Kasalanan ko ba 'to?

The alpha in front of me is already panting. Bahagyang magkasalubong ang makakapal niyang mga kilay, at medyo namumula ang pisnge. He's obviously...shit. Was it my fault that he got into a rut? Or is this just a coincidence?

He's in a rut and I'm in heat.

And I know that we're both legal, but that is just for the public and only in the papers. We don't have feelings for each other. Therefore we can't mate. Ang natitirang sagot na lamang ay si Marion. His alpha needs his dominant omega right now.

"I'll c-call Marion. W-wait for me." Kahit na alam kong imposibleng magawa ko 'yon sa sitwasyon ko ngayon, sinabi ko pa rin. Tumayo pa rin ako sa kama at sinubukang lumabas ng silid. Iniisip na makuha ang aking cellphone na nasa aking silid pa.

Ngunit nakaka-dalawang hakbang pa lamang ako, agaran na akong natumba. Desmond was cursing behind me as I heard his fast movements. When he squatted beside me on the floor, I immediately turned my head away from him out of embarrassment.

"Just don't move for awhile, brat. You'll hurt yourself more and you're making it worse. Don't mind me, I can handle mine better than yours, so just...answer me if you need my help." Sabi niya at akmang tutulungan akong makatayo. Ngunit kaagad ko siyang tinanggihan at bahagyang lumayo sa kaniya.

He halted and just stared at me.

"Y-you clearly don't know what you're saying right now. The Desmond I knew would never even look at me like that!" Dahil sa sakit na nadarama, hindi sadyang nabitawan ko ang mga salitang 'yon sa pasigaw na tono.

The alpha looks taken aback, as if he just hit a realization inside his head of the way he's acting. He gulped and gritted his teeth. He looks like he's trying to hold something back.

Napapikit naman ako ng mariin. The urge to want to touch myself right now is already begging me. But how can I do it when this alpha won't leave me?

Suddenly, he groaned with frustration and grunted afterwards. He's frustrated and in a bit of pain, according to his pheromones, which just keep on intoxicating me.

Hindi maganda na ganito kami kalapit sa isa't-isa.

"Then do you want Geno's help? Davina or some alpha out there instead?" Tanong niya sa mahina na tono, pero hindi ako kumibo at nagsalita.

"Look. I know you're kind. But I'll promise you that this will just be a one-time thing-"

Para bang bigla akong napuno ng inis at mabilis na pinutol ang kaniyang sinasabi.

"And then what? You will start avoiding me again, like you did after the wedding? No, thank you, Desmond. I'd rather suffer alone than be awkward with each other all the time. This is my own fault anyway, so just leave me be." Pagputol ko sa kaniyang sinasabi, seryoso at diretsong nakatitig sa mapupungay niyang mga mata.

I don't want to make him cheat on Marion just because of this stupid heat. Lilipas rin naman ito. Titiisin ko lang ng mga apat o limang araw at mawawala rin. Kahit himatayin pa ako sa kalagitnaan ng sakit, ayos lang. Huwag lang niya lolokohin ang asawa niya.

My attention was caught by the alpha when Desmond clenches his jaw. He runs his fingers through his thick ash brown hair hesitantly. He lets out an exasperated sigh before standing up on his feet.
