Jaya Week Day 3 (Our Distance & That Person)

Narrator's POV
"Do you have to go?" Jay whined to his fiancé. Nya giggled. "Wu said he needed me on this mission, I won't be gone longer than 2 weeks," she explained.

Jay's jaw dropped. "What! 2 weeks?!" Nya nodded. "That's like uh forever!"

Nya rolled her eyes. "At least let me come with you. She smiled. "Oh Sweetie you are so behind on the mechs as it is," she teased.

"Ugh I forgot about that! Seriously, take me with you now!" Nya kissed him on the cheek.

"I wish I could but it seriously is just 2 weeks." "2 years!" Jay shouted in alarm.

"That's not what I said and you know it," Nya shook her head in amusement.

"I'll feel like 2 years," Jay murmured. Nya hugged her yang goodbye.

When Nya left Jay slumped onto the couch. Life felt meaningless without her. Sure it was only 2 weeks but Nya made Jay's world spin.

Time just seemed to stop without her. He didn't want to admit it but he was scared she might not return.

Sure it was a routine mission to collect information but after their track record any moment could be their last.

What if she turned into the sea again? Jay knew it was crazy but he was so afraid to lose her.

He knew it was probably not smart to have his whole life revolve around a girl but Nya wasn't any ordinary girl.

He knew that from the moment they first met. He couldn't let her go. He couldn't ever forget about her.

The two weeks felt like hell to Jay. When Nya returned he felt a wave of relief. He hated being this scared.

When Nya entered the door Jay jumped at her like a puppy running to their owner.

Nya hugged Jay as tightly as she could she also missed him so much.

"Never leave again!" Jay cried not letting go of her. "You big baby," She laughed into his shoulder.

"Did you finish the mechs at least?" Jay nodded. "Wanna see?"

Nya smiled "Lead the way..."
