"Thank you, Dez. Look after her for the time being while I'm sorting everything here."
"She's feisty, Art. Should I tell her that it was you?"
"No. Let her be. Hindi rin naman kayo makakaalis sa islang iyan. Just be her guard, bro. I will get back to you as soon as possible. I don't want Philip to know that I am behind her disappearance. Maniningil pa ako sa gago," tiim-bagang ako.
"Okay. Chill, bro. I know you can handle him. I will call you again tonight. Bye."
I sighed heavily and put down the phone. Gaige is safe, in the Island with Diezel. This is the only way to keep everything in hand. I will solve this once and for all and I don't bloody care about my mother's advice. I need to get little Arthur. Konting araw na lang at malalaman ko na ang resulta ng DNA. At kapag napatunayan ko na anak ko ang bata ay kukunin ko ito kay Philip.
If Gaige could no longer remember me and our past, I would be left with no choice but to force her forcefully. I only want one thing, and that is Arthur. If Gaige disagrees with me, she will have no choice.
Mabait ako at mataas ang pasensya at pag-unawa ko sa lahat. Pero nauubos din pala ito at nagsasawa ka na sa mga bagay na hindi umaayon sa gusto mo.

"Nandito ka na naman. Mas marami ka pa yatang oras kaysa sa ama ng batang ito? Aren't you joining the meeting of the board of directors today?" si Mama. Sandali niyang nabitawan si Arthur dahil karga ko na ito ngayon sa bisig.
My smile widens, and whenever he smiles back at me, it feels like I'm in heaven.
"Did you miss me, little bud?" I asked the little one and ignored my mother's question.
"Yes!" He nodded and smiled. He wrapped his arms around my neck, looking excited.
"Do you want to go with me today? I will take you to work, and then let's go shopping and play."
"Yes, please," he responded happily.
Natahimik si Mama at alam kong pinagmasdan niya ako nang lihim kasama ang batang ito. It's been five days and I never missed a day without seeing my little boy. Dito na nga ako natutulog sa bahay at sa mismong kwarto ni Arthur.
Philip was always busy and only gave Arthur a call each night before bed. I realised something odd about the situation because Marie always looked after the little one.
Kahit pa raw noon sa Amerika ay sadyang abala raw si Philip at paminsan-minsan lang nakikipaglaro sa bata.
That only means one thing, Philip is keeping a distance from this boy because it's not his.
"Come on little, bud." Sabay hakbang ko at talikod sa ina ko. Nakasunod lang din siya sa akin ngayon.
"Do you want Arthur to be with you for the week?"
Nahinto ako at nilingon kong muli si Mama sa likod ko. She looks happy looking at the two of us.
"I'll be away for a week and I will take Marie with me. Wala kang yaya sa batang iyan. Kaya mo ba?" hamon na titig ni Mama.
"No problem, Ma. Did you hear that, bud? From now on, you are staying with me," I said happily. The little boy's face lit, and his smile widened.
Humakbang na ako palayo kay Mama at rinig ko ang pagbuntonghininga niya.
"Call me, okay?"
"Sure, Ma!" senyas ng kamay ko.
