Chapter 78: Battle At The Riverbank

PART 1: ARREST

After the havoc they had caused, Ginny, Gavin, and Alice stood calmly, putting most of the Army 6's intruders in handcuffs. The situation had finally stabilized. There were no more intruders coming in their way. Behind them were a group of Army 1 members, assigned to help by Army 1 and Mr President.

As Gavin and Alice were guarding the offenders, Alice took the Army 1 members with her to the vaults and started the investigation. For help, they even asked the Alterin Police force to assist with the arrests. When the Police arrived, they took all the offenders with them to jail. There were some people with Elemental Powers with the Police as well, those who could not get into the Army or for some reason, those who did not want to join an Army, they joined the Police force.

There were a number of jobs people took when they could not get into any one of the Armies. Some joined the Fire Force, Rescue Corp, etc, all of which were quite honorable indeed. Some even worked in non flashy regular jobs and made the tasks easier with their powers. Cooking for events, working in factories and using their elements as needed, some worked as Delivery people as well. The scope of employment was unlimited.

PART 1: SURRENDER

Captain Rox was lying on the floor unconscious. He had minor injuries but he mostly passed out because of exhaustion. In front of him was Master Owens.

"He did not even take his cloak off!" whispered an Army 8 member to another about Master Owens.

"He was unscathed after fighting our Captain," said another.

"I don't like to fight!" Master Owens announced.

He turned towards the crowd; the bystanding Army 8 members. The crowd lost its calm. One lady raised her hands and placed them behind her head. With her lead, everyone else did the same. Army 8 had surrendered.

Soon the undercover Army 1 helpers came out and started arresting the offenders. Police buses and vans showed up next to take the offenders for interrogation and further investigation.

"I hope I was helpful," said Finek.

Finek was an Army 8 member. He did not attack Master Owens or aided his fellow members for committing a crime.

"I know about your deed," said Master Owens. "You need to keep your mouth shut and face straight, if that comes out, you'd be an easy target. Lay low for a while."

"I will, Master," said Finek, "It felt right to do the right thing."

Eve had received a mysterious note pointing them towards Army 8 under the impression that they had notes of their secrets. Army 6 and 8 conspired together to not do missions involving protecting the Human Earth and also not treating well the people who supported equality with humans. All those files were pushed deep inside so they would never come out.

Finek was done acting. He decided to secretly help Army 11. He left the note and even kept Votilda away from the Army 8 HQ for the day. He loved her, she was a short tempered girl, she definitely would have tried to fight Master Owens while he was on that mission, but Finek did not want her to be arrested. He sent her on a leave for the day.

A man from the cops came to Master Owens. He was the City Police Head. He said,

"Thanks for your assistance, Master."

Master Owens knew the cop from an incident before, he trusted him and his loyalty towards the cause of equality amongst the Elemental Lands. He said,

"I hope you can take care of this from here on, I have somewhere else to be. Good luck."
