A/N ~~ Another time skip, about a Month from Maisie's Birthday.. (which makes it the 12th April for those keeping track hahah)
~~Friday Afternoon, London~~
Normal POV
This past Month being in London has been pretty relaxed. After Maisie's birthday, Lizzie ended up having to stay in L.A for near enough two weeks with work. But as soon as she was done, she was on a flight the following day to come to London. Dad and Maisie came with me to the Airport to pick her up, which was enough to put a huge smile back on her face as soon as she seen us all. Then apart from a few meetings and interviews on her laptop, Lizzie was free to just relax and enjoy her time in London. Of course she wanted to spend as much time as possible with my Dad and Maisie, as well as making sure to see Emily when she wasn't working, but in between all that we managed to go for lunch with Paul Bettany whilst he was in London and a met with Aubrey for coffee whilst she was here for work. Having Lizzie here for the last two weeks has made me realise I need to start thinking about getting my own place in London. As much as I love being at home with Dad and Maisie, and how easier it is when I am away on Tour, I think it would be nice to have my own place to spend time with Lizzie in whilst she is here like we can in L.A. I talked with Dad about the idea, and he quickly agreed with me, knowing that what I have with Lizzie is serious and having my own space will be good for me now she is in my life. We talked about what would be best considering London is over-priced, so the idea of paying for a house myself is a little scary. But when we looked into some of the apartments nearby Dad's house, it became more of a reality. It felt weird looking at apartments again, considering the last time I was doing this was just before I met Lizzie, and suddenly it became the last thing on my mind. I know Maisie is going to hate me moving out, I know she will understand completely and support my decision as long as I don't move too far away from Dad's place. I found a few options that I could afford, saving the information before I make any concrete decisions. Wanting to talk to Lizzie about the idea to see what she thinks before jumping into anything head first.
"What are you thinking of getting baby?" Lizzie snaps me from my trance as I snap my head back to look over the menu in my hand, seeing her grinning across the table at me. "The Burgers look good." I quickly glance over the menu, seeing the pretty decent looking burgers sticking out of the page amongst everything else. "They do.. Which one you thinking?" She asks further and I smile to myself as I read over each option before coming to a decision. "Cheese and Bacon Burger sounds good.." I feel my belly rumble at the sound it is as Lizzie giggles over at me before a Waiter comes to take our order. Once we are done, he takes the menus and goes to collect some drinks for us. My eyes quickly find Lizzie across the table, seeing her shy smile as she reaches over for my hands. "What were you thinking about Soldier?" She asks softly, obviously knowing I was stuck in my head just before. "I've been thinking about getting my own place and moving out of my Dad's house." I blurt out, not thinking too much about it. I catch her eyes widen slightly in surprise before she seems to shake it off and starts playing with the rings on my fingers. "Have you found somewhere?" She questions, a look in her eyes I can't quite put my finger on right now. "I've seen a couple of apartments that I can afford on my Salary, a house in London is not something I can afford right now. Especially on my own." I add and her eyes seem to light up at a glance before she blinks it away. "Are you thinking of doing it soon?" She asks after our drinks are put on the table for us and we thank the waiter. "I'm not sure really.. I thought about maybe having a look at some that are going to be available soon but I'm not in any rush right now." I explain and she nods her head softly in reply as she seems to be deep in thought about something herself. "Hey, what's going on in that pretty little head of yours?" I asks softly, making her smile over at me again. "I don't know really.. I mean, it might sound crazy but I thought maybe when you move out of your Dad's house, we would be looking for somewhere together? But it's way too soon for that, right?" She rambles adorably, making me laugh lightly at the growing tint on her cheeks as she realises what she just said.
"Baby, it's not crazy. We pretty much live together between different Countries, when I am not on Tour anyways. And I have thought about you in this decision, which is why I haven't booked anything yet. I wanted your opinion." It's my turn to ramble now. I catch Lizzie's smile growing at my words, making me chuckle a little nervously. "We've been together officially for 7 Months now.. Is that too soon to move in together?" She asks out loud, making me laugh at her thought process. She is cute. "If it's the right person? I don't think so. But how would it work with your career if you moved to London?" I ask the obvious question, making her eyes widen as she realises that we don't live in the same Country. "I mean, I could make it work in London. The only thing I have on right now is Sorry For Your Loss, but it is not too far away from being finished. After that, I have nothing booked in yet. It would just be the same as now and me travelling to work in theory.. So moving to London wouldn't be too difficult for me." She rambles on and on, and I just smile and listen as she thinks everything through in her head. "It would be harder for you to move to L.A. considering your a British Soldier, so it would make sense for me to move.. But then I am pretty much based in L.A. right now so it would take a while to move and make sure I get set up with a PR team here in London as well as L.A.." She carries on, and I just find myself in awe at her professional side coming out. But then I catch a glimpse of worry behind her eyes and I quickly jump to stop her spiralling, knowing that's not what I want for her right now. "Baby.. Breathe. We don't have to make any type of decision right now. I can get myself an apartment close to Dad's place for right now and then we can make more certain plans when we are both ready, okay?" I try and calm her thoughts, and it seems to work as I see her smiling again as she squeezes my hands in hers, nodding her head softly as she relaxes. "Yeah, okay.. That sounds easier for now." She agrees and I smile at her rational head coming back just as we spot our food bring brought to the table. Perfect timing.
"So not to stress you out anymore, but what does your work schedule look like for the next couple of weeks?" I ask gently as we finish our food at pretty much the same time. "I just remember you mentioning needing to fly back to L.A." I add and she softly nods her head as our plates are taken away from the table. "I do. I have an interview booked for next week, as well as.." She glances around us to make sure there are no prying eyes or spying ears before she leans forwards a little. "The Endgame Premiere coming up." She whispers, and I can't help but playfully gasp in surprise, as if I had no idea that's what she was filming for when we first met. I dramatically hold my hand over my chest, making her narrow her gaze at me as I carry on my teasing. "I had no idea you played an Avenger Elizabeth Chase, you kept that a secret from me you little minx!" I catch her lips fighting to pull into a grin as she tries to keep her stern look in my direction. "Your an idiot Harley Lane." She calls me out, making me laugh as she still keeps her stern expression. "Oh My God! Your The Scarlet Witch aren't you.. I knew it. I knew you had magical powers and the ability to read my mind.. How could you not tell me! I feel betrayed.." I carry on my teasing, only this time, she breaks character and begins to giggle across the table. "Okay, okay, I get it. You can stop now." She whines playfully, pulling my hands back into hers on top of the table. Our laughter slowly dies down as we order some coffees to enjoy as we just soak up being alone together. "So is that in L.A.?" I ask a little more seriously now, knowing Lizzie likes to have a plan of action. "Yeah it is. So is my Interview next week." She confirms and I smile and nod my head in reply. "So your needed in L.A. For the next couple of weeks?" I question and she nods her head again. "When do you plan on flying out there?" I ask further and she quickly checks her phone to make sure. "Probably Sunday, my interview is on Tuesday." She adds and I nod my head in reply. I knew she needed to be thinking about going home soon, but that is really soon. We are interupted by our drinks arriving as I digest the information, wondering if she will want me going with her this time or not..
"Talk to me Harley.." Lizzie encourages and I sigh as I look up to meet her soft gaze. "Want to go for a walk before we head back?" I asks and she quickly nods her head softly at the idea. We quickly finish our drinks before Lizzie rushes to pay the bill before me annoyingly. We tease each other about it as we get our jackets and make our way outside, thanking the staff as we leave. I offer my arm for Lizzie when we get outside, which she quickly holds onto before we turn down towards the park not too far down the street from the restraunt. Thankfully it's quiet so we begin our walk down the path, Lizzie leaning into my side before I start up our conversation again from inside. "So what happens when you go back to L.A on Sunday?" I ask softly in a hushed tone, catching Lizzie's attention as she looks up at me. "That's up too you Harley, would you like to come with me again? Or would you rather stay home?" She replies quickly and I smile at her sweet tone. "I'd love to come with you if you want me too." I return to her, wanting to see what she wants to happen. "Of course I want you with me baby, that's a given. But I know you miss being with your Dad and Maisie so I don't want you to feel like you have to come with me." She adds and my heart is ready to burst with how considerate she always is with me and my little family. "I'm sure they will survive without me for a couple of weeks." I joke back, making her giggle. "I'm sure they will." She agrees and beams up at me again. "So your coming with me too L.A.?" She makes sure, and I quickly nod my head in reply. "Good! So, I have my interview on Tuesday with The Late, Late Show. Then I have a few meetings here and there before the Premiere on the 22nd." She tells me and I just chuckle at her more excited rambling. But then it hits me, am I going to the Premiere with her? She hasn't asked me yet.. "So who's your date to the Red Carpet then?" I ask when she finishes her rambling thoughts, making her stop suddenly to turn and look at me with a confused expression. "I thought that was obvious?" She quickly shoots back, making me only laugh more. She looks both adorable and a little scary right now.
"You haven't asked me yet..?" I tease and she instantly huffs at my words. "Seriously?" She replies and I try not to laugh at her slight head tilt. "Mhm.. You haven't asked so how am I supposed to know if it is me or not?" I tease a little more, making her shake her head, trying not to laugh as I cross my arms and watch her narrow hers eyes a little at me. "Your such an tease Harley, who else would I ask to go with me?" She sighs and I bite back my laughter. "You tell me Olsen.." I tease and she soon grins at my teasing tone. "Fine.." She huffs again before looking around to make sure we have no followers around and then she looks down at the floor confusing me a little until she looks back up and starts to kneel down infront of me to play along with my teasing. "Woah, woah! Don't you think it's too early for a Proposal, Elizabeth?" I playfully jump back in surprise as she is down on one knee, trying to one up my teasing. "You did not just full name me in public!?" She says dramatically as she looks up to where I am standing a little further away now with both my hands on my chest in a dramatic fashion. "I think I just did, yeah.." I say back with a little bit of Maisie's attitude laced into it. "Will you just let me ask you before I take it back all together!" She says playfully, trying to act frustrated but her laughter comes through more than what she wanted it too. "Fine, fine.. You were saying?" I give her my undivided attention as she clears her throat and gets back into character. "Will you, Harley Lane, please do me the exceptional honour and be my date to the Avengers Endgame Premiere?" She asks with an overly dramatic attempt at an English accent. I bite back my laughter, holding character as I hold one hand over my mouth in shock. "Oh my- I can't believe it! I thought you'd never ask me Elizabeth, I'm in shock I-" I ramble on and on, leaving her on one knee looking up at me trying not to laugh back at my dramatics. "Well don't leave me waiting!" She plays along, reaching for my free hand. "YES! Of course I will go with you" I finally give in, helping Lizzie off the floor before lifting her into the air, her legs wrapping around my waist as I spin us around, her laughter filling my ears making my smile impossibly bigger.
"Your such a goofball Harley!" She finally tells me as I stop spinning us around and hold her up in my arms. "Goofball? That's a new one." I tease, making her giggle before she leans forward, crashing her lips into my own. We share a few kisses before finally I let her back down onto her feet. "Come on, let's head back." I say as I let Lizzie take my arm again as we walk back towards the restraunt. When we get to the car park, I help her climb onto my Bike after making sure her helmet is on properly before climbing on myself and driving us back to Dad's house. It took everything in me to take my Bike out again with Lizzie after what was said at the BBQ, but Lizzie quickly assured me she didn't agree with what her Dad said, and loved being on my Bike with me. And seeing her in her matching leather jacket and helmet is beyond adorable. And a little hot.. We make it back before the traffic and head inside, finding the house empty still. "How about we get a shower, change into some comfy clothes and watch a movie before making dinner?" Lizzie suggests, and I smile at the idea. "Sounds good to me.." I reply easily before we head up to my room. I let Lizzie shower first before going in after her as she gets ready. Thankfully it is beginning to get a little warmer in London so it's not freezing anymore when we leave the house. I get ready into some joggers and a hoodie before we decide on watching a film in bed instead of downstairs so we get comfortable on my bed and I let Lizzie choose something to watch. She quickly decides on watching Tangled so we settle back in bed together, Lizzie lying back on my chest as I wrap my arms around her to keep her close as we doze in and out of sleep during the film. My sleep is getting better since Lizzie's Birthday, but it's not completely back to normal yet. Thankfully, having Lizzie here does help but some mornings she has found me on the floor again. I feel my eyes falling heavy as Lizzie is drawing patterns along my stomach under my hoodie with her delicate finger tips, but before I can fall into a light sleep, we are both startled awake by my phone ringing. "I hope this is important.." I mumble, making Lizzie giggle as I reach over and see it's Tom ringing me.
"Mr Holland.." I answer, making Lizzie giggle beside me since she wouldn't let me leave the room to answer the phone. "Captain Lane, how are we?" He replies just as sarcastically, making me laugh in reply. "Very well thank you, yourself?" I carry on as Lizzie snuggles into my side. "Great thank you. Are you still in London?" He checks and I smile in thought of why he is asking. "I am, until Sunday." I add. "Where are you going on Sunday? Please don't tell me-" I cut him off before he panics. "I'm flying to L.A with Lizzie." I quickly tell him, hearing him sigh in relief. "Don't do that to me Harley!" He complains, making me laugh. "My bad mate, sorry." I quickly reassure him, making Lizzie giggle again. "I'm guessing your both flying back for the Premiere?" He checks and I smile remembering he will most likely be there too. "Yeah, Lizzie has stuff to do leading up to it so we are flying back in time for all that to happen." I add and smile as I feel Lizzie nuzzle her head into my chest as she tugs my hoodie to get impossibly closer. "That actually works out since I am going to stay in L.A from next week after filming finishes." He gushes and I beam at the thought us being in the same place. "So once I get to L.A. I will ring you and we can make plans to meet up before the Premiere." He adds and I smile even more. "Sounds good to me mate. I'm guessing you'll be at the Premiere too right?" I check and feel Lizzie giggle beside me. "I will be. But don't tell anyone." He jokes, making me laugh in reply. "I have to get going, but I'll ring you once I am in L.A." Tom says excitedly. "Don't work too hard Holland, talk soon." We say our goodbyes and I come off the phone rolling onto my side to face Lizzie as she stays snuggled into my chest under my chin. "So I have to put with you and Tom together in L.A?" Lizzie mumbles into my chest, making me chuckle at her tone. "Yep. Lucky you.." I tease, making her giggle lightly as she tugs me into her impossibly closer as I wrap my arms around her. "I suppose it could be worse.." She adds playfully, making me laugh at her sleepy voice. "Should we have a nap before making dinner?" I suggest. Lizzie quickly nods her head in reply as I pull the small blanket over us both and fall into a light sleep with Lizzie in my arms.
~~Sunday Morning, London~~
Lizzie POV
After making our plans for he next couple of weeks, I quickly decided on making the most of the weekend in London with Harley, Maisie and Stuart since I am stealing Harley away again for two weeks. We all had a relaxed Friday night at home, cooking dinner with Maisie before settling in to watch some TV before getting a pretty early night so we wouldn't waste the day on Saturday. We gave Maisie the option on what we would do on Saturday, and she chose for us all to go play Mini-Golf after going out for Breakfast together. Stuart took the car and we chose somewhere nice for Breakfast before we made our way to where Maisie had heard about at School. It was different to any Mini-Golf I've been too before, I was full of Neon lights and graffiti on every wall. Deffinently something Maisie would choose. We got some Mocktails as we made our way around the course, Maisie entertaining all of us with how competitive she was getting against Harley. I hate how good Harley is at everything. There is nothing she can't do. Eventually, I got the idea of trying to distract Harley to help Maisie try and take the lead, and she quickly caught on to what I was doing and helped me along the way. Stuart was just so laid back, laughing at all our antics before we got to the end and totaled up our scores. Annoyingly, Harley still managed to win, with Maisie coming in a close second. I managed to draw with Stuart which I didn't mind at all. The two Sisters were still in a competitive mood so we went next door into the huge Arcades so they could blow off some steam and Maisie could try and redeem herself from the Golf Course. I tried to help Maisie out as much as I could to get her a win, but Harley wasn't easily distracted. We must have spent hours inside the Arcades since Emily soon joined us to watch the chaos before we all got hungry and eventually left to find somewhere to eat at. Once our belly's were full again, we took a walk around together to just enjoy the rest of the day before heading home to watch the Football. Thankfully, Emily and Maisie were quick to invite me into there Pamper night rather than watching the Game, so we all did some girly face masks and nail painting whilst Harley and Stuart watched the Game together with a couple of beers.
We spent all morning having breakfast together before myself and Harley had to make sure our bags were packed for our flight. As much as I love being in L.A, I hate leaving London behind. Being there with Harley is something I never expected to enjoy as much as I do. It's so peaceful and almost like a whole new World to what I am used to. And having Maisie and Stuart there and wanting to spend quality time with me is so special to me. How they just accepted me into their small family so easily is something I am so thankful for. Once we had everything packed and ready to go, Harley brought our bags downstairs before we joined Maisie in the kitchen since she was hard at work on her laptop. We made something light for lunch, making sure Maisie took a break to eat before she continued with her School work. It was so cute when she asked Harley for some help. She instantly moved to sit with her younger sister to help her as much as she could without any hesitation. Their relationship is so pure, nothing could ever come between them. It makes me miss my Sisters so much seeing them together. I just found myself watching in awe at them both working together, Harley making sure to not just give her all the answers, but instead helping her get there on her own. Once she got her work done, she put her laptop away and we spent the rest of the afternoon watching a movie together whilst Stuart was out at work. It's unusual for him to work weekends, but Harley told me he does make exceptions for certain jobs. We ended up watching a movie or two together before Stuart got home. We must have lost all track of time so when he arrived, we jumped up to get ready to head to the Airport. "Ready to be back in L.A.?" Harley asks me from where she is sitting on the bed watching me pack my small bag with hand luggage. "In some ways I am, but I hate leaving London.." I admit to her, seeing her smile instantly at my words as I make my way over to where she is sitting. "Just think, you'll be showing off all your hard work when we get there." She replies easily as she takes my hand and pulls me onto her lap gently. "I know, I just love being here with you.. London is so much more relaxed than L.A. I feel like I'm in a bubble that I never want to leave here." I ramble slightly, making Harley beam back at me in reply.
"Your cute baby, but your life is in L.A. all your work, your family.. We can't stay in London forever." Harley rambles a little quietly, and I nod my head softly in agreement as I listen to her comforting voice. "I know.. Hopefully we won't be away too long." I add and she nods her head confidently in reply. "Do you have everything you need?" Harley checks and I nod in reply. "Yep, all done." She smiles, pulling me into her lips before we slowly take our last few things with us downstairs where Maisie and Stuart are waiting for us in the kitchen. "Do you want me to take you both to the Airport?" Stuart asks sweetly from the table. "Are you sure Dad? You just finished work?" Harley quickly replies as she gets a bottle of water for us both. "Of course, it wasn't a particularly hard day anyways." Stuart quickly replies, making me smile at how alike Harley is to her Dad. Even the smallest things they are so similar. "Thanks Dad." I smile over and thank Stuart before we have a quick coffee and then make a move to take our bags to the car. Maisie decides she wants to tag along so once we have everything packed up, we all get into the car and Stuart drives us all the Airport. I see Harley checking the doors for any unwanted attention, and thankfully I don't see any so I instantly feel a relaxed as we find a space and park the car. We all climb out, grabbing the bags between us and heading inside. As much as Harley tried to protest, I booked us First Class tickets so we'd be more comfortable so we check in our bags before turning to say our goodbyes. Again. "Be good for your Dad Maisie." I quickly tell her as she comes to give me a hug. I quickly wrap her in my arms and squeeze her tight, making her giggle. "I will, I promise." She mumbles against my shoulder before I let her go and she beams up at me. "Don't stay away too long." She whispers, holding back a few tears. "We won't, I promise." I quickly assure her before we share another quick hug and then she goes to say goodbye to her Sister. "Take care of yourself and this one in busy L.A. Lizzie." Stuart tells me with a smile before pulling me into one of his 'bear hugs' as Maisie calls them. "I will Stuart." I mumble into his shoulder before we pull apart and we turn to watch Harley and Maisie with adoring smiles.
"I don't think I will ever get used to being in First Class.." Harley mumbles tiredly, making me giggle as I continue playing with the rings on her fingers. "Well considering how your used to flying with the Army, I'm not surprised." I add, making her laugh and nod her head in agreement. She has told me some stories of how she has had to fly home from Tour, and I can't imagine how she even managed to be comfortable, let alone sleep. She really is something else. "So what's your schedule looking like so far?" Harley asks as she settles back in her seat so she can see me better. I take out my phone and open my e-mails, going through everything I know about so far so she knows where we will be at and when. She gives me her undivided attention as I ramble through everything before she seems to take a minute to let it digest before leaving a quick kiss on my head. "Do I need to go out and buy something new to wear for the Premiere?" She asks, making me giggle as I shake my head softly. "My team already has something for you." I tell her in a whisper, knowing I had already asked them to get something for her before I had even asked her. "Do they now.. Can I know what yet?" She teases, making me laugh as I just shake my head again. "Nope. You'll have to wait like me." I tease back, making her chuckle beside me. "Fair enough.. I just hope it's something that brings out my eyes." She adds and I burst out laughing. "Don't worry, I'm sure it will Soldier." I add, making her laugh as I snuggle back into her side feeling a wave of tiredness take over. "Why don't you get some sleep baby?" Harley suggests, and I already feel my eyes closing slowly at her words. "Are you going to try and sleep too?" I ask sleepily, making her chuckle beside me. "I will once you are comfortable and asleep.. You know it takes me a while to settle and fall asleep." She adds and I nod my head softly in reply. "I'll wake you if they bring some food around okay?" She tells me barely above a whisper as I feel my eyes falling heavy. "Thank you baby.. I love you." I mumble into her chest, listening to her heart beating so strongly, lulling me too sleep like every night we spend together. "I love you too baby." she replies, leaving small, delicate kisses against my head as I give in to the tiredness and let myself fall into a deep sleep in my Soldier's arms.
"Baby.. We're landing." Harley's gentle tone wakes me from my sleep in her arms. I nuzzle into her chest, my body not ready to wake up but the sound of the seatbelt signs coming on makes me groan, knowing I have to move. I slowly sit up, feeling a yawn take over as I hide it behind my hands. I catch Harley laughing softly at my actions, so I playful shove her shoulder once I am done with my yawn. Giggling at Harley's playful teasing as I try and put my seatbelt on, taking away all the annoyance from being woken up as I settle back into her side with her hands in mine to help distract me from the plane lowering back to Earth. "Nice sleep baby?" Harley asks from beside me, handing me some water. "It was, thank you.. Did you manage to get any?" I reply before taking a sip of water from the bottle. "I think I managed half an hour." She tells me with a soft, tired smile and instantly my heart melts as I look up into her eyes. "Well when we get home, you can shower then go straight for some sleep." I tell her rather than suggest, making her chuckle as she nods her head in agreement. We spend the rest of the flight in easy conversation before we come into land and make our way into the Airport to collect our luggage. We each took hold of our own suitcases, wheeling them through towards the exit doors as Harley has her rucksack over her shoulder and I have my handbag hooked over my suitcase handle. Our free hands tightly interlocked as we make our way through the small crowds of people inside before reaching the doors leading to the Car Park. Instantly I feel Harley's hand grip my own, and my eyes shoot up infront of us where there are a heard of cameras pointed in our direction. I go to slow down, knowing they will all see past my sunglasses and cap, but Harley tugs my hand to pull me in close to her side. "I've got you." She tells me confidently as my grip becomes like a death grip on both Harley's hand and my suitcase handle. I glance up at Harley, and see that she has a more determined look behind her eyes since we have managed to see them before they have seen us. I take in a breath as we approach the doors, and as soon as slide open, it's not just the heat of L.A that catches us both off guard. Flashes go off like fireworks, blocking our eyeline as we are encased in a mob of people trying to get a picture of us together. God I hate this. But having Harley by my side is something I am very thankful for right in this moment.
"Lizzie! Are you currently filming a Series in L.A.?!"
"Smile this way for us Lizzie!"
"Are you both staying in L.A. For the Avengers Premiere?"
"Lizzie? Is the Scarlet Witch back for Endgame?"
The questions come loud and fast like always, but Harley is quick to hold our her hand infront of us to block the bodies from getting too close as I use my now free hand to clutch onto her jacket. They all seem to get the hint and start to back away as we walk towards the car that is waiting to take us home, but one guy seems to be getting way too close. I instantly feel my heart racing in my chest as his voice gets really loud, but before I know it, I feel Harley step out infront of me to shield me from his body. "GET BACK!" She shouts in a stern, almost Military tone of voice, sending a shiver down my spine as I grab onto the back of her jacket. "I MEAN IT, GET BACK! NOW!" She yells again in the same tone. I can't hear what the guy is saying since Harley is now directly infront of me, but I can feel her sudden movements. I try and tug on her jacket, not wanting her to lose her cool with someone when there are cameras pointed at us, but it is no use when I feel her step forward again with purpose. "GET BACK BEFORE I SHOVE THAT CAMERA SO FAR-" I hear Harley's voice getting louder as everyone seems to be watching now with their cameras pointed our way. I know they will make her look like the bad guy in all this, so I use all my strength to pull on her jacket, hoping it will distract her enough to calm her down. Thankfully, it works as she turns her body around and quickly searches my face as I feel the tears staining my cheeks as they fall. "Baby please-" I try and get my words out, but it's no use, but she seems to see my pleading gaze behind my sunglasses and quickly calms down enough to forget about what just happened. I watch as she re-adjusts her jacket before wrapping her free arm around my body and pulling me impossibly closer into her side and leads us straight for the car waiting for us. My vision is blurred from the tears but I just leave my trust in Harley as I feel us slow down and another calmer voice greeting us both. Harley does all the talking as I feel my suitcase leave my hand carefully before a car door opens and I am gently guided into a seat. I lose Harley's grip and instantly reach back for it, but she hasn't gone far and it quickly returns as she gets into the seat next to me, shutting the door behind her before the driver checks the address before starting our journey away from the Airport.
My breathing is quickly gone erratic as I close my eyes, my heart beating so loudly in my ears muffling anything around me. I lose track of how long we have been in the car as I feel Harley hands gripping around mine as her muffled voice tries to calm me down. Eventually, my breathing slowly ever so slightly as I begin to hear more of my surroundings. "Baby please, I need you to breathe for me." Finally I hear Harley's soothing voice that instantly begins to help calm me down. I focus everything on her voice as she talks me through my panic attack. "That's it baby, nice, deep breaths.. Nice and easy.. Your doing great baby.." Her gentle words are exactly what I need to help calm me down enough so I can look up into her worried eyes. Her hand lifting to my cheek to wipe away any stray tears that have fallen, her touch so soft and sweet. It still amazes me how she can go from tough, almost scary Soldier Harley, too gentle and kind Harley in a matter of seconds, but right now I am just so thankful for having her by my side. She helps me like no one else has been able too with my anxiety and panic attacks. "Talk to me baby, if you can.." Harley whispers as her fingers dance delicately over the skin on my face. I look up and meet her gaze again, her soft eyes searching my own. "I'm okay.." I manage to get out barely above a whisper, but it seems to be enough as I see Harley smile gently. "We're nearly home, but do you need anything right now?" Harley offers and I feel my own lips trying to pull into a small smile at her words. "Just you.." I whisper in reply before falling into her arms. She quickly wraps them around me, pulling me close as I lay my head on her chest, listening to the strong beat of her heart too soothe me further. Her hand not in mine is rubbing up and down my back underneath my jacket as she just lets me melt into her body. I can't wait to get home, but being in Harley's arm is just as good, if not even better. She is my home in so many ways. She's my safety and comfort, unlike anything or anyone else before her. "Thank you." I mumble against her chest, not knowing if she actually heard me. But when I feel her kiss the side of my head, I know she did. "No need to thank me baby.." She whispers in reply as I just melt even further into her body, seeking every last bit of comfort I need right now in this moment.
How will I ever survive without her by my side now?
