Chapter 9
*going to judges houses*
Megan’s P.O.V
Yesterday, Jade had gotten the train to Birmingham and she is back home now. I stayed at Aimee’s last night and I’m on the train to London now. I had to meet the other contestants in Heathrow and we would be told where we are going.
We had gone through security, all the girls were chatting happily to each other, I’m a really shy person and I am super nervous, so I didn’t join in the conversation that much. A girl, who is about 16, walks over to me, her name is Amy, she seems really nice, and we get chatting. I sit beside her waiting at our gate; we still haven’t been told where we are going yet. Then one of the girls, called Lucy was handed an envelope. She opened it and we were told that we are going to St. Lucia. I was so happy, I don’t travel much and I was dead excited to be going to a Caribbean island.
When we arrived we were allocated our room, given half an hour to settle in and then we had to go down to the beach to find out who our mentor was.
I didn’t really mind who our mentor was, I was just overjoyed to be here. All the girls gathered on the beach, I was talking to Amy. In the distance we could see a speedboat, out judge was on the speedboat, I couldn’t quite make out who it was. When it came closer I saw that it was Tulisa. YESSSSS! I really love Tulisa and I am super happy that she is out mentor. When she reached dry land we all ran over to her and bombarded her with hugs.
The next day I had to perform for Tulisa and Tinie Tempah, I was filled with nerves, I was doubting myself the whole time, if it wasn’t for Amy reassuring my I would be in pieces. I was called to go and perform. I was handed a mic and I stood in front of Tulisa and Tinie. I took a deep breath and began to sing;
I guess it's funnier from where you're standing
'Cause from over here I've missed the joke
Cleared the way for my crash landing
I've done it again, another number for your notes
I'd be smiling if I wasn't so desperate
I'd be patient if I had the time
I could stop and answer all of your questions
As soon as I find out how I could move from the back of the line
So I'll be your clown
Behind the glass
Go 'head and laugh 'cause it's funny
I would too if I saw me
I'll be your clown
On your favorite channel
My life's a circus-circus rounding circles
I'm selling out tonight
I'd be less angry if it was my decision
And the money was just rolling in
If I had more than my ambition
I'll have time to please
I'll have time to thank you as soon as I win
So I'll be your clown
Behind the glass
Go 'head and laugh 'cause it's funny I would too if I saw me
I'll be your clown
On your favorite channel
My life's a circus-circus rounding circles
I'm selling out tonight
From a distance my choice is simple
From a distance I can entertain
So you can see me I put makeup on my face
But there's no way you can feel it
From so far away
So I'll be your clown
Behind the glass
Go 'head and laugh 'cause it's funny I would too if I saw me
I'll be your clown
On your favorite channel
My life's a circus-circus rounding circles
I'm selling out tonight
I got really tear-eyed (again!) This song really touches me. “Thanks Megan” Tulisa said, and I walked back to the rest of the girls.
