A/N: So I have been watching Rapunzel and Tangled and got the idea to combine the two adaptations of the story and turn into my favorite thing: Jaya. Jay is featured as Rapunzel, why, because I can. I hope you enjoy this story it will probably be long sorry ab that...

A long time ago their lived a kingdom whom had just received a darling little prince with electric blue eyes, adorable auburn curls, and freckles painted across his rosy cheeks. His eyes however where the most magnificent appearance of the child. The king and queen decided to name him Jay. He was beloved by the entire kingdom and his parents couldn't have loved him more.
They had prayed and tried for ages to have a child and when the queen became pregnant the royals were thrilled. The baby was the happiest child one would ever meet and his laugh just likes his personality was electric.
The kingdom rejoiced for their new prince. All was well until it wasn't. One night the prince was sleeping peacefully in his crib when the warm air shifted to a cold atmosphere. Jay awoke to find a cloaked figure looking down on him. Jay being the sweet baby he was giggled assuming the figure was a friend. He held out his stuffed bear thinking they were going to play.
The cloaked figure reached for Jay and picked him up. Jay held tightly onto his bear and cooed. The figure heard the doors to the princes room start to open. He quickly left with the child and jumped off the balcony and teleported to a castle which had been abandoned for decades.
The queen had come to check on her son when the figure had taken Jay. She approached the crib only to see an empty crib. The queen let out a blood curdling scream. Guards rushed into to find the queen sobbing on her knees calling out for her son. The king was summoned. They ordered every guard in the kingdom to search for the prince. Day went on with no trace of Jay. The king and queen fell into disrepair and with them, the kingdom. A once happy place turned somber full and dark.
Almost 18 years later...
"Jay you better put that stuff away before you know who gets back, you know he hates this stuff," Cole, Jays best friend who was also a dragon, warned. "Nah he just hates you," Jay teased. Cole looked at his friend offensively. "Cole is right, you need to be careful," Zane, the wise falcon Jay befriended, said.
"What's the worst that could happen? I'd be grounded?" Jay said sarcastically putting things away. Cole and Zane looked at Jay sympathetically. "Hey you're 18 in a week, he has to let you outside," Cole reassured. Jay sighed. "I hope you're right," Jay said as he put the last of his inventing tools in a loose floor board where they couldn't be found. All of a sudden a knock was heard at the grand doors. "It's Nadakhan!" Cole exclaimed running and hiding with Zane. "Shhh don't let him hear you!" Jay warned as he rushed to the door. "Father," Jay greeted as Nadakhan stepped through the doors. "How was your trip?" Jay asked taking his fathers coat.
"Dreadfully boring, I'm glad to be back here with you," the man said cupping Jays face. Jay smiled warmly. "Have you gained weight?" Nadakhan asked abruptly. He always found ways to lower Jays self esteem but made it seem like it was 'loving'. "Oh, um, maybe?" Jay answered putting the coat on a hanger.
"What have you kept yourself busy with?" Nadakhan asked. "Not inventing again I hope it's a waste of time and waste of your talents," he said taking a seat in one of the many lounge rooms in the dark abandoned castle, which Jay had managed to lighten up a bit. "No, of course not," Jay lied, "Cleaning," Jay offered as his activity. Nadakhan nodded in approval. "Very good child," Nadakhan gestured for Jay to sit next to him. "You have something on your mind," he observed. "Well out with it."
Jay decided it was now or never. "Well Father as you know it's my birthday in a week," Jay begun. "And I only want one thing," he took a deep breath. "I want to go outside and see the world even just for a day," Jay but his lip.
Nadakhan stood up his face serious. "Stand up," he instructed Jay. Jay listened and faced his father. "What have I told you about going outside?" "It's dangerous and I'm forbidden but I'm almost 18 and" Jay was cut off by Nadakhan. "And it is still dangerous. It doesn't get any less dangerous the more years that pass."
