As it grew late, small drops of cold water fell from the sky, healing the tense atmosphere in the lonely home of the oldest Lycan in the Caldor region. It had slowly turned his mood into melancholy, relieving him of his previous fury.

When it became late enough for the others to go, Kayleb offered to drive Chad home.

The taller werewolf wanted to accept the offer - because he didn't want to get too wet.

But Ian stepped in and took over the job as a driver in place of his brother. He was afraid his brother would kill someone if he saw his mate, but he didn't say so. He just argued that Kayleb has already done so much for them.

The older brother seemed to understand that the younger wanted to do something nice for him, so he resigned himself to it. But he asked both of them to wait before leaving.

He even made them sit down as he entered the bust hallway that led to the stairs to the first floor.

He stopped just before the first step and turned right - opposite the wall with the flower chalice. It moved the busts in a specific combination. Suddenly, the portion of the marble wall closest to the stairs moved inward and locked into place. As he entered, to his left was a staircase leading down. As he stepped onto the first step, he turned to face the moved wall and pressed a button on his right side.

The moment he pressed the button, the wall returned to its original place. A second of darkness enveloped him until the wall clicked into place again. A white light appeared out of nowhere and illuminated the small hallway he was in.

He looked straight at a bright red door.

On the door was a turntable with seven moving rings. It would be impossible for someone who doesn't know what it represents to turn it in the right direction.

For Kayleb, it was easy. He could even do it in his sleep. It represents the "golden day" when a golden glow broke through the cloudy sky in the swamp their species was born. It had rained for years without missing a day until that light broke through. Out stepped one of the "white legions," the protectors of the third goddess of fate.

She brought about a prophecy. A hope that lycan kind needed back then. Shortly after, the first Primus had fallen ill following a vicious attack from another immortal species, of which there were three: the lycans, the elves, and the assyrions.

But this prophecy was not taken lightly. It wasn't long before the lycan species disappeared from their homeland, splitting up and settling in many different places: from the sandy shores of the Chacalious Archapeligo to the red mountains and even other continents, or so it is said.

However, part of the prophecy came true many years later, leading to the near extinction of the entire lycan species.

Their recovered Primus fled first their homeworld. He ventured through an elven portal during this disaster and was never seen there again.

The lower half of this turntable shows the second prophecy received from the fifth goddess of fate. A real hope this time is the prophecy of the "Dark Twin Moon," which calls a child born to one of the lycan oldest to become powerful enough to challenge even the gods of old and new.

No one believes in either of them anymore, although Kayleb knew neither prophecy was completely fulfilled. Still, the first had some basis, as lycans had left their homeworld through an elven portal, which they subsequently completely destroyed so nobody could follow them.

But the second prophecy was these days more of an old fairy tale, mostly to keep lycan morale high. But even then, the so-called "prophecy" has not been added to most storybooks for several years. However, these turntables are not that easy to replace.
