We were back on the bus and the boys were taking us to a fancy restaurant for mine and Ash's birthdays.
I had just gotten finished loosely curling my hair, my blue streak very obvious. I was still dressed in my dress from earlier as I poked my head out of the bedroom.
"How fancy is this place exactly?" I asked anyone.
"Semi fancy. Probably a little something more than the dress you're wearing now, but not much more," Luke told me. I nodded and started to shuffled through my clothes.
I found the perfect dress, it was a creamy peach and the top had a floral lace pattern on the top then two black stripes at the bottom (picture tagged). I put on plain black heels with the dress and stared at myself in the mirror.
I gently twirled from side to side, admiring the way the dress flopped gracefully to each side. I smiled at myself before walking out of the bedroom and into the living room.
"Look good?" I asked shyly, catching everyone's attention. I watched specifically as Luke's eyes widened.
"Good? That looks a-amazing," Luke stuttered his words, making me blush majorly. Luke got off the couch and walked up to me, standing in front of me. I'm normally just a few inches shorter than his shoulder but now the heels make it so the top of my head reaches up to his chin. He realized this too and gently kissed the top of my head.
They were all dressed a little nicer than normal but, of course, they all still had that edgy rockstar look. I don't mind it really, I like it.
. . .
We took a cab to the restaurant and was seated very quickly. We got water in fancy glasses and I decided to stick with that for the rest of dinner. The boys tried to order a beer but got shot down because the legal drinking age in America is twenty-one. Not quite sure how they got them before but, oh well.
"Why'd we go to a fancy restaurant?" I asked Luke who was on my right. We were sat in a circular table, Michael on my left and Ashton next to him. Calum was on the other side of Luke, taking sips from his water.
"Because it's a change," Luke shrugged. "I wouldn't have minded just a burger though, this was Ashton's idea." I nodded, agreeing with him.
"Have you finished looking over your menus?" The server who turned down the boys asked. We all nodded and she looked at me, waiting for my order.
"Can I just have a chicken ceaser salad, please?" I asked quietly, my fear of people showing. I hate talking to strangers and asking them for things especially. Thankfully, she heard me and wrote down my order, moving onto the punk next to me.
When she finally finished with Luke, she took our menus and left us at the table.
"Lauren, tell me, how does it feel to be fourteen?" Calum broke the silence, leaning over Luke to get closer to me. Luke pushed him off, making me giggle lightly.
"It doesn't feel at all different," I smiled. Calum huffed back in his seat, the answer I gave him was obviously not what he was wanting.
"El, seriously I can't believe we've known you for, like, five months," Ashton gave me a heart-warming smile.
"Right! This is crazy, so thank you guys for making me the happiest girl on the planet!" I smiled widely. "Also, congratulations on the tour, you guys are amazing on stage."
"Well, we try," Calum became all sarcastic and sassy. I rolled my eyes at him, but the smile on my face couldn't be bigger.
