Connie continues to stare at the Titan that laid on his home, off his horse this time as (Y/n) and Reiner approached him.
[Y/n]: Connie! Are there any survivors?..-She asks while Bertolt catches up with the three. Connie shakes is head-
[Connie]: No...None at all...-A single tear escapes his eye- It's all over...-Soon, more tears spill- My hometown... It's gone forever..
[Gerger]: Hey! Something's strange here..-A girl soldier walks over to his side as he continues his sentence- Has anyone spotted any bodies?..-Each of them shakes their heads-
[Reiner]: No...-Reiner sighs. Bertolt rips his eyes away from the two and looks over to his side-
[Bertolt]: I haven't...-Geger furrows his eyebrows-
[Geger]: How is that even possible? Titans come and not a single drop of blood?..
[Soldier]: Everyone must've escaped!..-The girl soldier intervened- It means nobody here was eaten. Including your family, too...-She looks over at Connie, who smiles-
[Connie]: I see... That's gotta be it!..
[Soldier]: Yeah. It's unbelievable to think Titans ate everyone without leaving blood behind...-She smiles back. Geger goes quiet, thinking-
[Geger]: That's not all that's unbelievable. If the entire village was really evacuated, why would Titans obliterate these houses with nobody in them? But what really boggles my mind is the stables. If they tried to escape without horses, their chances of survival would be slim..-Geger finally speaks, turning to everyone- Everyone got their torches?..-(Y/n) and everyone nodded towards him- Let's move! Our mission now is to locate and assess the breach in the wall!..
The group, except for Connie, rush over to their horses. Connie takes a breather and starts to walk, with the Titan watching his movements. He climbs on his horse, about to leave until something shocking makes him frozen.
"Wel... come... home..."
He gradually and fearfully turns as he notices the Titan's mouth move. Connie's breath hitches as he just stared at it.
[Connie]: Just now...-The feel of someone's hand on his shoulder makes him blink and looks to see Reiner shaking him-
[Reiner]: Connie, hurry up! We're falling being Geger!..-He lets go of him as Connie leans himself forward-
[Connie]: Reiner? Did you hear that? The Titan--
[Reiner]: I didn't hear anything at all..-Reiner stated- Enough with the chit-chat. Focus on the mission!..
