Chapter 10

Chapter 10:

*Decision time*

Megan’s P.O.V:

Yesterday, after my performance, the girls just chilled out on the beach, we were all too nervous about the result to do much else. I hardly slept all night, I tossed and turned and couldn’t sleep. I eventually got up and got showered and dressed. I wore a red floral playsuit and flip-flops. I tied my hair up in a messy bun and wore minimal make-up. All the girls sat in a sofa area over-looking the gorgeous blue ocean whilst we were waiting to be called for the decision. Everybody was just was bundle of nerves.

The first one to be called was Lucy Spraggan, I was almost sure that she would get through. Five minutes later, she came back and I was right, she was through. Next was Amy, I really wanted her to get through, she had an amazing voice. We all congratulated her and she walked off. Amy came back with tears falling from her eyes. I couldn’t believe she didn’t get through! All the others were called in one-by one, there was two people left to go, me and a girl called Sarah. I was certain that Sarah would get through; her voice was more powerful than mine. She went in first, but I was already standing somewhere else waiting to walk up to Tulisa, so I didn’t know if she made it through or not. Who am I kidding? Of course she made it through; Tulisa wouldn’t want an ugly rat like me in her category for one of the biggest talent shows in Britain!

“Megan, I can read you like an open book, you’re absolutely petrified every time you perform. How will you cope when there are millions of people watching you on a Saturday night? I don’t know it your ready for it,” Tulisa got straight to the point, I knew by the way she was talking that I was going home, I began to quietly cry. “It’s a huge risk taking you through to the lives” Tulisa paused for what seemed like an eternity. “But your very lucky cause I’m a risk taker, a voice like yours is too good to send home.” Hold up! What did she just say? I am through to lives? Holy Fudge! I gave Tulisa a huge hug “Are you sure? This has to be a joke?” I began to think she was taking the Mickey. “Stop doubting yourself you are amazing and this is not a joke” Tulisa grinned. I didn’t care what people thought I let the tears fall fast and freely. I thanked Tulisa a million times and went back to Dermot. He gave me a huge hug and congratulated me. I couldn’t believe I was going through to lives.
