Chapter 70: Joint Attack

PART 1: HURDLE

Army 6's HQ was a 20-floored building in the middle of Alterin. Gavin was brought up in Alterin, he knew about the discrimination at Army 6. He did not care about discrimination much back then, but now, as a part of Army 11, he was disgusted by that.

Raymond, Katie, Gavin, and Eve were standing outside the Army 6 HQ. They were sure that the hearts of people inside the HQ were filled with hatred towards them. They stood like hunters in front of prey. As the President had given the authority to Army 11 to investigate the matter of discrimination, no one was going to stand in the way.

Eve had a list of things to collect from Army 6's HQ. She was also assigned 50 cadets from Army 1 to get enough hands to deliver everything to Army 11 HQ. They were going to make copies of everything related to Army 6. She had a few cadets prepare a shed outside the Beach House to accommodate all those documents.

The main gate was opened for them to enter. As four of them walked inside, their gray cloaks numbered 11 waved as everyone inside the Army 6 HQ smirked. When they asked the location of the file room, the women at Army 6 hated every second her answer continued. As she could not refuse to answer, she forced herself to direct them.

Just when they were about to enter the huge file room, they heard,

"This place is off-limits to outsiders," said a girl.

"Especially other Armies," said another girl.

Raymond saw two girls standing at the door to the file room. They were twins. They were also wearing identical clothes and had the same hairstyle. They had red hair tied into two ponytails.

"Mary, Kary," said Gavin, "we have Mr. President's permission to do so."

"I have read no such document," said Mary.

"Me neither," said Kary.

"I don't have time for this," said Eve.

She tried to force her way in, but Mary and Kary did not budge. They stood there blocking Eve's path. Eve knew both of them, they were her classmates. She also knew that they loved to cause trouble for others. Captain Ellie might have put them up to it.

Mary raised her right arm so her palm faced Eve, Kary did the same with her left arm. They both focused and soon a huge water ball formed at the center of their palms. They were sharing the same water ball.

Raymond and Katie had seen such a thing for the first time. They did not know if the Elemental Energies of two people could merge. Eve and Gavin knew about the unique sharing. Back at the tournament in Elemental Academy, the twins were not a problem as it was one-on-one. But now was a different story.

"We will fight you and you will be arrested for this," Eve warned.

Neither Kary nor Mary reacted with words. They launched that water toward Eve. She ducked. Gavin came and vapourised that with his flames. Army 6's HQ was not covered in any kind of damper network, so everyone was freely able to use their powers.

Raymond summoned fire around his arms too. Katie did not, Eve gestured to her to stay calm as she was the Captain of Army 11, her team should do the work. She was supposed to go to the respective Captain.

"Captain Ellie is going to regret this," Katie said.

Eve and Katie then made their way to the top floor in the elevator to confront Captain Ellie. There were a lot of women from Army 6 who just stood there and watched. They could be in a dilemma; if they stopped Mary and Kary, the Captain would be furious and if they stopped Army 11, they would be arrested.
