A waiting game. That's what we were playing at right now. Waiting for the secret weapon to take out the Mikaelson's and remove them from not only Mystic Falls but from the world as well. Elena would be safe. We would all be safe.
I was currently playing a game of pool with Jeremy, Elena's kid brother as Elena was talking with Caroline and Bonnie about some sleepover they were planning.
"Think it will really work? You know, their mother?" Jeremy questioned in a low voice. I glanced around to make sure no one would hear him- the only vampire I recognized being Caroline and Damon. Damon was at the bar- as usual.
"She seemed pretty hell bent on her guilty conscious. Elena claims that she wants to speak with her. Maybe about the plan." I shrugged, aiming the cue ball at the solid six and preparing to shoot. But the pool stick jutted out of my hand at the strong stench of human blood. The felt of the table ripping slightly from my movement.
"What the hell man?" Jeremy complained as my eyes snapped around the bar. Matt was handing a wine glass to someone. A woman. I didn't recognize her at all. But Matt seemed to be talking low to her-
"How are you doing this?" Matt muttered, his jaw locked as his wrist bled onto the bar top. My eyes darkening and following the steady drops. The woman smiled at him innocently, her finger running along the rim of the glass as she parted her lips to speak.
"It's simple." Her voice seemed otherworldly. Even I got goosebumps from it. Like she wasn't from here- or like she was god like. I glanced over to see Damon had been eyeing her, but he had yet to make a move. Probably not caring about Matt- or hoping Matt will get her to speak on his own.
"But I'm on Vervain." Matt snapped, obviously not happy about doing as she had asked. I moved my gaze back to watch as the woman lifted the glass, her lips accepting the warm blood to flow into her mouth. Her tongue darting out. I didn't even notice my jaw tensing as I watched. I don't know if it was the blood or the woman. But something was pulling my attention to her.
"Is that supposed to mean something to me?" She questioned as she lowered the glass from her lips. I moved away from the pool table, about to interfere only for the door to fly open and my body to go flying into the wall.
"WHAT DID YOU DO?!" Klaus Mikaelson was growling in my face. Eyes yellow and fangs on full display. Glancing around, no one was looking at us except for Elena, Bonnie, Caroline and Jeremy. Matt had glanced up and the woman had disappeared from sight. Like she had never even existed.
"What's going on over here?" Damon asked as he came to my side and glanced at Klaus. I held my hands up, unsure what was even going on at the moment.
"You let my mother out and then take her away. What game are you trying to play here?" Klaus growled out. His anger evident. But I stared at him confused. My eyebrows furrowed together.
"Take her away? I haven't seen any of you since last night when Esther arrived." I told him. Klaus was breathing out of his nose harshly. Like a bull about to stomp out his prey.
