PART 1: BATTLE
"This is a bad idea," said Alice.
Alice did not want to let Gavin follow Votilda's plan. It was illogical, rude, and highly unethical. But Votilda, Finek, and Gavin did not listen to her. They had planned to ambush Aarav. They knew he was strong, that's why they needed numbers to fight him.
"We will just hit him once or twice," said Gavin. "It's not like we will beat him up harshly."
"What if he hits you back?" asked Alice.
"Oh, please," Votilda reacted. "We are 4, he is one."
"I'm not with you," Alice clarified. She looked at Finek.
"I don't want to either," said Finek. "I am here to protect Votilda no matter what. She doesn't need it, that's true as well."
Aarav was coming from afar. He was returning from his run after supper. Alice sensed him before the others. She concentrated well. She sensed something dark leaking off of Aarav's body. It was so ominous that she got scared instantly. She had never seen something so intense from anyone.
"We need to leave," said Alice. "I have seen Aarav for the first time, but he does not seem like a normal person. I cannot explain, but he has some intense Elemental Energy in him."
"That's your fear talking," said Votilda.
"It's not fear," said Alice in worry, "my sensing skills are far better than anyone here."
Votilda did not listen. She stretched her arm and a rope-shaped flame came out and grabbed Aarav's right hand. Aarav acted surprised. But he was not scared in the least.
"You can just ask for a fight," he said, "I won't decline."
"Then," said Gavin. "I challenge you to a duel."
"A duel is not needed," said Aarav.
He knew everyone's strengths. He had nothing to fear. Aarav waved his other hand and the ground beneath him rose and restrained his legs. Votilda tried to pull Aarav, but now he did not budge. Aarav swung his arm and Votilda was swung with it, she was dragged into Gavin and both of them fell. Aarav let the ground loose so he could move again.
Finek came closer, running, but he did not summon Lightning. Aarav and Finek got into a fistfight. Votilda got up with Gavin. They made their way toward Aarav.
"I don't have anything against you," said Finek. "I just want to test my strength."
"I don't mind," said Aarav.
He was not even serious. Aarav gathered rocks from the ground around his hands. He punched Finek with those rocky hands. Finek formed an X with his arms to tank the punch but was thrown far away even with that.
Votilda launched a fireball at Aarav. The fireball hit Aarav's torso, but it had no effect. Aarav was shocked, he asked,
"What are you trying to pull? Take this seriously, I don't like confused minds."
Gavin came running. Aarav moved straight to Gavin and slammed him to the ground. Votilda came to punch Aarav, but he ducked and shoved Votilda to the ground. Aarav summoned fire in his fist and kept them near the faces of Gavin and Votilda.
"It's over," Aarav said. "I've won."
Aarav looked at Alice who just stood there for the duration of the fight. She was still terrified. He did not try to attack her as she did not, besides, he followed everything he was taught in class. Hurting the weak was wrong. He was not weak, so being attacked by multiple people did not bother him.
