Zoey tossed and turned in the large bed, she had locked herself in the room for the past few days to not only avoid Damon but to avoid being ostracized by all the weres around her who probably hated her guts for everything going on. Things just weren't getting any better and she was stuck there at Trint, being held hostage by Damon until they had the DNA test in a few weeks. Like it would make a difference, she still hadn't changed her mind about the abortion and she was sure she wasn't going too. It didn't matter to her who the father was, she wasn't ready to be a mother anymore. She was too much of a mess for it. All she wanted to do now was drown herself in alcohol and self-pity.

The only interaction she had the past few days was when Kali would bring her food, she felt bad for the girl because it wasn't like she was the best company to have at the moment either. She didn't even have her phone to text Michael because Damon didn't want her father tracking her location, or at least that's what he told her and she was pissed about that too.

There was a knock at the door so Zoey sits up in the bed knowing full well who it was. Kali comes into the room in her usual cheery demeanor but this time she came in empty handed, "Hey Zoey. How are you feeling today?"

Zoey brought her knees to her chest and hugged them, trying not to let her depression show, "Fine. I just don't like particularly being a prisoner is all. Did you need something?" She wondered what the girl was doing here if it wasn't to bring her food as she normally did.

Kali took a seat at the edge of the bed and gave her a bright smile, "I figured you might want to get out of the room for a bit and join me downstairs while I made lunch. What do you say? Being locked in this room isn't exactly good for you."

"Oh, so your alpha is gonna allow me to leave the room, now is he?" Her sarcasm lacing her voice. She was annoyed by the whole situation and the person she blamed for the whole thing was the same person who hadn't bothered to talk to her since the day at the clinic.

Kali gives her a nervous laugh, "You aren't a prisoner Zoey. You are completely allowed to do whatever you want here. You can explore the house or the town to your heart's content. This place is truly something and who knows you might actually like it."

"I just can't leave right?" She narrows her green eyes on the blonde haired girl. She wasn't mad at her or anything, she was just trying to cheer her up but she couldn't help it. She didn't like someone telling her what to do in the slightest.

"Well..." Kali didn't know what to say to that, Damon had specifically told her that Zoey wasn't allowed to leave the pack grounds but she didn't want to upset her more.

Zoey looks away from her and sighs, "Look, don't worry about it. You don't have to force yourself to be around me. I'm not exactly a joy to be around right now. I know that. So if he told you to be nice to me then feel free to ignore him. I do." She lays back down in bed and throws the covers over her body to bury herself inside them.

Kali frowns at her comment, "I'm not forcing myself to do anything. I just know what it's like to be alone and depressed and..." she looks down at her hands, "I just know that I didn't like being alone and having no one to talk to so I want you to know that I'm here. That's all." Kali looks at the ball of fluffy white comforter for a reply but got nothing so she quietly gets up from the bed, "If you change your mind then I'll be downstairs. I decided to make chicken for lunch. I hope you like it. I'll bring it by later."

Kali leaves the room. Moments later Zoey grits her teeth in frustration, "Oh hell. Fine." She could hear the sadness in her voice and she just couldn't say no to that so she got out of bed. She could join Kali downstairs for a bit, it wasn't like she had anything better to do and she was right, she didn't like being alone.
