~~Monday Morning, L.A.~~
Lizzie POV
"Argh fuck!"
I quickly jump out of bed, rushing around to find where Harley is. The sound of her voice instantly waking me up with a freight, but luckily my body jumps into action as I rush around the bottom of the bed and find her on the floor rubbing the side of her head as she tries to sit up. "Take your time baby.." I whisper, not wanting to startle her as I kneel down at her legs and watch her closely as she finds my gentle gaze and smiles softly back at me. "I know, I'm okay.." She tells me as I lean forward and help her sit up carefully, subtly checking her body for any injuries. "I just hit my head on the way down.. I'm good." Harley catches me looking, making me smile softly and nod my head as I help her back up to sit at the edge of the bed, her tired eyes looking back into my own. I hate seeing her like this, but ever since my Birthday BBQ, she has been getting her nightmares again after the confrontation with my Dad. So for the past two nights, she has barely slept properly. Thankfully, Mom managed to help keep her mind occupied whilst we stayed for dinner so she had Harley helping her with the food as I spent some time with my Sisters when they came over for a few hours before they go back to New York for work today. "Do you want some water?" I ask Harley as she lays back on the bed, her tiredness taking over her body. "Please.." she whispers with her eyes closed. I lean over, leaving a kiss on her forehead before heading for the kitchen to get a bottle of water to bring back into the bedroom. Once I make sure Harley has some water, I leave her to lay in bed after making sure her head is okay and decide to go get ready and then make breakfast for us both. In the back of my head, I know Harley is leaving today and it is killing me since I can't go with her yet, but I know when she is at home she has her Dad and Maisie to take care of her. I make a mental note to text Stuart to let him know her nightmares are pretty bad again so he can check in with her whilst I can't as I walk into the kitchen to get started on breakfast as Harley tries to get a little more sleep before her flight later.
Yesterday was the perfect way to end my Birthday weekend with Harley, my Mom and the Twins. We had a lovely dinner and just spent some quality time together. Seeing Harley with them all if like she has known them forever. And seeing how much they love her means so much to me. The Twins loved hearing Harley call Mom, Mom. No one I have ever been with has had that privilege except for Harley, so I know my Mom more than accepts her into the family. I just wish my Dad could do the same. I get pulled from my thoughts as I feel a pair of very familiar arms sneak under and around my waist, holding me the way I have always wanted to be held by someone who loves me unconditionally. I instantly melt back into her body as I feel her strong, calming heartbeat in her chest as my hands find hers over my stomach. We stay comfortably silent as we share a moment before I feel Harley's lips on the side of my neck, delicately leaving small kisses from the bottom of my neck, up to my ear and then back down again. My head leans to the side, giving her more access without hesitation. Nothing heated between us, just adoring and loving in every way. "I'm sorry for waking you again.." She mumbles into my shoulder, making me frown slightly as I carefully turn around in her arms to look up at her tired, glossy eyes. "You have nothing to apologise for Harley, you can't help your nightmares baby." I whisper into the small space between us, making sure she listens to every word. "I want to be there to help you. Day or night." I add and she nods along with my words softly before I lean up and kiss her lips. "Do you want some breakfast?" I ask, making her smile a little in reply. "Please.." She whispers, leaning down to capture my lips with hers, kissing me so tenderly before we eventually pull apart so I can finish making breakfast as Harley makes some coffee for us both. We both bring everything to the table and sit together, enjoying the food and coffee as well as sharing small touches between each other. Needing to be close for as long as we can before being apart again.
"How are you feeling?" I ask gently as we both seem to be finished our food. Harley sighs as she leans one arm on the table and turns her head to face me fully as she holds it up with her hand. "Not great.. The lack of sleep doesn't usually effect me so much but this time around it's draining." She returns, making my smile falter hearing how much it is effecting her as I reach for her free hand to pull onto my lap. "I just hope they settle down over the next couple of days so I can catch up on my sleep back home." She adds and I nod my head softly in reply. "You know you can ring me whenever you need too, I don't care if I am working, I'll answer or ring you back as soon as I can." I make sure to tell her, making her smile again as she nods her head in agreement. "I know, and I will baby." She tells me in reply, making me feel a little better. "Do you have everything packed?" I check and she nods her head in reply. "All done." She adds and I smile in reply. "Hopefully I will get done on time so I can be with you in London in about 10 days." I think aloud as I play with the rings on Harley's fingers. As much as I want to be going with her today, I have more scenes to shoot in L.A. "I can't wait. But don't over-work yourself just to get to London with me. I'll be there for whenever you get there. As much as I will miss you, there is no rush. I'm not going anywhere." She assures me, and I smile at her thoughtful words. She always knows exactly what I need to hear to make me smile again. "The Army can wait, I want more time with you." I tell her softly, letting her pull me up out of my seat and into her lap. "You've got me baby. I'm right here with you." She whispers as I rest my forehead against hers, my hands on the back of her neck scratching lightly at her sensitive skin. "Are you worried about going on Tour again?" I ask softly, feeling her hands grip at my waist slightly in reply to my words as I lean back a little to search her eyes. "A little.. But only because now I have someone who I miss beyond words can explain. And I know if something happens to me, there are so many more people it will effect.." She rambles but I can't hear anything more and lift my thumb up to stop her talking, pressing my thumb against her lips gently as I shake my head. "Please don't.. I can't let myself think about that happening to you." I whisper, feeling my eyes gloss over as my heart clenches in my chest.
"I'm sorry baby." Harley whispers, pulling me into her more as she wraps her arms around me tightly. I melt into her body, listening to her heartbeat for what feels like hours that go by. But eventually, I pull away and look up at the time, seeing that we should be getting ready to go to the airport. "Come on Soldier, let's go get ready." I whisper before leaving a kiss against Harley's lips. We slowly get up from the table and tidy everything away together before heading for the bedroom to get ready. Harley slips into some comfy jeans and a hoodie to travel in, looking good as always as I get into some jeans and a long jumper for the drive. I help Harley check she has everything in her bags before we carry them out to the car ready to leave soon. We both come back in, I grab my bag and keys as Harley gets a bottle of water and slips on her trainers before helping me to lock up the house. "Ready to go?" She checks, but I just shake my head, not wanting to leave knowing where we are going. Harley pulls me into a cuddle, comforting me as I just soak up everything about her for a moment. "You'll be with me in London before you know it baby.. I promise." Harley's soothing words help me a little as I lean up, pulling her down into my lips. Harley grabs my hips, pulling me close and almost taking my breath away with the way she kisses me. I grip at the front of her hoodie, keeping myself from turning to jelly as Harley takes complete control of the kiss. Then before I know it, feel her hands leave my hips and move down to my legs, lifting my body in one easy movement. I instinctively wrap my legs around her hips as my arms lift up to her shoulders. Our lips never break apart as Harley has both her hands holding me up by the backs of my thighs, her grip sending shivers up my body as she walks a couple of steps towards the wall behind the front door. Pressing my back up against it with a gentle thud, her body pressing into my own. One of her hands travel up my body, finding my waist underneath my jumper as her fingers grip at my bare skin. Her other hand soon doing the same on my other side as her body holds me up against the wall with ease. All whilst kissing me like it is our first kiss all over again..
"I love you Elizabeth Chase.." Harley whispers against my lips breathlessly from the earth-shattering kiss. I giggle as I see her eyes flickering between my own. "I love you too Soldier." I whisper in reply in my own breathless state, making her chuckle lightly as our foreheads press up against one another's. "Your one hell of a kisser Harley Lane!" I huff out, my body still up against the wall. As much as I would normally find this a huge turn on, right now, it feels jut right being here kissing her. "Your not too bad yourself Olsen." she teases back, making me laugh as I push her shoulder playfully. "Rude." I huff, making her laugh and shake her head before kissing away my pout easily. "Your going to miss you flight if we stay here." I whisper, the thought being tempting to keep her with me that little while longer. "I know.. As tempting as it is, Maisie would never forgive me." She whispers in reply, making me smile at how much she adores her Sister. "Let's get you to the Airport then Soldier." I say in reply, not wanting to upset Maisie by keeping her Sister captive. Harley kisses me one more time before gently lowering me back to my feet so I can fix my jumper so we can get going. I lock up behind me as Harley heads for the car. I quickly follow her and get into the drivers side, knowing Harley is far too tired to drive today. We buckle up and I let her take over the music with her phone as I drive us from my house and begin to the journey to the airport. Thankfully, there is not a huge amount of traffic on the roads so we get to the airport in good time. I park us a little bit away from the entrance, already seeing a few cameras near the front doors. As soon as I shut off the engine, Harley reaches for my hand to pull my attention towards her and not the paparazzi we have to face. "You don't have to come inside with me baby.." She begins but I quickly shake my head in reply. "I want too see you off inside Harley." I say confidently, making her smile as she leans over to kiss me before she gets out first to get her bags as I put on my hat and sunglasses. Harley opens my door for me and reaches for my hand as I climb out the car, locking it behind me before we make our way inside together.
It must be our lucky day today as we make it past the cameras without them seeing either of us. I catch Harley laughing as we make it inside and towards the check in. I join her before I let Harley go forward to check in her bags. I watch her smile and talk with the staff before she comes back to where I standing a little out of the way so we can say goodbye. Her eyes instantly finding my already glossy ones as I watch her hold out her hands for me to find, instantly pulling her close as I melt into her arms. "I hate this part.." I mumble into her chest, feeling her nod her head in agreement. "Concentrate on work, and then you'll be flying to London in no time." She whispers in reply before I slowly pull away to look into her mesmerizing eyes staring back at me. "I can't wait." I say teary eyed before we share another long, delicate kiss. "You know the drill, take care of yourself and stay safe." Harley tells me sternly, making me giggle as I nod my head in reply. "I will Soldier. And your not aloud to go anywhere yet!" I return, making her chuckle and salute playfully. "At ease Soldier, your free to go." I tease her, making her burst out laughing as she pulls me into her arms, lifting me into the air cuddling me close. I laugh with her, wrapping my arms and legs around her. She spins me around, making my laughter only grow as I tuck my head into her neck, not caring who sees us right now as I just relish in her laughter. When I am back on my feet, I feel my tears coming so I pull Harley down into my lips before looking to see she has to get going. "Be safe Soldier. I love you so much." I tell her softly, making her smile and nod gently in reply. "I love you Elizabeth Chase." She says with that strong, confident tone before squeezing my hand in hers once more and then turning to walk to her gate. I watch her every move as she walks away, blinking away the tears threatening to fall. When she about to walk out of sight, she turns back to search for me. I quickly smile and blow her a kiss, which she catches in her hand and dramatically pushes into her chest, making me burst into fits of laughter before she waves and walks around the corner and out of my eyeline.
I slowly make my way out of the Airport, feeling a void beside me instantly without Harley being here. As soon as I walk out of the doors, a few cameras come into view at a respectful distance for a change. I keep walking until one voice catches me attention from a few feet away. "Miss Olsen? Is Harley going back on Tour when she gets to London?" They ask, and I turn to face whoever it is. I see a young man with a camera around his neck and a voice recorder in his hand. I decide to give him an answer, seeing as he didn't come rushing to get in my face with questions like most of these paparazzi do. "No, she is not duty right now. She is just going home to see her family." I reply softly, making him smile and nod appreciatively. "Are you going to visit her at all?" He asks, only now do I catch the British accent. No wonder I felt at ease with him. "As soon as I am finished with work I will be, yes. I can't wait to get back to London again." I reply easily, making him just smile and nod his head. "Thank you Miss Olsen. It is nice to see you so happy with someone who clearly worships you the way you deserve to be. Harley seems amazing." He gushes a little and I can't but smile in reply. "Thank you very much, that is very kind of you..?" I say, hoping for a name. "George Miss." He tells me and I nod my head in reply. "It's been very nice talking with you George. Have a nice day." I say as I begin to head back to my car. "You too Miss Olsen, drive safe." He returns and I make my way back to my car. It's nice to meet kind souls like that rather than the vultures that I usually do. Once I am back at my car, I let out a sigh as I take off my hat and sunglasses, placing them on the back seat before buckling up and starting my drive home. The car feeling so empty without Harley here. I look back at the Airport as I drive out of the car park, part of me wishing I could just turn around and get on that plane with her. But she is right, it won't be long until I am flying to London to be with her again. Even though that niggling fear that she is called away when we are apart keeps sneaking up on me, I try and think about being together again. I love being with her in London with Harley and her family. It's like a breath of fresh air away from the stresses of L.A. And being with my Soldier makes it close to perfect..
~~Monday Night, London~~
Normal POV
The flight to London was probably one of the longest I have been on. After not getting any decent sleep for the past couple of days, my body was running on auto pilot. I could barely focus on a film to watch between doing in and out of sleep. But eventually, the plane landed in London and I was one of the first out of my seat, grabbing my bags and then making my way out to hopefully find my Dad waiting for me. "HARLEY!" I get caught off guard by Maisie's voice shouting through the Airport before spotting her running in my direction. I quickly drop my bags ready to catch her as she rushes to get to me and launches herself into my arms. I hug my arms around her and she quickly does the same, burying her head into my shoulder. "I missed you Sis." Maisie mumbles into my shoulder as I just hold her in my arms. "I missed you too Maize." I quickly reply before feeling a hand on my shoulder. I look up and see Dad smiling at us both. "Good to see you Kiddo." He greets me as he kisses my head before he grabs my bags for me and we slowly start exiting the Airport, Maisie staying in my arms as I just carry her out with Dad beside me. We get to Dad's car and eventually Maisie lets go and drops back to her feet to get in the car as I help Dad get my bags in the boot before he finally gets the chance for a hug. "You look tired Harley." Dad whispers between just us, and I just nod my head against his shoulder. "I am. I'll explain later.." I mumble in reply, and I feel him nod his head before we both get in the car so we can go home. Maisie fills the entire drive home catching me up on anything I have missed over texts and phone calls, only taking a break to tell Dad what she wants to eat whilst we pick something up on the way home. I just wish I wasn't so tired right now. When we get home, Maisie takes the food inside as I help Dad grab my bags from the car. As soon as Maisie is inside, Dad stops my movements gently, making me look back at his worried gaze already on me. "Nightmares?" He asks softly, and I instantly nod my head in reply. "Come on, we can talk inside." He adds and I smile gratefully, following behind him as we carry a bag each inside.
"Did Lizzie really like her birthday presents?" Maisie asks as we are sitting at the kitchen table eating dinner. Her eyes are so bright as she carries on her relentless conversation. I've missed this. "Of course she did. She rang you, didn't she?" I joke, making Dad laugh across the table. "She did, but she could have just being nice." Maisie shoots back, making me chuckle and shake my head. "She loved her presents Maisie, I promise you." I reassure her, making her smile quickly return. "Did she love her jacket?" I catch my breath as my chest tightens at the thought of her jacket, and what it caused on Saturday. I glance over and see Dad watching me closely, obviously noticing my reaction but I quickly shake it off so Maisie doesn't think anything of it. "She uh- She loved it yeah, she wore it all day to show off at her BBQ." I tell Maisie through my constricting chest. She quickly starts to ask about the BBQ, so I have to force down my thoughts and try to paint on a smile as I tell Maisie the good points from Saturday rather than what is spiralling through my mind right now. I know Dad can see I'm struggling, and soon enough he find an excuse to help me out. "Maisie, why don't you go get ready for bed whilst I clean up then we can watch a quick film before bed hm? You have School still tomorrow remember." Dad tells her, and even though she has a little pout, she agrees and heads upstairs to get ready for bed, giving me time to breathe as Dad starts to clear the table. I help Dad clean up, and we stay pretty quiet before he turns to make some tea when we are finished as I stay standing with him at the counter top. "So what happened at the BBQ?" He asks, being able to read me like an open book. I let out a sigh, knowing he won't like what I am about to say, but there is no use hiding this from him. "The leather jacket I bought for Lizzie.. It didn't go down well with some of the guests." I start, Dad giving me a confused look as I build up to telling him the full story. "Lizzie's Dad came to the BBQ with her Step Brother and Sister.." I add and he quickly frowns at the thought of David being there after what happened on Boxing Day.
"He did WHAT!?" Dad shouts a little louder than what I was expecting him too, making me flinch a little before he stops to take a breath. "Sorry Harley.. I just, all because of a leather Bike jacket?" He questions, but knowing full well that it was just an excuse. "Come on Dad, we both know that the whole Motorbike thing was just an excuse for him to have another go at me." I add and Dad nods his head knowingly in agreement. "Makes me want to fly to L.A myself to knock some sense into him.." He mumbles, but I obviously hear every word. "Dad, I can handle him. It's Lizzie I worry about.." I admit and he sighs as we sit back at the kitchen table with our warm cups of tea in hand. "I know Kiddo. Truthfully, I can't see her leaving you because of it. She's stronger than she realises, and she adores you Harley. I can't see her losing that because of her Dad's reservations about you that are based on old-age prejudges." Dad comforts me, and it works. He always knows what to say, and hearing even him say that he thinks we will be okay is helping me to relax. "Just try and be patient with him, I know it's not easy, but he will see how wrong he is about you when you and Lizzie are still going strong 10 years down the line. Living a happy and healthy life together without him being a part of it. He will kick himself for losing out on it.." Dad adds and I can't help but tear up a little hearing something like that from him. "Thanks Dad.. I needed that." I quickly smile over at him, seeing his genuine, comforting smile in return. "That's what I'm here for Kiddo. Now, why don't you go get into something comfortable so we can watch this film then you can get some sleep?" He suggests and I smile and nod my head. "Good idea." I take my cup of tea up to my room, instantly feeling more relaxed being home as I search for a change of clothes, being too tired for a shower right now. I get changed and then head back down, already seeing Dad and Maisie waiting for me. I join Maisie on the sofa, sitting down so she can quickly cuddle into me as Dad finds something to watch. "I'm glad your back Harley, as much as I love seeing you and Lizzie spending quality time together, I miss you being home." I smile and kiss Maisie's head, missing her more than she will ever know when I am not at home. "I missed you too Maisie."
"Alright you two, come on time for bed." Dad tells us both as he shuts off the TV. I fight off a yawn as I let Maisie climb off the sofa first before lazily following her. "I'll see you both in the morning, get some sleep, both of you." Dad adds and I smile at his stern look in my direction. "Goodnight Dad." We both say in unison, making Dad laugh as he hugs Maisie first before pulling me into a tight embrace. "If you need me, come get me." He whispers so Maisie doesn't hear before kissing my head and letting me go with Maisie up to bed. "Goodnight Maisie, I'll see you in the morning before School." I assure her, hugging her tight outside my bedroom door. "See you in the morning Sis. Love you." She replies easily as we pull away. "Love you too Maize." I add as she skips off the bed. I chuckle to myself watching her before letting myself back into my room, going to brush my teeth before collapsing onto my bed. My body is beyond exhausted right now. I climb under the blanket before grabbing my phone and checking my messages. I open my last message from Lizzie, letting me know she is home from her short day at work so I decide to just ring her instead of trying to write out a message in reply. I turn on my TV as I wait for her to answer, finding something to watch before I hear Lizzie's excited voice answer the phone, making me chuckle as I roll onto my side to rest the phone on my pillows as I admire her bright smile down the phone. "Hey you.." I reply, making her blush a little down the phone. "You look so tired Harley.." She replies with a slight frown seeing my obvious dark circles around my eyes. "I feel it.." I mumble in return, making her pout. "Go and get some sleep baby. Hopefully being back home will help you relax.." She adds and I nod my head lazily in agreement. "I miss you.." She smiles again hearing those words, making my own smile grow seeing her bright eyes searching my own. "I miss you so much Soldier.. It's not the same her without you." My heart is racing at her genuine words, making me feel bad for having to come home so soon. "I can't wait to pick you up from the Airport." I add and she beams back in reply before we fall into conversation about how Lizzie's day has been on Set.
"Please go and sleep Harley.." Lizzie tells me for the tenth time, but this time I give in and nod my head in reply. "Text me when you wake up tomorrow." I say lazily, making her giggle and nod her head. "I will. I love you My Soldier." My heart leaps out of my chest at those words, making my smile return so easily. "I love you so much Elizabeth Chase." I reply easily, making her cheeks tint a deep red. "Goodnight Harley." She tells me as her eyes sparkle down the phone. "Sweet dreams My Girl." We come off the phone and instantly my eyes begin to fall heavy. I roll over, plugging my phone onto charge before turning off my lamp and rolling back to watch the film playing on the TV. Luckily for me, it's Captain America Civil War. One of my favourites. I settle back into my pillows, watching as the Avengers are all sitting around discussing the Sokovia Accords. As soon as the camera pans across to Wanda, my smile grows hearing that accent she is so well known for now. She really does own this Character, I can't imagine anyone else being able to play Wanda the way Lizzie does. The same was as Scarlett was born to play Black Widow, and RDJ is just Tony Stark in everyday life. I carry on watching in awe as the film continues, getting lost in watching the small details. When it comes to the fight scene at the Airport, my eyes are so focused on Lizzie as she runs the show. "Your were pulling your punches.." Fuck my life that accent. Maybe I should piss her off and see if she uses it on me? No, bad idea. That head tilt is terrifying! I can't help but laugh to myself as I watch Black Widow, remembering how much of a crush I had on her from first seeing her in Iron Man 2, and now I actually know her, it feels a little weird. Would I still melt into a puddle if I was to see Scarlett in her Black Widow Suit... Yes. Is that weird now... A little. Would I be scared of Lizzie afterwards... Absolutely! I snap myself from my thoughts as I watch Iron Man take on Cap and Bucky, my eyes falling heavier and heavier until I start to feel my body succumb to sleep. My thoughts now swirling with hope that I actually manage to get some sleep tonight..
A knock at my bedroom door wakes me from my sleep, but as soon as my eyes open, my body instantly aches in everyway possible. I carefully look around, and notice that I am no longer in bed. Great. But at least I got some sleep without waking up a million times during the night. I slowly lift my body off the floor of my bedroom as I hear another knock on my door. "Yeah?" I call out, cringing at my slightly growing headache. "You alright Kiddo? Breakfast is waiting downstairs with a fresh coffee." Dad tells me, and as good as that sounds, my body hates me for standing up right now. "I'll be right down Dad." I groan out as I force myself towards the bathroom to get washed up. I splash my face with some water before brushing my teeth, deciding on getting a shower after breakfast so I don't miss seeing Maisie. I grab a hoodie and throw it on since I am already in some joggers before getting Maisie's presents and make my way downstairs. As soon as I walk into the kitchen, I see a very excited Maisie sitting waiting for me at the table. And the smell of a McDonalds breakfast hits me instantly. "Morning Kiddo." Dad calls out seeing me walk into the kitchen before Maisie jumps out of her seat to greet me. "Good Morning!" She yells as she runs into me, nearly wiping me out. As soon as her arms wrap around my body, I feel a sharp pain in my back as soon as she makes contact. I grit my teeth so I don't let her know I am in pain as I wrap my free arm around her in return. "Good Morning Birthday Girl!" I say in reply, making her giggle excitedly as I leave a kiss on her head before she rushes back to the table. I follow behind her, placing her bags on top for her as Dad brings over my coffee for me. "You sleep okay?" He checks and I nod my head softly in reply before he sits back down and we turn our attention back to Maisie. "Well go ahead, open your presents!" Dad laughs as we both watch Maisie open her cards and presents. She opens Dad's first, then some from Emily. She gushes over every one before she soon moves to my bag. I grin as I see her open the card first. "It's strange seeing another name on your card Harley." She calls out, seeing that it is signed from me and Lizzie. "Good strange or bad one?" I tease, making her giggle as she shakes her head at me. "Good one, obviously."
I can't help the huge smile on my face as Maisie opens her presents, seeing the clothes that Lizzie managed to get from MK and Ashley at The Row. Some of them aren't even released yet apparently, but the Twins were more than happy to let us buy them early for Maisie. As much as they didn't want us to pay, we still did. She then moves to the second bag, her head tilting in confusion as she sees more cards for her. "NO WAY!" Maisie screams in excitement as she opens one of the cards, seeing the names signed on the bottom. "Come on, share Maisie." Dad asks, making me smile as he gives me a slightly confused look across the table. "THE OLSEN TWINS SENT ME A BIRTHDAY CARD!" Maisie shouts excitedly over at Dad, making us both laugh at her. She is adorable. She opens the other card and sees it is from Jarnie, and she tears up a little before she moves to the presents. MK and Ashley sent her some more clothes and a beautiful necklace to go with the clothes. Jarnie bought her a bracelet to match her necklace, as well as some little things she adores already. Once she is finished, she rushes to both me and Dad, hugging us and thanking us both for everything before she goes back to pack everything away so we can have breakfast. Of course she would choose a McDonalds for her breakfast. We all dig in as Maisie starts to talk about the plans for today. "What time can I ring Lizzie, Harley?" She asks and it takes me more time than usual to work it out off the top of my head. "By the time you finish School and get home, you should be able to catch her before she goes to work." I finally come to a conclusion, not knowing an exact time just yet. "Yay! Okay.. Do you have her Mam's number? And her Sisters so I can send them a message off your phone to say thank you?" She is so sweet this kid I swear. "Of course I do. We'll do it later after talking to Lizzie yeah?" She nods her head excitedly, her mouth full of hash brown making me burst out laughing at her before we talk about our dinner plans with Emily when she finishes work.
After we all finish breakfast, Dad and Maisie head out for the day and instantly my body is already drained but I decide on powering through for the rest of the morning to at least get something done. Dad left me to get a cake for later, so I head upstairs for a shower before getting ready to head out to pick up a cake that he already ordered, as well as getting my hair cut and picking up some shopping for the house. Thankfully, I get everything done and get back home within a couple of hours so once everything is put away in the kitchen, I head upstairs for another shower to get the hairs off my body from my trip to the barbers before my body screams at me to get some more sleep. I quickly give in and have a 3 hour nap to try and catch up on what I have missed before hearing Dad and Maisie come home. I slowly get myself back out of bed and join them in the kitchen, seeing it is already past 4 o'clock. "Hey Kiddo, good nap?" Dad teases, obviously noticing my sleepy state as Maisie comes for a cuddle. "Don't be mean, I needed it." I shoot back, making him chuckle as he makes some drinks for us all. "He's only jealous." Maisie whispers, making me laugh as I kiss her head before we sit at the kitchen table. Not long after Dad handed me a coffee, I got a message from Lizzie so I quickly replied to let her know Maisie is excitedly waiting to speak with her. Maisie then gets talking about her day at School, telling us what her friends bought her before we are interupted by my phone ringing. I quickly check it is Lizzie before handing the phone to Maisie to answer it. "I think this is for you Birthday Girl." She practically squeals in excitement before answering it, holding up my phone up since it is video call. "HEY BIRTHDAY GIRL!" I can't contain my smile hearing Lizzie's angelic morning voice on the phone, instantly seeing Maisie over-joyed seeing her. They get lost talking about all her presents as she thanks Lizzie over and over again. I catch Dad's beaming smile as he watches with me, seeing how happy Maisie is just getting the chance to talk with Lizzie on her special day. I know Lizzie is gutted she couldn't make it, I know her making the effort like this with Maisie is more than enough for her, as well as all the presents she bought for her.
"Hey baby!" Lizzie says when Maisie comes to stand next to me, holding the phone so we are both on camera now. "Hey you." I quickly reply, making her beam back at me. "Missing me yet?" She teases, making Maisie giggle beside me. "Of course I am." I quickly return, making her cheeks blush slightly before Dad appears to my other side to get into the frame. "HI STUART!" Lizzie says excitedly, seeing us all on screen. "Hey Lizzie!" Dad calls back, making her smile impossibly wider. "I miss all of you so much! I can't wait to get to London and give you all a big squeeze!" Lizzie pretty much yells down the phone as she eats her breakfast, making us all laugh since it is practically dinner time here. "We miss you too Lizzie! We can't wait to see you in person." Dad replies easily, making us both smile as my eyes are fixated on my beautiful girlfriend. Wishing she was here right now. We all fall into easy conversation on the phone, Maisie telling Lizzie about our dinner plans tonight with Emily as Lizzie takes us with her to get ready, obviously only doing her hair and make-up on camera. "Oh, and Harley is going to let me text your Mam and Sisters to say thank you." Maisie gushes and Lizzie instantly beams back down the screen at her words. "They will love that. But if you want to ring Mom, I'm sure she will answer. I can't say the say for MK and Ashley since they are in New York working.. But Mom deffinently will." Lizzie tells Maisie, who beams at the idea. I nod my head as she looks to me for approval. "We'll ring her before we go to dinner. Then we can send a video message to the Twins to watch when they get a break at work." I add and Maisie jumps up and down with so much excitement. "Your adorable Maisie.." Lizzie gushes before she brings us back into the kitchen with her before we let her go to finish getting ready so she isn't late for work. "I'm going to get ready for dinner then we can ring Jarnie okay?!" Maisie rambles as she leaves the kitchen, not giving me chance to reply before she disappears making me just laugh at her instead. "That Kid has far too much energy." I sigh as Dad just laughs and nods his head in agreement. "That she does." We take a quiet breather together before we both head off to get ready for dinner with Emily. Wanting Maisie to have the best day for her Birthday.
Happy Birthday Maisie Lane..
