Nya's POV

"Jeez Jay I'm really sorry you're sick. I know how excited you were about today" I said feeling Jay's forehead for a fever. "You're burning" I said frowning. "Hey it's okay. I just need some rest." Jay smiled weakly. "Plus now you can go. That's good right you can pick." Jay liked a shaky thumbs up. "I guess." I sigh. "You have much better taste when it comes to these things." I say taking Jay's hand in mine. "Hey that's not true. But if you find yourself at a crossroads Cole will be there to help. No one knows cake better than him" Jay said almost laughing but started to cough. "Just get some sleep. You're right though" I said staring up from the bed side. "When am I not" Jay joked. I roll my eyes as Cole knocked at the door. "HEEEEY you ready to eat cake" He said practically foaming at the mouth. "Yup, Jay sl-" before I could tell Jay to rest he was already fast asleep. He was so cute when he slept. I grabbed my purse and Cole and I headed out.

It took about 20 minutes to get to the cake shop from the Monastery since we took Cole's jet. When we arrived Cole pushed past me in excitement while foaming from the mouth. I roll my eyes and follow him inside. "Holy shit it's the ninja" a girl around 17 said jumping up and down. Another women comes out "Hello welcome Ninjago Bakery. I'm the owner. You're here for your appointment for cake testing right?" "Tha-" "That's right" Cole said interrupting me. "Hi I'm Cole groomsmen" he said shaking the women's hand. "Nice to meet you Cole" She smiled and looked over his shoulder. "So what are we looking for. I bet the bride has some ideas." "Uh about that" I say feeling totally out of my element (get it?). "That's more of Jay's thing. He got sick so I came instead." "Oh no. I hope he feels better" she smiles. "We will find something Nya" Cole reassured me. "Yeah you're right let's get testing." "That's the spirit" Cole said rubbing his hands together drooling with anticipation.

"Ok so I brought out our most popular flavors" the women said placing plates down on a beautifully colored place setting. "So which is this o-" I stop my sentence "Cole your supposed to savor it so you can help me pick." "Sowry" Cole said with his mouth full of cake. The girl from before started to laugh.

"You have here a vanilla bean cake with lemon frosting, Chocolate with strawberry frosting, and coffee with mango frosting" the manager said motioning towards the various cake flavors. "Hey miss which one is this it tastes weird" Cole said looking weirdly at the cake he had just taken a bite of. "Cole don't be rude" I say sighing. "Um sir that's uh not cake. It's a styrofoam model." Cole's eyes widened. "That explains it" he said looking at the model cake. I slap my hand to my forehead trying not to laugh.

After about an hour of trying all the cakes from the most popular to least popular we found the cake. We chose a chocolate cake with a swirl of strawberry and vanilla frosting. Many people choose fancy cake flavors to seem important but unlike them I actually want to eat my wedding cake. When it came to choosing the decor of the cake I decided to make it meaningful. It had dark blue frosting representing Jay and I's color. It had gold flakes representing Jay's lighting. And to top it off it was covered with white lilies. Jay always called me his water lily and I thought it would be a sweet touch.

When we got home to the Monastery I went straight to Jay's room/ mine too since I just my old room for an office of some sorts. "Heeeey" I said peeking my head into the room. "Oh hey" Jay said smiling look a bit healthier than before. "How'd it go? Did you pick a cake" He asked taking my hand as I sat down by his side. "Yup" I smiled. "I can't wait to see what you decided on." "Me too" I said kissing him on his forehead. I can't wait to marry you Jay Walker.
