I am so nervous. When Paul first asked me to go out to dinner, I immediately said yes. Now I'm not so sure. Oh no! Paul's already her! Do I look okay?!

I have on a pair of khakis and a long-sleeved white dress shirt. Paul looks stunning in gray slacks and matching jacket with a deep purple shirt. I feel so underdressed next to him. "Do I need a jacket?" I ask.

"Only if you have one or want one."

I rummage through my closet until I find a black dinner jacket. It looks so strange with my khakis.

"You look fine." "Come on."

I'm still nervous but I try hiding it. To lighten the mood, I ask Paul what he thought about the game night. "Gene still has that?"

"He wears it when he needs to. The first time we went out for pizza after he finished the movie, he wore that. Of course he was overshadowed by my three foot tall feather boa." "We went out as drag queens of course. I was the hotter one by far."

I roll my eyes as we get in the car.

Dinner was wonderful as was the company. I'm so glad I didn't back out.
