Chapter 33
*eleventh week on xfactor*
*At home*
*Monday*
Megan’s P.O.V:
Today, I went back to London. I wasn’t looking forward to getting back, I liked being at home, but at the same time I couldn’t wait to get back to the competition. I spent the morning with my mum and I went and visited my uncle next door to say goodbye. Mum had offered to drive me to the airport, so we chatted the whole drive.
It was an emotional goodbye at the airport, I was going to miss my mum so much, I would have to be in London now till Christmas, doing press for the x factor, the finals were a week or so before Christmas, and I had to attend that. I left my mum and went through security and spent nearly an hour waiting in the airport for my flight to arrive. I was asked for photos a few times, but the airport was pretty deserted.
I was happy to get off that cramped plane; I walked through the long corridors to collect my suitcase. I went outside and I was met by hundreds of pap’s. The flash of the cameras blinded me. I got in a taxi and headed for the hotel.
By the time I arrived back at The Corintha, I was starving. I went up in the lift to my room to leave my suitcase in there. I never usually took the lift, but I was so tired. I hopped out of the lift and turned left down the corridor. “MEGAAAAANNNNN!” I heard a familiar voice scream. Jaymi. I turned around as I saw Jaymi running towards me, he nearly knocked me over. I laughed. “How was your little holiday?” he grinned. “It was amazing, apart from something” I sighed as I remembered the red head yesterday. “What happened?” Josh asked. “You guys had dinner?” I asked, avoiding Josh’s question, I kind of ignored George and JJ, but I directed my question to all four of them “No, but stop avoiding the question!” Jaymi scolded. “Give me two minutes to chuck this in my room” I pointed to my suitcase, “And I’ll join you for dinner, I’m starving!” I announced.
Before my but touched the seat in the bar, Jaymi started firing questions, “What happened?” he rushed. “I was out shopping yesterday, and this red head give me dirty looks in this shop, and she walks over to me. I am dead polite to her and she tells me to stay away from George that he was hers. I told her that we were just friends and she said ‘Yeah, right, your all over him, I know where your staying in London so if you don’t stay away, I’ll come and kill you’. She just walked away, it just is so annoying constantly getting death threats, I tried to stay away from my mentions this weekend, to keep myself in good spirits, but that just kind of ruined it to be honest” I sighed. “We need to do something about this! George post some sort of tweet-thing!” Jaymi demanded. I couldn’t help but laugh. Jaymi looked so confused. “You sound like an old man who has no idea on how to use twitter when you said ‘post some sort of tweet thingy’” I giggled. The other boys joined in when they realised what Jaymi had said. Jaymi wasn’t impressed. My phone vibrated in my pocket, I had a mention on twitter from a verified account. “Jcats! Please stop sending @MeganKxx hate and death threats! We are not a couple, we are just friends! #Stopthehate George X” “Thanks George, I doubt it will help” I said. George just nodded.
We had finished our main course and we were just chatting away, it got awkward at times between me, George and JJ, but I got on with it. My phone began to vibrate in my pocket, I was receiving a call from an unknown number, I clicked the green button. “Hello?” I could hear my voice echoing though the phone. “Hey Megan, how are you babes?” I could recognise that horrible squeaky voice anywhere, I rolled my eyes. “Fine and you?” I asked dryly. “I great, how is the x factor? Maybe we should meet up when you get back home again at Christmas time?” she squeaked. I couldn’t believe this, she bullied me for years on end, made my life at secondary school miserable, and I dreaded going to school because I was wondering what she would so to me that particular day. She was one of the popular pretty girls who were friends with everyone and I was just the little girl in the corner who got good grades because I worked my ass off for it. Even if I would meet her in the street, I would feel extremely uncomfortable. “Sorry, I can’t I’m very busy as you can imagine. Bye” I rushed and I hung up. I couldn’t stand to hear her horrible squeaky voice for another second. I can’t believe this, she bullied me for five years and now she wants to be my friend, now that I’ve been on x factor? That is beyond pathetic. “Who was that?” Jaymi mumbled. “The girl who bullied me, she wants to be friends again, only now because I’m in x factor.” I whispered. “Pathetic! How did she bully you for?” Jaymi whispered. “Five years” I croaked. Jaymi’s face dropped, he squeezed my hand and gave me a reassuring smile, the other three were busy chatting about god-knows-what, and so they didn’t notice that I was on the phone.
