Kia's POV:

I was walking out from the store in a hurry to get to the Monastery. Earlier today I saw an advertisement for a pop up Halloween store and I heard they had a genie costume. I would combine it with my old pirate costume from three years ago. I knew it would freak out Jay and what's Halloween without a few tricks?

I hadn't told anyone what I was planning because the guys would probably tell me not to and Nya would try and beat my ass. Then again Jay got me last year so now it's time for my revenge. I cringe at the word "revenge."

The thought of Asphera made a shiver go down my spine. Losing my powers sucked. I felt useless. My elements are what make me a ninja despite what the others say. Lloyd says I'll always be a ninja. Powers or no powers. That's not how he felt when he lost his. I told him:               "you're the green ninja no matter what. It's what's inside that makes you who you are."

I don't know if I'm fully convinced I believe that. If it was that easy I'd be the green ninja. I shook the thought from my head as well as the one's about Asphera. Jealousy doesn't change anything plus green is the color of jealousy and I'm red. I laugh at my clever analogy as I text Nya that I'm on my way home.

Kai's Phone

Sis- Where are you? U better not be late.

Me- ...

Sis- I swear if I have to fish u out of a ditch cause u took on some bad guys alone!

Me- Chill Nya I just had to get my costume.

Sis- K

It took about 30 minutes to get to the monastery since I took my bike and for some reason we have to walk up all those flights of stairs. I think it's Wu's way of getting us to do even more exercise.

I open the door to the monastery orange light overwhelms my eyes at first sight. I hear the "Monster Mash" playing in the background. Lloyd was handing Zane, who was standing on a ladder, plastic bats to hang above the awning.

Jay was at the table they set outside for snacks and beverages. He was desperately trying to prevent Cole from eating the cake that was cleverly decorated as Cole when he was a ghost. "Hey it's my face why can't I eat it? And did you ever think this was hurtful Jay?"

Cole crossed his arms as he dodged Jay's arms trying to stop him. "It was your idea bolder brain." Jay protested. Coles arms shot down defensibly and shot a glare at Jay.

"No need for name calling Sparky" Cole smirked. "Ha ha look here's another cake just for you" Jay said as he took out a undecorated chocolate frosted cake. "Awww thanks buddy" Cole said and ran into the monastery drooling.

Jay turned over to see me laughing. "Hey what costume did ya get" he asked leaning over to see the bag but I quickly stuffed it behind me. "Nah you have to wait." I said smirking evilly. Jay frowned but started to walk away.

"Where's Nya" I asked before he left. "Probably putting on her costume which Imma do right now. You should party starts in 20 minutes" Jay said and quickly made his way into the monastery.

This is gonna be great I thought to myself. Lloyds not the only one who can play pranks.
