So today it's the day! It was almost impossible for Brett to sleep the night before knowing today Eddy was going to unmold his hands.

Eddy: "Good afternoon!"

He greeted politely as he stepped in the room. It was still awkward between them after the imprinting accident and Brett was still against the idea of being in touch with an alpha. But not today!

Brett: "Good afternoon!"

Eddy: "I bet the girls are itching to come out their molds"

Brett: "Yep!"

He was like a little child waiting for that weekend dad said they would have gone to Disneyland. He saw Eddy strolling in his cart with his tools and take a place on a high stool near the bed. He wore a mask, protective glasses and gloves before taking the circular saw.

Eddy: "This looks scary but it's ok, the blade it's really little and I'll put this metal ruler inside the mold in order to protect your skin"

He slid the bendable ruler inside the mold of the hand nearer to him and started to cut the glass fiber. It was true he was being really careful and it took him a good half an hour to cut open both the molds.

Eddy: "Good let's take a look"

Always so gingerly he lifted the hem of the mold he was working on revealing the gauzed hand. Eddy took the wrist and lifted the hand gradually from the sustain before landing it gently on the surface he'd prepared in front of Brett. When it was safe, he proceeded with the other and took off his protective glasses to have a better look. Brett didn't move a muscle as the doctor finished his examination and started to remove the gauze.

He was not ready for the sight under the gauze: his hands had shrunken and his skin was all wrinkly. The cuts were healed but the stitches were in their place. There were still a lot of bruises but they were all yellowish or green and not purple or blue. Basically, they were healed but in Brett's eyes were still devastated.

Once they were free Eddy proceeded in removing the stitches and washing them carefully from the dead skin and cutting the nails making sure no dirt was underneath. At the end of his treatment, they looked still bad in Brett's eyes but if he'd saw the original conditions in which Eddy found them, he would have screamed: 'MIRACLE'.

Eddy: "I know they still look messed up, but trust me: they are healing wonderfully! Usually when I unmold them the cuts are not healed completely and the bruises are way worse. These are really, really good"

Brett: "I...I just never saw my hands like this..."

Eddy: "I know it can be hard at the beginning, but now the best thing is to continue working, and you'll see the results"

Brett nodded absently not removing his eyes from his fingers. Eddy knew that it was hard and he really wanted to help, especially after the accident, but all he could do now was to insist on the importance of physiotherapy

Eddy: "Let's start with some soft ones, and please tell me if it hurts"

He sat down on the bed on the other side of the platform where Brett's hands were laying and placed a foam rubber ball on it.

Eddy: "Before we actually start to move actively your hands we have to stretch your muscles. So, first task is to lay your palm on this and roll your wrist in order to stretch it properly. Then you'll lay the back of your hand and repeat. The first time I'll help you then you'll do it on your own, and when you'll feel comfortable with it, I'll stretch manually the fingers by massaging them. When you'll be well stretched, you'll try to lift this same ball, and for today it will be over...it will be painful, not gonna lie, but the more you endure and collaborate the faster you'll heal"
