The same girl he had caught Dal with the first time was with him, doing all the work. She had her head turned, a sickly sweet grin on her lips. However, the reality was that it was an arrogant act driven by a sense of superiority. He could see that this girl wanted Dal all along. Deep down, part of him couldn't even be angry since Dal was extremely handsome. But except for that small part of his soul, the rest of him was furious. Anger quickly rose within him. His eyes turned into their Alpha color, which scared the girl so much that she stopped riding his soulmate. Until that point, Dal hadn't noticed anything.
Until Kayleb couldn't hold back the anger inside him anymore, his eyes became even darker, more like an endless pit than an Alpha's gaze. There was hardly any red left in them. Furthermore, barely perceptible darkness gathered around him, dancing furiously around his body. He walked up to the girl and grabbed her arm. Before she could react, Kayleb pulled her off his soulmate, throwing her across the room into a row of metal lockers. The sound of bones breaking and groans of pain finally brought Dal out of his stupor.
Looking around in a daze, he saw Kayleb standing over him.
His cheeks were flushed, making it clear he was at least somewhat aware of what was happening, which angered Kayleb even more.
Dal, realizing that his soulmate was getting angrier by the moment, quickly tried to move in a desperate attempt to pull his pants back up. He even tried to stand up. But he fell back on his butt because his body was too weak.
"You truly are pathetic," Kayleb murmured in a distorted voice.
Kayleb turned away from his soulmate and looked directly at the girl. Blood dripped from her head, and a few minor wounds were inflicted by splintered metal. He walked towards her. She didn't even move her head, but that didn't detour him. With vigor, he grabbed her neck with one of his hands and forced her to look at him. All arrogance had disappeared from her eyes. She had genuinely believed until that point she was better than him. So, he had to teach her a lesson in humility.
He released his claws from his right hand and swung. His claws dug into the girl's face, tearing her skin and carving out flesh from the left corner of her jaw to the right tip of her hairline. His left hand had held her head the entire time, so the cuts were perfectly aligned. The screams that could be heard were deafening, but it wasn't enough for the darkness inside Kayleb. With her blood all over his hand and her flesh coating his claws, he slammed her violently into the wall with all the deformed metal. She grimaced in pain as several pieces of metal pierced her body. He looked at her for a second, half hanging, before the bloodlust took over again.
With clenched fists, Kayleb took his first punch. Of course, he didn't use all his strength. After all, he didn't want her suffering to end quickly. However, the feeling of her bones, skin, and flesh swaying under his force gave him a warm, fuzzy feeling. Blood flowed down his hands, covering them with warmth. But even the sight of her disfigured face wasn't enough. So he gently ran his fingers over it, collecting more of her blood and scratching it further with his claws. Only to stop when his hand was on top of her head. He grabbed her hair and gently pulled it a few times, only to suddenly pull out the ball of hair in his hand. Her screams grew louder as he tore out her hair, ball after ball with their roots. He smiled the entire time, a grin that further frightened the girl hanging on to her life by a thread.
So that she would never grow a single hair on her head again, he cut her scalp open with his claws, just enough so that countless scars soon would close her wounds.
When he finished his masterpiece, he pulled her off the wall, destroying the rest of her clothing. Holding her by the neck again, he carried her smaller body to the door. A faint noise made him stop abruptly, though. He barely looked over his shoulder as he stared directly into the dark eyes of his one true love. But Kayleb didn't say anything. He only looked him up and down in disgust before turning back to the forward, opening the door, and leaving the locker room.
