Chapter 82: Into The Abyss

PART 1: IN THE WAY

"That was your mother," said Domino.

Brendan was on his knees, he was not fully conscious as Domino was trying to get into his mind. Domino walked slowly towards Brendan with his scythe in his hand.

"I just wish you could learn something from her and be kind to others," said Domino. "She attacked only when someone attacked her or her kids. She was truly a noble woman."

"She was killed!" Brendan said with struggle. "Killed by people with no powers!"

Brendan was still not okay, he could not keep his body posture intact, he was still forced into weakness by the invisible force Domino was using on Brendan's mind.

"It's not much of a difference," said Domino, "You will be killed by me. I don't really think your sister is as bad as you, who killed humans. She just did not do her job of protecting others, but you are a menace. I can't show you any sympathy even for your mother's flawless personality. So prepare to die!"

Domino pulled his scythe back and slashed forward.

CLANG!

Domino's slash collided with Brendan's blade. Brendan managed to pick up his heavy sword in his only arm and block the attack. He was still sweating and could not get up.

"Sorry for the delay," Domino said. "Now, goodbye for sure. I like drama."

He used his powers to tie Brendan's arm to the ground with invisible force. Brendan's sword fell on the ground. Domino swung his scythe.

CLANG!

Domino's scythe clashed with another metal, a thin sword this time, and the wielder was Dark Master Jade. He blocked Domino's slash to save Brendan.

"I don't mind you watching from the side, Jade," said Domino, "but I do mind you being in my way."

"I'm sorry," said Jade, "but Brendan is my responsibility. I brought him with me from the Elemental Lands to Koyaku. I can't let you kill him like this."

Domino jumped back a few feet with this scythe. Brendan's arm got free, he grabbed his sword and dived out of that cave leaving water splashes behind.

"Oh, no," said Domino, "You let him escape! We are too far from the centre so people can dive in and out from here!"

"We should not kill each other!" said Jade.

"You hate killers, did you forget it?" Domino said, "Brendan has killed countless innocent beings just because he thought he was better than them and they did not deserve to live. I look at the actually wrong people and punish him, but he is a mad man."

"I don't know why I saved Brendan," said Jade, "But I can say for sure that you're both killers. You are not better than him."

Domino took a fighting stance against Jade. He got his scythe pointing forwards and focused. Jade did not move a muscle, instead he said,

"You're in no shape to fight me."

"You'd be surprised how long I can last," said Domino.

PART 2: ONE MISSION

Aarav had transformed into his Berserk State. He was way faster now than before. He went straight for Aynor with a punch. Aynor tanked it with his arms. He was pushed back with the impact and the shockwave, he flipped and landed safely.

"This is what my muscles need," said Aynor.

Right after that, Aarav was riding a snake dragon made from his flames, even bigger and more intense than what he used before. His green aura was visible from far away.
