I woke up to a blaring alarm. I groaned, shutting it off and slowly sitting up. I rubbed my eyes gently, heading off into the shower so I could get ready for my first day of public school in America.

I dressed into my normal attire, band shirt, shorts, bracelets, Michael's flannel and Ashton's beanie. I put on light make up and headed downstairs, only eating a banana because my nerves were making me lose my appetite. I heard heavy footsteps coming down the stairs, Luke hobbling into the kitchen right after. He yawned a little before leaning against the island for support.

"You ready?" Luke asked me quietly.

"No," I said seriously. Luke gave me sad puppy dog eyes, shuffling over to me and wrapping an arm around my shoulders.

"You'll do great Babe, everyone's got to love you," Luke whispered gently. I gently kissed his cheek as a thanks.

"I've got to leave for the bus, I'll see you later," I smiled weakly at Luke. Luke left a small kiss on my lips, handing me my backpack we filled up with supplies yesterday. I put in my earbuds, shuffling my music and heading out the door to the bus stop where I stood all alone.

The bus finally came a little bit after what it said it would but it didn't bother me. I walked down the isle, sitting in an empty seat. I pulled out my phone, going on to Twitter.

I watched carefully as we pulled into the school, my nerves out of control. I felt my phone buzz in my hand.

Lucas 👌💙: Hope you have a great day!! Love you Baby!!

Lauren: Love you, Luke. Wish me luck.

I tucked my phone in my pocket as the kids filed out of the bus. No one really seemed to mind me, making me feel a little bit better. I followed the flow of kids into the school, searching for the main office.

I finally found it after mindlessly hobbling around for five minutes, making my way inside. I stopped my music, pulling out my earbuds and walking to the older lady behind the desk.

"H-Hi, I'm Lauren and I'm new here," I tried my hardest not to sound nervous.

"Lauren Jetson?" She questioned, me nodding. "Well, I'm going to get this lovely girl named Kaitlyn in here to escort you around the school and to your first period, I give you and her full excuse to be late to first period. Now, just have a seat and she'll be here in a minute," she smiled at me. I did another little nod, heading over to the uncomfortable chairs and plopping down.

I fidgeted with my hands while waiting to see who could potentially be my best friend or my worst enemy.

I heard the door to the office open but I didn't look up to see, trying to avoid all eye contact.

"Hi, I was called down?" I heard a familiar voice, just not one I could put a finger on.

"Hi Kaitlyn, can you show our new student, Lauren, around?" The lady asked, Kaitlyn agreeing right away. I looked up to see all too familiar black hair and green eyes.

"Kat?" I asked, shocked.

"Lauren!?" She squealed excitedly. I stood up, her engulfing me in a hug. "What are you doing here!?"

"The boys are here for writing for a few months and they decided to put me in school," I shrugged.

"Go on girls, lunch is for talking," the lady told us, Kat pushing me out of the office. She snatched my schedule out of my hand, looking at it.

"We have first, second, lunch and sixth together!" She squealed again. "But let's go to your locker first!" Kat started leading the way as I looked around, taking in the large school. She took me up a flight of stairs, stopping in front of a locker a few steps away from the stairs.
