The sound of thunder has multiple meanings to Nya. It can be literal or, the feeling, the feeling that's so strong that it makes a sound.
A sound filled with so much rage and anger that goes straight from your heart to yours ears tight to your brain then back to your heart to shatter it.
"I hate you."
That, to Nya, was the sound of thunder. Ever changing. Once thunder felt safe, protective.
Now, it's pain, fueled by pure hatred.
Nya had always thought to have hate it had to be mutual but now she knew that couldn't be further from the truth.
Nya didn't hate Jay, she could never.
The words sounded as if they clapped right through her body to shatter her soul.
It seemed only fair that her heart be shattered now that Jay's goodness was as well.
It seemed impossible. Such a kind man turned into a pure form of such evil.
The history book on the shelf truly does repeat itself.
Nya was going to stop this storm. The sound of thunder, she determined, was once again going to bring her peace.
