will be safe with Scarlett looking out for her. I excuse myself from the table, Scarlett giving me a knowing look, as if she knows something is up, but I just smile and head off towards where Paul is standing with Tom and Benedict. I know I need to stay calm, but I can't sit back and not say anything after what I heard him say at the bar. No one has the right to say things like that behind my back, or Lizzie's. Especially someone who has treat her so wrongly in the past. I haven't even met him, but already I don't have the best opinion on him. Hopefully a quiet word between us will resolve this issue and I can get back to enjoying my night with Lizzie. There is no way I will make a scene or cause an issue on a night like this. I wouldn't do that to Lizzie. But I do want to have a word and see why that was said. Hopefully he can be mature and civil so we can talk about this calmly. When I reach the table, Paul sees me coming and I instantly paint on a smile as Tom and Benedict also see me. "Ah Harley! Welcome, come on in, come and say hello." Paul greets and I feel my jaw clenching as he introduces me to the two other Brits. "Gentlemen, this is Lizzie's girlfriend Harley Lane. Harley, this is Benedict and Tom as I'm sure you already know." He says as he has one arm around my shoulders comfortingly. I can see how uneasy Benedict has suddenly gone at my presence, obviously remembering Tom's words from earlier as well as me. "Pleasure to meet you Harley." Benedict manages to say as we shake hands. "Pleasure is all mine Benedict, I love your work. Dr Strange obviously taking top spot." I joke with him to ease the tension, and thankfully it works and he seems to relax. "Ah, thank you very much. He is a favourite of mine as well." He jokes back before I turn my attention towards the man I came to see..

~~Monday Evening, L.A.~~

Lizzie POV

I can't help but watch as Harley heads off to see Paul. I know they get on really well, but something is telling me there is something else going on. I can't quite work it out yet, but she seems a little tense when she left. I watch as she greets Paul happily, and he does the same before she is introduced to Benedict. They share some kind words and smiles between each other before the other man comes into view and Harley shakes his hand and instantly I feel sick. I didn't even notice him standing there never mind Harley having to interact with him. Fuck. This could end badly. I opened up to her eventually about what happened between us, as much as I hated to talk about it, I wanted to be completely honest with Harley. I know she hated hearing about it, and then when I told her how badly he treat me after we had a few dates I could see her anger building. What I had with Tom was very short lived, but it happened and I can't change that. I got caught up with him and his promises, but he never kept one of them. As much as I love the work I did on the movie we did together, which lead to our encounters, a part of me wishes I had turned it down to avoid what happened off screen with Tom. My heart is now racing as I watch Harley's jaw clenching slightly as she continues in talking with all three men, Paul keeping an comforting arm around her shoulders as they do. I just hope he doesn't try and say something to upset her in anyway after what happened. I cut things off, and he wasn't happy about it. Fuck this is a disaster. "Liz? What is it?" Scarlett's voice snaps me from watching them across the room, instantly she seems to see my slightly flustered state as she moves closer and reaches for my arm. "I don't know I just, I feel like something is up with Harley.." I begin to ramble, not wanting to worry her either. I know how much she adore Harley and is very protective of her. So I know she will worry just as much as me. "How come?" Brie asks sweetly, wanting to help like she always does. She really is such a kind soul. "I don't know, just a feeling I guess.." I barely get out, my anxiety going through the roof for the first time tonight.

I let my eyes wander back to where Harley is, seeing how tensed her body is as Tom seems to be leading the conversation now. I know something is bothering her. I can see it from here. Fuck, do I go over there? I don't know what to do.. Scarlett and Brie seem to follow my eyeline, finding Harley and watching with me for a minute or so before I think aloud without realising. "Something is bothering her.. Her body is tense." I catch myself before I say anything more when I see Scarlett and Brie both look back at me with sympathetic smiles as they both move to comfort me. Scarlett's hand rubbing up and down my back as Brie reaches for my free hand. "She'll be okay, Harley can handle herself better than most Lizzie." Scarlett tells me confidently, and I nod softly in reply knowing she is right. "Scarlett's right, plus, Paul is there. He thinks the World of Harley, he won't let anything or anyone upset her." Brie adds and I smile at her kind words. Knowing she is right too. Paul would never let anything happen whilst he is there. "Yeah, your both right.. Thank you." I tell them both, making them smile as we try and fall back into our conversations, catching up since we last seen Brie since it has been so long. We share some stories with Scarlett from being on Set together since she wasn't there for some of it. We get lost in conversation, laughing and catching up before they begin to ask me about how it's been with Harley today. I can't help but gush about how amazing she has been at easing my nerves. They both ramble on and on about how incredible our entrance was on the Bike and how jealous they both are. I can't help but laugh as they complain about not having a Harley like me before Scarlett brings up what happened with Dad and how I think it will effect him. "Honestly, if he can't be happy for me and Harley, then I don't value his opinion." I tell her honestly and she quickly beams back at me. "Good. I'm proud of you Liz. I love seeing you back to being you. Harley really does bring out the best in you." She rambles and I catch Brie beaming at her words. "She makes me feel safer than I have ever felt. I can just be myself." I add and they both gush over Harley even more, making my heart race at how much everyone seems to adore My Soldier..

After getting completely lost in conversation, I have forgotten about Harley. I quickly look over at where she was not too long ago, but my eyes widen when I don't find her there anymore. Instantly my heart begins to pound in my chest wondering where she could be. I search the room quickly, not being able find her anywhere on my own. "Can either of you see Harley anywhere?" I ask Scarlett and Brie, who quickly join me in looking around the room before turning back to where I am standing. "I can't see her anywhere.." Scarlett tells me softly and I let out a sigh as I turn to Brie. "And she's not with Paul anymore.." Brie adds and I snap my head to follow her eyeline. "What?" I ask in slight panic. "Paul is over there with Holland and Evans.. But no Harley." Brie adds, pointing to where Paul is standing with Chris and Tom Holland, no sign of Harley anywhere. "Shit.." I sigh, finishing my drink as Scarlett quickly comes to my side again. "She might just be at the bathroom Liz, or getting herself a drink. Try not to worry okay?" Scarlett comforts and I nod my head softly in reply, knowing she could just be doing either one of those things. I hope she is. I hope Tom hasn't upset her in anyway, I know he can be vindictive and clever with his words. We have barely spoke since what happened, but I have heard some of what he has said about behind closed doors. So I wouldn't put it past him to try and push Harley's buttons. Thankfully, I can't overthink too long as I hear a familiar, calming English accent approach the table. "Good evening Ladies, how are we all?" Paul comes to stand to my side, in between myself and Brie as we all turn to smile his way. "Hey Paul, we're great, but we seem to have lost Harley.." Scarlett begins thankfully, I know she will be worried about her but she won't want to show it too much knowing how my anxiety can be. "Was she just with you?" I add to Scarlett's statement, and Paul quickly puts his drink on the table as he takes a second to think about his words. "Ah yes she was, but when I left, she went for a private word with Tom at the bar." Oh fuck. That is not what I wanted to hear right now. What could they possibly need to talk about privately..

"Do they know each other?" Brie questions softly, seeing the shift in tension at the table. "No.." I whisper, hating the idea of them being together like that. I know Harley can handle herself, but I don't want Tom to have the opportunity to push her buttons and make her out to be the bad guy if she does snap. "Don't worry yourself Lizzie. Everything will be fine." Paul quickly tries to comfort me, but my nerves are already beyond that point. The only person that can help me is Harley. "Harley will be fine Lizzie.. Not sure about Tom though!" Scarlett adds, and as much as I love her, that did not help me right now. My thoughts are already spiralling enough. "Do you think I should go over and find them..?" I ask no one in particular, needing to have someone else's opinion rather than my own right now. "Liz, they'll be fine. Harley was very calm when I left them. She is level headed and won't cause any problems on a night like this. She'll be back soon." Paul seems to pick up on my growing anxiousness and tries to calm me down. His words bring me some comfort, but I just want to see Harley now. I need to know everything is okay. "Your right.. Thanks Paul." I force a smile, which he seems to pick up on but doesn't say anything. "My pleasure." He smiles in reply, wrapping an arm around me as the table falls into another small comfortable silence. My mind is still racing with where Harley could be and what is happening. What are they even talking about? I trust Harley, and I know she can stay calm. She proved that with how my Dad has treat her. But I can't help but worry about someone making her out to be something she isn't. The paparazzi have tried to paint her as the 'angry Soldier' a few times when they have pushed her in public, but there are a lot more people here tonight. And Tom has a lot of friends who could help his cause if that's what he wants to do. I just need her to come back and tell me she is okay. I need my Soldier. I need to see her before my thoughts spiral too much. Where are you Harley..?

~~Monday Night, L.A.~~

Normal POV

After some small talk with Paul and Benedict, I followed Tom to a quieter corner of the huge room, away from most of the people in their small groups so we could have a word. I didn't have to say why I wanted to talk, he already knew by the look on his face. Once we found somewhere to talk, not being able to go outside knowing how many cameras will see us, I took a calming breath before switching to Captain Harley. Wanting to stay as calm as possible for this conversation. "So, what is it you wanted to talk about Harley?" Tom begins and I already feel my chest tightening at his smug look spreading across his face. My jaw clenching slightly as I choose my words wisely. "I over-heard your conversation with Benedict at the Bar earlier about myself and Lizzie.." I begin to explain my reasoning, wanting his to have the opportunity to remember what was said before I carry on. I catch a hint of worry behind his eyes before he shakes it away and nods his head in reply. "Go on.." He gestures so I nod my head and add to my previous statement. "And I just wanted to make sure that you don't have a problem with our relationship." I add and he seems to arch an eyebrow at my words. "Why would I?" He asks pretty quickly, making me almost scoff at his stupid question. "You tell me Tom. You did bring it up with someone who is not involved in my relationship very publicly might I add..?" I bite back more words that wanted to come out my mouth as I let him think about his next words. Seeing him torn a little at what he wants to say before he clears his throat and begins to speak, his chest slightly puffed out letting me know I am not going to like what he is about to say. "Well, let's be honest here Harley. Lizzie is a very accomplished and extremely beautiful Women. She could have anyone in this room at the snap of a finger, so excuse me for wondering what it is about you that made her settle down so quickly." This pretentious arsehole.. I have to stop myself from punching him in the face with that sentence. Why do some Celebrities think they are above everyone else? Alright Harley, play it cool. Breathe.

"Is that what you think she is doing? Settling for someone who isn't a Celebrity.." I ask, wanting to see his reaction. "Your reading into this all wrong. You see, Celebrities live a very different walk of life. So they usually want someone who understands that. Not someone who is extremely.. different." He picks his words carefully, but I can see exactly what he is trying to say and I don't like it one bit. "I see. So if I was some sort of Celebrity, I would be seen as better for her?" I add and he quickly scoffs lightly at my words. Calling him out on exactly what he wants to say but won't out loud. Or in so many words. "Well, in many ways, yes." It's my turn to scoff now, but mine was a lot more clearer, not wanting to hide away how I feel about his choice of words. "Hm.. Interesting. Especially how you are the only person who has brought any negativity on our relationship." I make it very clear, since the only negativity we have had is a few internet trolls and Lizzie's Dad. But he has no idea about that and never will. "Well I care very much about Lizzie. And-" I instantly snap at those words, lifting up my hand flat infront of him to stop him from going any further. That is not a path we are going down tonight, or any other night for that matter. "I'm going to stop you right there Tom. If you cared about her, you would be happy seeing her happy. Regardless of who it is she has chose to be with. Celebrity or not. Man or Women. And you wouldn't be discussing her private life in a setting like this one behind her back with others who are not involved in her life." I let my feelings out so he knows exactly how I feel about what has been said tonight. He seems to take in every word, but his demenour changes when people get a little closer. "I think you should calm down Soldier.." I can't help but laugh at his sudden change in demenour. "My name is Harley, not Soldier. And I am extremely calm right now." I quickly add, seeing his scanning the room around us for potential witnesses. So that's how he wants to play this. Great. "My apologies Harley. I just don't want her to be unhappy." He changes the subject back, seeing no one is interested in our conversation so he can't get the reaction he wants from anyone else. "And I can assure you, I will never let her be unhappy. I will do anything to make that girl smile. She will never get hurt with me.." I say with every bit of confidence behind my words.

"Then I shall not discuss the two of you again." He seems to want a quick exit. That is fine by me. "Thank you. Now, I should be getting back to my table. Enjoy your evening Mr Hiddleston." I add, wanting to end this the way my Dad always taught me too. "You as well Miss Lane." He replies and I can't help but get the last word in, something else my Dad taught me. "That is Captain Lane to you Mr Hiddleston." And with that, I nod my head and turn to walk towards the bar. Needing something strong to calm my growing heartbeat. I keep walking until I spot Holland and Chris standing waiting to get some drinks at the bar. Instantly I let out a breath and make my way towards them. I don't have the chance to say a word before Tom rushes to me, seeing the state I am in. As soon as he reaches me, he stops me and puts his hands on my shoulders. "Harley? What's wrong?" He asks panicked, making me smile softly at how well he knows me. "Get me a drink and I'll tell you." I smile as he relaxes slightly and puts his arm around my shoulders and guides me over to where Chris is. "Evans, drink yet?" I joke making him laugh as Tom orders some drinks before I stand and tell them what just happened. Instantly Chris stands up to find Tom but I quickly stop him, calming him down. "Thank you for the support, but it's done. I made sure of it." I tell him and he seems to relax at my words. "You did the right thing mate, dealing with it here and now like that. He had no right saying it in the first place but you dealt with it right." Tom adds and I smile as Chris nods and smiles in agreement. "Thanks, I just hope he leaves it be now." I add and they both nod in agreement. "I'm sure we can make some arrangements if he doesn't." Chris half jokes, making me laugh as we clink out shot glasses together before downing them in one. We do another two each before grabbing the tray of drinks Chris ordered, along with some bottles of beer and make our way towards the growing table where Lizzie, Scarlett and Brie are still holding down the fort. My eyes finding hers as we get closer, seeing her worried gaze as she searches me up and down to make sure I am okay.

As soon as I put the drinks down on the table, I keep a beer in my hand and make my way towards Lizzie across the other side of the table standing between Scarlett and Paul. I wrap my free arm around her waist, pulling her close as she melts into my side, her free hand finding my stomach as she unbuttons my suit jacket. I leave a long kiss against her temple, letting everyone settle into their conversations before I feel Lizzie slowly look up and find my eyes so easily, a questioning look behind her eyes as she waits for me to explain where I have been. I lean down subtly so only she can hear me, whispering near her ear. "I'll explain everything later, but I promise you that it is dealt with and won't happen again. Nothing to worry about. Tonight is your night and nothing is ruining it." I assure her and it seems to help her relax as she nods her head softly before looking back up into my eyes with a softer gaze behind them. Are you sure your okay?" She asks, lifting her hand over my chest to listen to my heart. I know it's still pounding, but it is starting to calm down slowly. "I am now." I tell her softly, seeing her relax a little more before her hand settles back on my stomach as she smiles sweetly, her head laying on my chest as we both join in the conversation around the table. I jump a little when I find Tom by my side all of a sudden, making everyone laugh as he beams back me before resting his head down my shoulder, almost mirroring Lizzie's position. Instantly Scarlett takes out her phone to start taking pictures, seeing that Tom is well on his way to being drunken Holland as everyone else just laughs. Well, tonight is going to be fun. I can't help but laugh as Tom suddenly wakes himself up and begins to ramble about anything and everything with Chris as I feel Lizzie completely relax beside me, her laughter growing more and more as the night goes on. Seeing her so care free and having fun with everything is something I always want for her. And if that means just being here with her, then that's where I will be. She deserves every bit of happiness this World can offer her. Even if that meant watching her be happy with someone else, I would do it. But right now, and for as long as she wants me to be. I will be by her side, making her smile and keeping her safe until the day she tells me to leave. If that day ever comes..

I hope I get to spend the rest of my days by her side, seeing her smile and hearing her laugh.. I'd die a happy girl if I was lucky enough to have that privilege.
