Having the witch on my side was going to make this a whole lot easier in getting Eve back to me.
The past day and a half, I'd spent at The Grill. Watching for someone to show up with one of those bracelets. I knew Kol Mikaelson had one. But he'd be the hardest one to get.
I had thought I saw one on another Mikaelson, but clearly he had given it away, since I saw him last.
The bell chimed above the door- a new added tidbit to warn the blonde bartender of incoming threats, or just guests. The cute blonde I had met when I first arrived bounced in cheerfully.
She's a vampire. She should be completely rabid and miserable by now unless she is as old as the so called Originals. Her eyes seemed to brighten when she caught a glance at me, walking over to say hi.
"Adam! I'm so glad to see you again! I'm sure you heard that the Miss Mystic was cancelled." She frowned as her hand moved to brush the hair behind her ear. The glow of the bracelet catching my eyes.
"I did see that. I'm terribly sorry, I could tell how excited you were over it." I sympathized with her. "I'm sure they'll reschedule it for whenever this madness ends." She smiled, nodding.
"It all depends on when Eve comes back. She's the cause of this, supposedly. Well, Bonnie is- but it's because Eve hasn't come back yet, I guess." She ranted before letting out a huff of air. "I really thought the all powerful being would have come back already." I raised my eyebrows at her, a bit shocked that she was talking to me about Eve. I hadn't told her about who I truly was, did I? A few knew.
"So you know who I am?" I questioned. Caroline laughed, like it was the most logical thing.
"My best friend is Bonnie. And for some reason Damon likes to hang around. So of course I know who you are." She waved her hand at the bartender with a grin before turning back to me.
"Then you know that I'm trying to bring Eve back then." I mentioned, looking around to make sure none of the Mikaelson's were hanging around.
"I do. But I don't know how you plan on not only giving Bonnie magic to do so, but to get Eve to go away with you....willingly." she muttered the last word as she glanced over me. My brows furrowing.
"Actually...the bracelet you have would give Bonnie plenty of magic to bring Eve back." I pointed out, my eyes glued to the corded bracelet hugging her wrist. Only she could remove it, or Eve. I knew this. Eve wasn't stupid, she'd make sure it was safe. Caroline pulled her wrist close to her, narrowing her eyes.
"If it doesn't work then-"
"You would be safe. I'd make sure of it." I urged her. At this point I would tell her I'd rain hellfire to protect her. But in reality, my heart only belonged to one. Caroline looked in thought before shaking her head at me.
"Find another way. You're not very trusted in this town." Fiesty blonde. My lips tugged up into a smirk before I stepped close to her. Caroline stayed as she was, showing a strong independent woman. She was alot like Eve. Eve probably could have been friends with her.
"I could just forcefully take it." I told her in a low tone. My smirk making it seem like I was flirting, but she knew I wasn't. "I could rip your arm off- you're a vampire, you'd be fine." Caroline let out a growl before shoving me. Her hands pressing against my chest. My eyes snapped to the bracelet.
"You think you could just threaten me?? Who the hell do you think you are?!" She exclaimed, pulling attention towards us. The smirk stayed on my lips as I grabbed her hand tightly.
"Let's take this outside, sweetheart." I tried. No one in the bar could fight me off other than maybe Caroline. I wasn't superhuman. I had only the strength of a well built man. But I felt I could take her. All I needed was the bracelet and I'd be set.
"Get your hands off me!!" Caroline yelled before a hand wrapped around my throat and held me down on the bartop. One of the Mikaelson's, I didn't know which one, was growling at me viciously.
"You shouldn't touch what isn't yours, mate." The vampire snapped out, his eyes glowing yellow.
"I just need- the bracelet." I rasped out the best I could. I couldn't die. But he was making it very easy to fall asleep. "Bring Eve back- Take her away from here." The yellow eyed Vampire loosened his hold on my throat, allowing the air to refill my lungs in a gasp.
"What did you say?" He questioned, his eyes trying to read me like a threat.
"That bracelet has enough magic to bring Eve back. Bring her back and the world will be normal again and I'll take her away with me." I explained to him with a few pants of air. "She won't bother you anymore." The man, I figured to be the hybrid, Niklaus glanced back to Caroline.
"Give him the bracelet, love." Klaus demanded in a sweet tone. Caroline let out an annoyed gasp.
"Are you crazy!?" She exclaimed before Klaus released me completely and moved towards Caroline.
"Give. Him. The. Bracelet, Caroline." He tried again, with more of a growl setting his tone.
"No." She told him in a short angered response. I sat up more, crossing my arms. This was about to get entertaining.
I watched as Klaus reached out and grabbed Caroline's hand, moving to rip the bracelet off her wrist only for it to scorch his hand like it was doused in Vervain.
"What the-"
"Are you serious right now?!" Caroline shouted, ripping her hand away from him. "And you wonder why I view you as a monster." Klaus growled at her.
"What is going on here?" I glance behind Caroline to see Kol and the older one standing there. The older one was the one to speak. "You alright, Caroline?" He questioned. His hazel eyes looking over the blonde vampire. His magic was reasching for her. Does he know?
"I'm fine. I just need to get out of here." She muttered, turning to glare at me and Klaus before walking out of the bar. The older one followed after her quickly. If he didn't know his magic wanted her, he will soon. It was so obvious.
"Brother." Kol muttered before glancing to me. "Ken doll." He growled at me before leaving after his older brother. Klaus turned towards me with narrowed eyes and a sigh.
"Any more brilliant ideas?"
