Zoey couldn't be more impatient. After all the trouble she had brought on Mikey for what happened, she had asked him for one more favor if he could take her to Trint. To her surprise, he didn't seem quite as apprehensive as she had thought he would be. It turns out he had become friends with one of the werewolves in the Minoans pack, Oliver. When Oliver had come and picked them up from Darton the day T.E.R.A. became a pile of rubble, they began talking, so he was curious to see where they lived. Mikey had lost a job, but he seemed to have gained a bit more.

Zoey guided Mikey through the maze of a dirt road until the large trees gave way to the wooden cabins and buildings beyond. Her heart sank when she noticed all the commotion going on. Cars were scattered around full of boxes, clothes, and everything each family owned as they tore down every house. What was going on?

Michael's eyes went wide at the scene, and he barely noticed at the last second that Zoey unbuckled her seatbelt and opened the moving car door. So he quickly slammed on the breaks, thankful that they weren't going so fast, and was about to yell at her when she left the car entirely and walked through the busy little town to the man standing in front of the large concrete building, directing the guy in the crawler crane on what had to get done.

Her heart fluttered at seeing him after so long and began to beat rapidly. It felt too long since she had seen him, and her body was already giddy just from his back. What had he done to her? Her palms got sweaty as her nervousness kicked in. What would he say when he saw her crawling back to him after rejecting him?

Damon finishes talking to the man and turns around, his eyes immediately meeting Zoey's, and he frowns.

She freezes in her spot as Damon makes his way to her. The closer he got, the more her heart wanted to jump out of her chest and into his arms. She smiled and opened her mouth to say something when Damon walked past her, "What are you doing here, Zoey?"

Zoey clamped her mouth shut and turned around to follow him to where he was going next. She didn't know what she expected when she first saw him, but somehow she wasn't expecting the cold shoulder, although she knew why he was giving it to her, "I-I came to apologize... I-I didn't make the right choice."

Damon begins loading the pile of boxes just outside the building into a large moving truck, "There was no wrong or right choice, Zoey. You made the choice you wanted to make. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have a lot of work to do."

She bites her lip and clenches her palms at his dismissal, "What's going on here? It looks like you guys are leaving." She looked around again and saw people loading their cars or helping tear down buildings.

"We are leaving. We can't stay here anymore, not after T.E.R.A. learned about it. It's not safe to be here anymore, so we're leaving." He doesn't stop to talk to her and continues doing his work.

Zoey frowns. She didn't like the idea of not being able to see Damon again or knowing where he was going next, "Where are you guys going? C-can I come with you?"

Damon finally stops, and his gray eyes fall on her for a long while, seemingly to pierce right through her, "What did you come here for, Zoey? You choose Cole over me. Fine. I respected your decision and tried not to make trouble for you despite how I felt and even helped out where I could, and now you come back standing in front of me with Cole's scent all over you, asking to come with me? Did you seriously just come to rub it in my face? If you did, that's cold of you. I knew you didn't care much about my feelings, but that's low."
