Welcome to Mystic Falls, Virginia. Power oozed from the small town. The essence of Eve lingered in the air- faded, but still there.

The moment I had felt Eve come back to life in the cave, my body was thrilled. My mind was thrilled. My heart was aching. She was the one made for me. I urned for her. I kept watch from the Garden the moment she was banished. Keeping to the duties I had been given, but keeping my heart loyal to the one I knew was mine. And she was back.

But the moment I was able to sneak down to Earth to see her- she was gone. Pulled from the universe I knew. And from what I knew of God, he was furious. He had apparently been keeping a close eye on Eve as well. I had gotten here before he could even think to yet. I knew it was bound to happen. But I had to get to Eve before he did. Before he decided to do something irreversible.

So I made long strides into town. My clothes were modern, to not pull attention. But of course, the humans could sense I was otherworldly. Staring at me like I was a glowing god. I can't say I blame them. I am the first ever man. So I held my head high and smiled at the people passing by me.

"You don't understand, Elena. I can feel my power being pulled." A woman told another. Both looked to be just getting out of their teens and were heading into what looked to be a bar.

"You're right, I don't understand." The woman named Elena responded. "Bonnie, Eve is gone. Klaus is happy and leaving us alone. If I could only get through to Stefan and Damon, then we would be living happily ever after at this point." I steered my way after them as they entered the bar. The moment I had heard Elena mutter my loves name, I knew they would probably have some kind of idea of where she is now.

"This isn't a fairytale, Elena. This is real life. A life of evil and good." Bonnie snapped at her friend as they made their way to sit down at a table for four. "And if we're going to be able to fight that evil, I need to be able to use at least basic magic- which I can't." The witch was losing her powers? That means that Eve wasn't in this world. She would have to be at least in this plain or the Garden for the Supernatural to thrive happily.

"There is no Evil, Bonnie! We're safe." Elena tried again.

"Oh-" I turned as a blonde vampire ran into me. "I'm so sorry- I didn't see you there." She muttered before her eyes met mine. I smiled at her, holding my hands out to steady the girl.

"It's quite alright. I was in the way after all. Let me move for you." I charmed her, moving to sit at the bar. The blonde stared at me for a moment, probably dazed before moving to sit with the two girls I had been following.

"Oh.My.God." She announced as she sat down with the other girls. "Did you guys see that guy over there? I think we had a moment." I turned my head slightly as I greeted the blonde bartender, ordering a jack and coke.

"You think you have a moment with every hot guy, Care." Elena told her friend with a roll of her eyes. "Remember Stefan?"

"And Damon." Bonnie added.

"And Matt and Tyler." Elena ranted. "Oh- and Kla-"

"Don't you dare. I had no moments with that man." Care- I'm guessing her name is Caroline- snapped at Elena. Who is this Klaus guy?

"Mhmm, sure Care." Bonnie muttered as the bartender placed my short glass in front of me, staring me down.

"You new here? We don't get many new faces." He told me, pulling out a small dish of what looked to be pretzels. Humans loved to eat as they drank. I'm immortal. An upgraded Human.

"Just passing through." I told him. He nodded.

"Matt Donovan." He introduced himself, as if I actually cared to know who he was.

"Adam." I muttered with a small tug of my lip. Matt narrowed his eyes at me. As if trying to see through me. See who I was. Did he know who I was?

"No last name?" Matt questioned before I could answer though, Caroline popped up next to me.

"Matt!! I need a shot- preferably Tequila." She chirped in a cheery tone. Matt dragged his glare from me before sighing at the blonde.

"Keep it down, Care." He hushed before grabbing her what she wanted. She turned her head at me after waving him off.

"Hi there." She smiled at me, flirtatiously. I turned my charming smile towards her.

"Hello again." I chimed in a tone that was oozing confidence. "Having a bad day?" I questioned, nodding to the shot that had just been pushed towards her discreetly.

"Well I was- until now." She flirted before taking the shot and slamming the glass back down. "My now ex is trying to control everything I do- not that I should be talking about my exes with someone I don't even know. I'm so sorry. I'm Caroline Forbes. Resident gossip- meaning I know all the latest gossip." She winked. I chuckled at her introduction before reaching out and grabbing her hand. Bringing it up to my lips before breathing my name over her knuckles.

"Adam." My lips brushed her knuckled before releasing her. "It's a pleasure to meet such an energetic beauty." I said playfully. Spotting her eyes lighting up at my advances. Her hand stayed there for a moment before she pulled it back to her chest. As if it was something to be cherished. Girls in this place were so easy to turn to goo.

"You know- I could totally show you around town, if you want. We have- well we don't really have much. But the Miss. Mystic is tomorrow, if you'd like to come." She ranted off in nerves, maybe?

"Are you going to be there?" I questioned, continuing my tease of the baby vampire.

"Of course- I'm in the running with my best friend over there-" She turned to point out Elena who was already taring at us along with Bonnie. "I think she has in the bag- of course, but who knows." She shrugged. I smiled at her.

"Well, I believe you are a clear pick, Caroline." I told her. Her smile grew before I moved to stand. "I really need to get going. It was enchanting meeting you and I hope to see you tomorrow." I told her before making my way to the door. I was being eyed from all sides of the bar. Vampires. She smiled, nodding before I left. Time to find a place to stay for now and maybe a nice tux? I couldn't deny the excitement of being able to flaunt my looks to the lessers of this world. I helped make them. And as much as Eve denies having anything to do with my creations- she did have a hand at modifying them. Perfection.
