Lead Guitarist But Little Sense

I'm Paul Daniel Frehley, known to everyone as Ace. I'm currently living at my parent's house, dating someone and playing lead guitar in KISS. As I was coming home last night, I was off in space somewhere.

The next thing I know, the dude I owe money to is in my face, screaming at me to pay up or else. Now common sense would have told me to pay up but I decide to talk smack instead. The next thing I know I'm flat on the ground, blood running from the gash in my forehead, ribs aching and broke. They took what little money I had left and cut me with a broken bottle.

Shaking it off, I struggle to find my house, only to wind up disoriented and head back towards the studio. Luckily it was Gene I ran into and not Paul or Peter. Peter would have gone after the assailants and Paul would fainted or puked.

I vaguely remember Gene picking me up and climbing stairs before I passed out. The last thing I remember was thinking that Gene had soft hands for a bassist. When I came to hours later, Gene was holding out to help me sit up.

Pain shot through my ribs and I let out a groan. "Shit!" I mumbled.

"Hey, take it easy. I got pizza if you feel like it."

A few hours later, I feel 50% better, food and sleep helping. Gene offers to let me use his bed but I wind up on the floor. Not that I don't appreciate the softness, it's just that I can't get comfortable.

The next morning, I wake up realizing Gene saw me sleeping in next to nothing. Oops! I dress as quickly as I can without causing more pain and head towards the smell of eggs and pancakes.

Later at practice I'm surprised as hell to see Paul hung over and Peter just grinning like something happened. The mood changes as soon as Peter sees the dried blood and deep cut. Paul leaves to go sleep off his hangover and Peter starts fussing over me.

This is awkward for Gene who's just standing there. I whisper something to Peter who backs off a bit. Finally Gene says something about checking on Paul and hurriedly leaves.

Normally this opportunity would give me and Peter a chance to fool around but I'm hurting too bad to do that. We wind up shooting the breeze for awhile before he offers to drop me off.

I walk in finding the apartment empty--thank goodness. I don't want to explain to my parents what had happened.
