PART 1: ELIMINATION
In the silence of the night, on an empty road in the suburbs, a man in a black robe was standing on the top of a small building. A black scythe was attached to his back with some sort of magic as there was no physical hook. This man was silently scouting the road like a vulture looking for its prey. The cold wind was slashing its way through his hard black mask.
A motorcycle passed the signal on that road at high speed. A man was driving it and a woman was sitting at the back. After looking at this, this man in black robes got a smile on his face. He disappeared into thin air the next moment.
"Slow it down, Dave!" said the woman sitting at the back of that motorcycle. She seemed worried but had an amused smile on her face.
"Don't worry, Virginia, I can handle this speed," said the man driving.
The woman said it and was a little worried too. But, the main thing was that she was enjoying it. And her boyfriend, the man driving the motorcycle, knew that. He tried to do more to impress her.
The next moment, the man let the handle of the bike loose, he raised his hands and yelled with pride. The bike kept going on at high speed.
"What the — " reacted the woman, "you're scaring me, Dave, get your hands back!"
"Sure, sweetie," said Dave, placing his hands back on the motorcycle.
"That's sweet," said the woman, "wait, who's that?"
"What?" the man was amazed. "Does this guy have a death wish?"
The man blew a horn at some guy in black robes standing in the middle of the road. It was too late to reduce the motorcycle's speed and the guy on the road was not moving away.
"Step aside!" screamed the man on the motorcycle when he was one meter away from the collision.
The guy on the road drew forth his huge scythe and swung at the driver. The driver was thrown sideways, fell, and plowed the road with marks of blood. The motorcycle went on ahead from the side of the guy with the scythe. The woman fell on the road and slipped along the way for a few meters.
The woman was okay. Her leg just seemed to be broken, she crawled toward her boyfriend. The guy with the scythe walked slowly near her.
"What the heck is wrong with you?" yelled the woman looking for her phone in her purse to call an ambulance.
"There won't be any need for that," said the man with the scythe. The smile on his half-masked face reflected calmness. "This man is dead already. I am quite surprised that you're alive." His voice had no pleasure in it, he just smiled like a child, unaware of the seriousness.
"No, Dave!" sobbed the woman. She tried to move closer to Dave, but the blood around his head scared her, she looked at the man with the scythe. "Who the heck are you? Why did you attack Dave?"
"Oh, I am Domino," said the man with his never-ending smile. "I am one of the Zortus members. I kill people who are not worth letting live. Your boyfriend, for example, has been driving like this for a while now, he risks everyone's lives when he gets on his bike."
"He has never injured anyone with his driving!" yelled the woman.
"Well, it's only a matter of time before he does," said Domino, "so I killed him before he killed someone innocent. You see, he does not care for his life, to begin with, that's why he prefers style over safety, but the people he will crash into care about their lives. Also, this man does not treat women nicely, you must know that too. I research every person before killing them."
