Despite being a powerful, independent lycan Alpha, Kayleb felt confused and stressed by the mere thought of finally committing to his eternal love forever. After their "talk," if it can be called that, he strolled around the school grounds. His feet carried him without him doing anything.

He wasn't sure whether he was supposed to wait for his now more likely boyfriend as planned or run and hide until his brain caught on to the situation. But his feet had already taken over. Almost as if they knew what he needed at that moment.

This was all so confusing to him that he didn't even realize his hands were opening a door until he was amidst one of the music rooms. Suddenly, he was thrown back into control over his own body. This particular music room was filled with hundreds of instruments. But most notably, a grand piano in the right corner. His gaze immediately focused on it.

He hasn't played since the last music lesson. And he missed it a lot. His little twin brother was his biggest fan. He had always sat next to him when he played. Now, everything was different. He felt alone wherever he was. Until the accident, he never thought he could feel like this.

Still, a persuasive voice in his head told him to play. It was quiet yet powerful. So he listened to this strange voice that echoed in his head because it sounded like his twin's, almost as if he were with him.

The moment his index finger pressed one of the keys, his love for the instrument reignited. Before he could even sit down, his fingers were dancing across it. Almost as if he were in another dimension, in his own little world. He didn't even know what he was playing, just that he had to do it.

Time passed quickly as he did the only thing that could completely calm him down. He had to bring out so many emotions that he couldn't do any other way. It was so intense that he sat there for two hours before his hands played something that triggered his memories.

A song he wrote - one about love. However, it wasn't until he looked into Dal's mesmerizing dark eyes that he found love, but he only accepted it when it grew stronger as Dal freed him from the darkness that threatened to consume him. It had grown so much that he could no longer deny these feelings, something he never wanted to do in the first place. But now everything was different. His wish came true, and so his song became even more important to him.

A song about real love: Showing his true feelings and connection to the person he loved most. He realized that his soulmate was his moon and that he shone brighter than even his twin did. The song told of a miserable love after one that wasn't real. Not even his family's love could compare to it. Even if his true love was miserable, nothing could compare to it.

When he finished, a loud clap echoed through the music room. It was slow, full of wonder - a pleasantly loud applause. For a moment, he was stunned because he thought he was alone. But that was just wishful thinking on his part. It took a few minutes for him to turn his head. Just before he turned around, the clapping had stopped, but the person was still standing in the room. He was ready to run away if necessary. But when he saw who it was, his tension eased slightly down.

"You are playing again?" Ian asked him cautiously.

Ian was so careful with him that he felt like Ian thought of him as a scared and injured puppy. But he immediately realized that his brother saw him at that moment like he did when Ian came into his life: a lost puppy. Even though his concern seemed genuine, he could still see a glimmer of envy in his eyes. Everyone knew about his talent. But Ian was always more jealous than others because Kayleb had to try something and was good at it, while Ian could try for years and never even get good at anything. It was one of the few things that separated him from his twin.

"I didn't know you were coming here," Kayleb said, trying to find the right words while fidgeting with his hands.

Ian suddenly gave him a warm smile. It was rare for Kayleb to be scared or uncomfortable, but after Maxie's death, it became more common. And Ian never really got used to it. After months, his serious strong will returned, and now, seeing him so vulnerable again, he felt as if they were still brothers.
