PART 1: SPECIAL
Eve Largman was the daughter of the President of the Elemental Lands. Even after being someone special, she was not surrounded by many friends. On the contrary, she was always at a distance from her classmates. When Eve walked from a crowded spot or even into the cafeteria, she heard various things about her.
"I heard she can't even use her elemental powers."
"She's the President's daughter, that's why she was accepted as a student, someone like her stands no chance against us with Elemental Powers."
"I heard that she killed her sister by taking her into the Dark Forest to the Ghosts."
"I heard she killed her sister with her own hands."
"She wasn't even expelled for her mistake."
Eve paid no attention to all those. Over the years, she had trained herself to be independent of friends. She needed no one. She was good with plans and that was all she focused on. She knew she was more powerful than 80% of the students at the Elemental Academy by just using her martial arts. But she never picked a fight as she was smart enough to fudge that.
Eve did not respond to the challenges she heard, and she did not respond to anything bad she heard from those little brains. She pitied those who sought satisfaction from others' reactions. People gave her the title of 'The Ice Queen' as she came to be known as heartless.
She spent most of her free time sitting at the river bank. She stared at the Dark Forest to remember her mistake when she was a child. Her curiosity ended up killing her sister, June. Not just that, Eve hit her sister with her move. Even after that, June came in the middle of the Ghost attacking Eve. She was alive because her sister sacrificed herself.
"Don't stare at your mistakes," a man's voice came from behind.
Eve turned to find Master Owens standing behind. Eve was saved by Master Owens after June that day. She was grateful to this man enough to call him her guardian angel.
"I am keeping myself on track by reminding myself of those mistakes," said Eve.
"When we accept our mistakes and change, we start moving on the right path," said Master Owens. "What you are doing here is just punishing yourself."
"What if I like to punish myself?" said Eve.
Master Owens came near and placed his hand on Eve's head. Eve felt so small and weak, but she was glad to hear the words from Master Owens's mouth,
"It was not your fault."
PART 2: ANNIE'S NEW FRIEND
Annie was a free bird. She never tied herself down to a single group of friends. She just roamed around to meet strangers daily. She had a likable personality so she made almost everyone her friend during the first few months of the Academy starting.
She had met and talked at least once to every one of her classmates. But there was only one boy left. Aarav Glowet. He was brought to the Elemental World from the Human World. Annie was sure Aarav would be lonely as Elemental Beings were not fond of Humans.
Annie wanted to find Aarav in his free time and meet him. Aarav did seem to radiate some sort of gloomy personality, but Annie was sure it was only the first impression. Annie believed that deep down, everyone would always be nice.
After some hard work, Annie found that Aarav was at the Library or the Fire Training Grounds in his free time. For some days, she just watched him from afar. She did not want to drive him away, so she first gathered info about him. She kept her distance, she did not want Aarav to think someone was stalking him.
