The destruction being caused from Eve's diappearance has been great. Rebekah had called to tell me about the rabid vampires and the magicless witches. And I had experienced first hand what happens to Doppelgangers.
Katerina was staring at me in the hotel room I had compelled. The bracelet I had placed om her wrist snug as she plucked at it curiously. Eve had spoken to me at the night of the ball. Displaying her concern for my siding with her. She had been afraid I would get some kind of repercussion from Niklaus or the residence of Mystic Falls.
Apparently, Finn had given his bracelet up as well. That had shocked me greatly. Ms. Forbes now held onto it, keeping her from going rabid on the leftover townsfolk.
"Should I be concerned that you will go rabid now?" Katerina spoke up, her dark eyes studying me. Like she was waiting to escape.
"It seems to be going through those younger first." I told her simply. "You have no need to be afraid, Katerina. I will not harm you." She offered me a skeptical glance.
"I don't know what would have been worse. Becoming one with Elena Gilbert or possibly going rabid." Katerina muttered. I tilted my head, weighing the options in my mind. I didn't really have anything against Ms. Gilbert. Other than her insistence on killing my family- but now that I'm on the same side as someone who would more than likely kill my brother... I didn't know what to think.
Would Eve honestly kill Niklaus for his crimes?
"Well, now you don't need to concern yourself with those thoughts." I told her reassuringly. Katerina shook her head before shrugging.
"I don't know. There was something odd- when Elena was pushing into my mind.. it felt like we weren't alone." I raised my brow at her, confused.
"It wasn't just you and Elena?" I questioned, sitting up at the thought. Katerina looked to be in thought for a moment before shrugging.
"I don't know. It was a rather crazy experience. Like my first time drinking from a druggie." She grinned at the thought before looking back down at the bracelet.
I didn't know how to be around Katerina anymore. She was beautiful still. Fierce and independent, which she wasn't before. When she was human she was more reliant on my help- and in her eyes I betrayed her. She didn't know I had found a way for her to live. To come back to me.
"So why would Eve just give you a bracelet with her magic threaded through it? Is there a thing going on between you two? Not that I would blame you. She could kill anyone so easily." She ranted off. She was nervous. The desire in me warmed my body at the thought that I made her so nervous.
"Would that make you jealous, Katerina?" I questioned her teasingly. Her eyes snapped up to meet my heated gaze. Her gaze settling into a glare.
"I don't do jealous. Not unless it's the guy being it." She snipped. I smiled at her retort, nodding.
"Eve only was giving me protection because I allied myself to her." I told her assuringly. "Besides, she has a thing for Kol I believe." Katerina snorted, moving her gaze off of me.
"So into the chaotic of the Mikaelsons? Can't say I blame her. Adds a bit of thrill to her life." I raised my brow at her, fixing my cuff sleeve before flashing to stand in front of her. Slowly kneeling in front of Katerina, I smiled.
"What does that say about you?" I questioned, my hand reaching out and pushing a stray curl behind her ear. Her jaw tightened, her eyes looking away. "You fell for two Mikaelsons." She pulled her face away from me, deciding on a glare.
"I was young and foolish." She muttered, pulling her glare from me, but her jaw still taut.
"Young, perhaps. But foolish- I believe more with the Salvatore's." I chimed, watching Katerina's eyes flicker from the empty floor to me before looking back.
"What are you saying, Elijah?" She questioned. The confidence she usually had coming back into her voice. Her head turned to face me once more, a suggestive look gleaming in her eye. "Are you trying to hint at something?" I reached out, grabbing her chin in a way to keep her from looking away.
"I suppose it depends." I muttered, leaning closer to her. Katerina smiled in that was enough to seduce most males. Most, including me. Just like she did so many years ago- And I let her. Just as I would now. I pressed my lips to hers, moving my fingers from her chin before my hand went to the back of her neck. I half expected Katerina to shove me off of her, or even try to snap my neck. Something. But instead, her lips moved with mine.
Moving fast, I picked her up before slamming her back into the wall of the room. Our lips moving more aggressively. I didn't know how Katerina was anymore- having to be a survivor, but I did know I was going to worship her for the time I missed out on.
