Savannah's POV

The next two days were alright. Trinity stayed away from me which was probably the best part of it all. Mom most likely spoke to her and she felt bad for doing what she did. Luckily, the swelling went down and there's only a dark coloured bruise. I can just cover that with makeup now that the swelling is gone.

I've decided to go out with Lesley today, so I call her ahead to make sure our plans are still on.

"Hey!"
"We still good for today?"
She pauses which makes me anxious, "Well, Ethan is coming along."
"Lesley..." I complain.
"What? That's not a problem is it?"
"Just say I cancelled... I wanted it just to be us two."
"Hmm... You're right, we haven't really had one on one girl talk in a while."
"Thank you."
"Be at yours in a few, got it?"
"Yep, see you."
"Ok, bye."

Good. Ethan was not coming. There's was something about him that I didn't like, but I couldn't quite find it yet. I'm sure that dark side would come out soon enough.

Before I went downstairs, I checked myself in the mirror. I was wearing a spaghetti strap dress. It had a tight, pink beaded top and the bottom was black and flared out. The dress ended exactly at my knees. I wore a pair of glittery, sparkly pink heels on my feet.

I didn't know where exactly Lelsey and I were going, but that was the good thing with best friends. It didn't matter where you were or how long you spent together, as long as you were with your best friend. I waited on the porch and texted her, letting her know that I was ready and waiting.

"Waiting outside."

I saw her turn onto my street in the distance. I got up and began to walk towards her. We met halfway, then turned and headed back in the direction she came.

"Turn to me," she said.

I tilted my head slightly.

"Yeah, that's a nasty one. I can still see the bruising a bit."
"I tried my best to cover it up."
"No worries, it's not that visible unless you look at it up close."
"Where's Ethan?"
"We're going to meet him at Starbucks, is that ok?"
"Sure..." I sighed.
"Do you think he'll like my dress? I bought it yesterday!"

I really didn't know why she had to buy a new dress for today. It was a nice green colour. The straps wrapped around her neck and the dress ended low and showed her back. There was a cute bow also on the backside of the dress.

"I love it, he should too."
"Savannah, thank you,she placed a hand over her heart.
"Anytime," I smiled.

We entered the Starbucks and it was pretty full. Most of the tables were taken up and there was a bit of a line that lead up to the counter. We made our way to the back of the line and immediately, Lesley went on her phone. Typical. I watched her check Instagram and then go text Ethan.

"He'll be arriving shortly!"
This was kind of getting on my nerves, "Why're so excited to see him?!"
"What happened to you?"
"Don't you think your overreacting?!"
"He's my boyfriend of course I- Ethan!" She dropped what she was saying before.
"Ladies," he kissed her on the cheek.

His arm slinked around her waist. There was something about him and I was determined to find out. Right now, I had to go though. I didn't want to be near him.

"Guys order? Lesley, you know what I want, the usual."
"Got it."
"Let me go find a table."

I searched the store for an empty table. Most of them were occupied except for one near the back. It was hidden, so I almost didn't see it. I quickly walked over to claim the table just in case anyone else got there before I did. When I sat down I realized someone was already sitting there, but they weren't visible because half of the table was behind the corner.

"Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to sit here. I didn't quite see you."

The person kept their head low. They wore a black t-shirt, dark jeans, a nice watch, and a black snapback. I couldn't really see their face.

"Hello? Sorry to interrupt."
"It's ok, I'm leaving."
"No, no, stay! I'll go," I insisted.
"I'm going, I might be seen..."
"Huh? What do you-"

The person lifted their hat slightly and revealed their face, it was a familiar one. Sergio Agüero.

"Your-"
"Shh," he put a finger to my lips.
I held his hand and pushed it away, "Can I get a picture or something?"
He thought for a second, "Sorry, too risky. I've been here for a while I need to go."
"I understand."
"Thank you," he moved his hand so that he was holding mine now.

Sergio got up and disappeared down the streets. I watched him walk away from the store windows. About a minute after he left, Lesley and Ethan found me sitting at the table.

"Didn't see you there!" Ethan chuckled.
"Haha," fake laugh.
"Strawberries and crème frap."
"Thanks."
"No problem," she said.

She paid because the last time I paid for her vanilla bean frappuccino. I stayed silent and let Lesley and Ethan do most of the talking. I was still taken aback from running into Sergio Agüero. What are the odds that you find a football player in Starbucks? Not every person can say that. Although, i would've liked a picture or something, oh well. I felt it getting closer, I was going to meet Adnan soon. I could just sense it.

"Everything ok, Savannah?"
"Why wouldn't I be ok?"
"You're kind of quiet today..."
"Just tired, that's all."
"Ok."

I didn't really like this situation. It was awkward. Plus, I hated being a third wheel... I thought of multiple excuses that I could use to leave.

I finished my drink and stood up to go throw it out. When I came back I knew exactly what to say,

"Sorry guys, my mom wanted me to go pick something up at the store."
"Awh, do you have to go so soon?"
"Yeah, we're running low on milk and she wants me to buy some."
"Nice seeing you then," Ethan said.
"You too," I turned my head away from then, so they wouldn't see me roll my eyes.
"Bye," Lesley smiled, "text me."
"Sure. Have fun you two."

*****

I placed the milk I had bought int he fridge. It wasn't really a lie, we did need milk, but no one asked me to get it or anything. I just thought and bought some. Things like this I do go unnoticed... That's because I'm not noticed in general.
