Kol carried Eve into the house. Her eyes closed and the darkness in her skin rising quickly. I could feel the panic overwhelming me, something I hadn't felt since- well never. Not even when my drastic twin sister chose to betray me. Or when I woke up on the streets of Mystic Falls alone for years.
"Are we really sure about this plan?" I asked, looking over to see Silas, this immortal warlock, following us into the room. "It could kill her."
"This is killing her." Silas muttered, his hazel eyes looking over the beauty. I growled at him, not wanting his eyes to examine her like they already were. Silas tore his eyes from her to roll his eyes at me. "Down boy. Are you trying to become a Doberman or something? Right now she needs her bonded mates."
"Bonded mates?" Kol questioned, placing Eve down gently on the bed. "Mates do not exist." He said, shaking his head as his eyes loomed over Eve longingly.
"Mates do not- You're kidding aren't you?" Silas asked, his voice showing how amused he was. He turned to look at me incredulously. "He's kidding, right? You both do know that mates are real- hell." Silas mumbled, shaking his head as his hand ran over his face in disbelief.
"What do you mean?" I asked curiously. Silas shook his head again.
"Children." He mumbled before turning his glare onto me. "A mated bond is created when there is blood exchange or magic exchange. I can see her magic in the both of you- and that's the only ones able to help her right now. Only you two can handle siphoning from her."
"So you want us to siphone the magic from her, hoping it will remove this curse?" I asked, just making sure I had understood right. You can't blame me, it seems insane.
"To the last drop." Silas nodded. I looked over to Kol who was already looking to me with the same look of doubt I probably had. "With the bond between you three, you should be able to stop right at the last moment and go from there." He went further to explain. My gut was being wrung out like an old dish rag at the thought. "She won't die. Magic regenerates. Her's will regenerate- over time."
"How are you so sure this will even work? It's not like you've done something like this before." I pointed out. My worries for Eve making me second guess the old immortal. "She's the source-"
"Everything has a loophole and a weakness." Kol agreed with me. Silas raised his eyebrow at us before rolling his eyes. I was beginning to imagine gouging his eyes out. Would he still be immortal without those hazel eyes? Maybe a blind one. The jokes I'd be able to spring on him then. You must had seen so much in all of your years alive- oh so, too early?
"If you let her die, then we all perish with her." Silas stated clearly. "If you choose to not try this then I'll try it- but then I'd be also mated to her-" I didn't let him finish talking before shoving him up against the wall, growling in his face. Kol growled from behind us. Silas only smirked, letting out a soft chuckle as he held his hands up in defense. "Only kidding. But times a ticking."
I shoved him into the wall before pulling my hands off of him. My head turning back to see Kol pursing his lips with a nod. Moving over to the other side of Eve, I grabbed her hand as I sat next to her. Our hands glowing red together as I felt a mixture of her magic and the tainted magic which held the curse in it.
It felt different compared to being in the prison world. Darker. Deeper. Like walking through a pool of jello. And it left a bad after taste on the tip of my tongue.
I watched Kol grab her other hand. His didn't glow red, but since they had been magically bonded, he could pull magic from him.
"Get comfy, children. Could be here for a while." Silas grinned, moving to sit in an armchair nearby before crossing his legs. Kol ignored him as I snarled at him. Seriously might gouge his eyes out- or perhaps rip his tongue out.

My body felt so heavy with all of the dark magic swirling inside of me. I was now leaning against the wall behind the bed as I held Eve's hand. My eyes drooping a bit. The feeling of being full after a huge meal was similar to how I felt. Heavy.
I glanced over at Kol, who seemed to be feeling the same way I was. His head nodding off here and there before jolting up a bit.
"You two look like absolute shit." Silas pointed out. I looked over to him, glaring darkly. "Should be close." His hazel eyes looked to Eve, pulling me to look at her as well. I was shocked. The darkness in her skin had been fading back. Receding back to the beginning. Her fingers still tainted with the death that had threatened her existence.
"She's cold." Kol muttered, his own eyes looking over her as well. I nodded, noticing how cold her hand actually was compared to my own.
"Well, you are bringing her to the brink of death." Silas said. "After you drain her, she'll be out for a few days. Like an original Sleeping Beauty."
