Chapter 71: Planned

PART 1: REACTION

Army 6's HQ had its top floor made as Captain's room. Katie and Eve rushed to Captain Ellie's discussion hall to blame her for stopping Army 11's action after the President had asked them to cooperate. Katie thrashed the door open and yelled,

"Stop your people from getting in our way!"

Captain Ellie was sitting alone in the room. She calmly got up and closed the file she was reading and said,

"Calm down, Captain Brown. Explain to me what you are talking about."

Her reaction was calm, but Eve knew for sure that Captain Ellie was just acting.

"You hear so much commotion," said Eve to Captain Ellie, "right inside your HQ and your reaction is calm as if nothing important is going on?"

"Oh, so you're talking about that," said Captain Ellie, "I do apologize for this. Maybe the new recruits did not get the message of staying out of Army 11's way. So they are trying to defend Army 6."

Captain Ellie walked near a window and pressed a button, it slid open. She created a platform using sand and hopped on it.

"Come on," she said, her reaction was suddenly nasty. "If you want to save your team, we better hurry."

Katie and Eve hopped on the sand platform outside the HQ. They were frustrated. Captain Ellie was playing them. She deliberately set Mary and Kary to fight and stall Army 11. Katie was mostly oblivious but she seemed focused on that incident. Eve had no idea why an act like that was orchestrated by Captain Ellie. She could only guess that Captain Ellie wanted to defeat and humiliate Army 11's members.

"We have fights and brawls all the time," said Captain Ellie, "I do not try to pay attention to them, it's best to continue my work."

When they reached the entrance hall on the ground floor, Captain Ellie lowered her sand platform. The view was tragic. Katie and Eve could see the members of Army 6 standing at a distance from all the destruction. The floor was messed up, many pillars were broken, walls and rooms were destroyed, and furniture was smashed to pulp.

Captain Ellie, Katie, or Eve, no one said anything until Captain Ellie's eyes got on Mary and Kary, sitting on a bench, arrested and almost annihilated. Captain Ellie's eyes grew bigger. She was furious. Mary and Kary were defeated while Raymond and Gavin were almost unhurt. She could not imagine that outcome.

"Shocked? Aren't you?" Eve asked Captain Ellie to tease her.

"What the hell are you talking about?" Captain Ellie said.

She made it look as if she had no idea what Eve meant. But in her mind she could imagine the mistake she had made. She herself had a brawl with Raymond and Katie and the power they packed in their hits was higher than most. It was a lesson learnt the hard way; Army 11 cannot be defeated easily.

Raymond and Gavin walked up to Eve and Katie. Katie quickly came and hugged Raymond.

"Geez! Why don't you two start dating already?" Gavin said.

"We're not like that," said Katie.

"And we will never be," Raymond added.

Gavin raised his arms and folded them behind his head, he was in a relaxed state after that intense fight.

"Hm, I thought you'd start dating at something," Gavin said, he looked the other way.

"We are just like you and Alice," said Raymond.

Gavin knew that they were not like him and Alice because she liked him. He was also sure that he would never let that secret out for Alice, so he kept his mouth shut. Ever since came to know of Alice's feelings, Gavin was quite reluctant in showing affection. They were still friends, but he did not want to send any signals to Alice.
