I stared at Eve as she spoke with Elijah and Rebekah

I stared at Eve as she spoke with Elijah and Rebekah. Two people I once feared talking to someone even more powerful and chaotic. It was insane how my world ended up like this. I expected to be halfway to Yemen by now.

I still didn't even know what came of the Mystic Fall gang. The ones who tried to send Eve away. The whole bunch of them probably got what was coming, messing with the strongest of people.

"Katerina." I snapped my eyes from Eve to Elijah, who was now giving me his whole attention once more. I couldn't hold back the shiver that ran through my body at the thought of what we had done prior to Eve and Rebekah arriving. The bedroom was wrecked. "Do you think there is anything in any book you've read about the source or desiccating spontaneously?" He asked. I shook my head, pursing my lips.

"If there was a book on that, you or Kol would be the one to know." I pointed out. Kol, from my view, was obsessed with Myths and Legends at one point, if he wasn't still. He was incredibly smart when it came down to things that shouldn't be real.

"Desiccating...." Eve mumbled to herself with a frown. Elijah and I looked over to her as Rebekah stood close to hold her steady. The death creeping in on her faster, it seemed. "That bloody bitch!!!" Eve snapped loudly.

"I'm sorry?" Rebekah asked in a, I hope that wasn't pointed at me, tone. Eve shook her head as she held a grin that showed she was a bit impressed but mostly pissed off.

"Bonnie, backstabbing, Bennett." Eve growled, her eyes flashing ruby with a shudder as her knees began to wobble. Elijah shot out to her other side, catching her swiftly. I refuse to admit how jealous I was when he swept her off her feet.

"You can explain on our way back to Kol. Your bond might be able to slow this process down." He told her, carrying her out to the car. Rebekah and I are following when she stops me.

"Eve has two guys. Don't worry about Elijah being smitten with her or anything." She warned me. I jerked my arm from her with a slight snarl of my lip.

"I'm not worried." I clarrified. Rebekah hummed behind me as I made my way to the car and sat in the back with Eve. She was looking on the worse of sides, her skin was covered in the rotting looking flesh. Her arms and legs greying quicker. Elijah got into the driver side as Rebekah got into the passenger.

"I admire you, Kitty Kat." Eve mumbled, causing my eyes to look back over to her confused. She smiled sweetly, like a true villain that you didn't know whether she was smiling seriously or not. It might just be her though. "You make a fantastic role model with how fierce you can be." I rolled my eyes at her.

"I'm a survivor. Could never be a role model." I told her simply. She smiled at me, shaking her head.

"Being a survivor doesn't make you any less. If anything, it makes you so much more." I looked back over at her, confused and a bit taken aback. But Elijah spoke up before I could make some snarky remark.

"What does Bonnie Bennett have to do with this?" He questioned as he began to drive the car. Eve looked over at him with a glare, obviously holding some resentment towards the witch.

"Before she sent me to the prison world, she cursed me to an endless hunger so I would desiccate quicker and not escape." I could see the disgust in Elijah and Rebekahs eyes from where I sat.

"But you aren't hungry now, are you?" Rebekah apoke up. Eve shook her head.

"That died down when Kai siphoned a bit from me. It disappeared completely after - after my heart..."

"So your heart makes a miraculous recovery, and now you aren't hungry at all?" I spoke up, feeling for the girl since I could see where this was going.

"I suppose so." Eve mumbled out quietly in thought. She looked to be in pain. Her jaw held tight together as if she were trying to distract herself. I couldn't even begin to imagine what she was feeling at this moment.

"Do you think she was channeling anyone?" Rebekah asked randomly. Eve knitted her brows together in further thought.

"The Gemini Coven." Elijah sooke up in his sexy british accent. He seriously had one of those voices that could call you dirty names, and you'd be thanking him.

"You think they'd let her channel off of them?" Rebekah asked. I raised my eyebrows.

"If it benefitted them, sure." I said, looking down to pick at my nails. I really needed a manicure soon. "People will do anything to benefit themselves." Eve glanced at me, nodding.

"That would explain why the curse is still working then..." Eve muttered. Her voice sounded raspy and forced. "I-" She paused as her hand went to her chest. I sat forward a bit, concern floating in my mind. What? She's the source of us all. If she dies, I die.

"What is it?" I asked. Eve shook her head at me as she seemed to relax a bit, leaning back in her seat and letting her head lay on the window.

"We need to hurry."

----

Eve had passed out about 10 minutes later. Her skin, an ashy grey. Darkening by the minute. Once we got back to Klaus' home, Elijah moved quickly to open Eves door and pull her out carefully.

It didn't take much longer for Kol and Kai to appear, worry etched on both of their faces. But what threw me was seeing Stefan Salvatore standing at the door, looking just as worried.
