PART 1: IMPORTANT NEWS
Far away, outside the Capital City, a beautiful Academy was founded 500 years ago. This Academy served as one of the most famous and prominent academies where kids from all over the nation were taught to use their Elemental Powers. Many such academies were founded, but Elemental Academy served as an attraction to all youngsters and their parents.
With over 150 years of experience, Master Ellendun was the current principal of the Elemental Academy. A 300-year-old wizard and the last of his kin, Master Ellendun had earned a lot of trust from the citizens of the Elemental Lands. He was the main reason people felt safe in sending their children to a place so near to the Dark Forest.
The Academy was a radiant place to stay for the students for a 2-year long course. Although the same school had elementary and middle school education provided, there were different merits to enter for the high school education along with all that Elemental Training was provided too. It was legal for academies to teach the use of Elemental powers to kids after 15. Some did learn to use their powers from parents and relatives but that was okay.
There were many grand gates with the most popular and gigantic one leading to the Central Hall. It was a huge greenhouse, made of glass all around and surrounded by a small canal joining up with the river at its south.
Across that river was a deadly group of wilderness known as the Dark Forest. Home to innumerable ghosts trapped to never leave. It was forbidden for any student to enter the Dark Forest, even a step across the river was punishable by expulsion. Two little girls did cross the river once and encountered a Ghost. One of them was killed and the other was forgiven because they were children.
The Elemental Academy was acres wide with a huge cafeteria, dormitories, and various buildings for various classes built in it. There were 6 grounds for Elemental training, one for each Element and one for the people with Unique Elements.
It was Master Ellendun's rule to give a nice speech to the newcomers at the Elemental Academy on the first day of the term. He gave the speech to the current newcomers who got hyped up with the motivation to work hard. In the end, he had to add something not many would like. But he said it anyway.
"I am going to retire from the Academy, this batch would be the last for me."
PART 2: CURSED FLAME
Everyone in Gavin's family had Earth Element, he was the first in generations to get any other Element, but he had Fire. The worst enemy of Farmers. He had burnt his family's hard work accidentally countless times. Gavin had a really hard time controlling his flames, he had even hurt his neighborhood friends accidentally.
That was the reason why he did not have many friends. He was also cursed many times by those who got hurt by his flames. He was born with another Element than his entire family, he was naturally left aside by the outsiders' impression of the Murray Family.
Upon hearing the news of Master Ellendun's retirement, everyone was sad and reacted with questions like
"Why?"
"Did the President ask you to step down?"
"Is there something more important to take care of?"
Gavin, 15 years old now, was sad, but he was glad that he would be able to learn from an Academy still under Master Ellendun's leadership. Gavin admired all the Masters, he wanted to become one someday. Of all the Masters, he admired Master Ellendun and Master Wyngaf the most as he had heard the most about them.
"Calm down," said Master Ellendun to the crowd of students. "I will leave the leadership of this Academy in the very capable hands of Master Kary Kirason."
