"No

"No." I spoke up as I sat up. my crusty looking hands on my lap. The pain pulsing up my forearms, making my jaw tighten. I couldn't even remember the last time I felt true pain.

"No?" Adam repeated like a damn parrot. His voice was an echo of my own but filled with confusion and shock. Kol and Kai both turned to me, and both were displaying different emotions. Like understanding and relief, but also fear and worry.

"What is going on?" Rebekah asked, not being filled in on the whole situation yet. I looked over to her.

"This clingy man is trying to make me go home." I told her with a pained smile. She only furrowed her brows more until I sighed. "Some voodoo stuff is happening. My heart - our-"

"Everyone." Kol corrected me. I glanced to him before sighing again.

"Everyone's heart has been jolted awake and now my hands-" I held my trembling hands up until Kai placed his underneath to steady them. "Are like this." I finished. Rebekah frowned, moving closer to us to examine my hands.

"It's like you're desiccating..." She mumbled, her lip slightly lifted in a grimace.

"And the only way she will heal is if she comes with me." Adam added, his voice sounding a bit urgent. I narrowed my eyes at him.

"I'm not going to the garden. Rather die." I told him with a slight growl under my voice.

"Sweetheart, maybe -" I jerked my head to Kol with a glare already forming on my face.

"I. Am. Not. Going. Back." I growled, my hands pulling away from Kai now. I stood up from between them before moving quickly to the doorframe. My hands reached out to catch myself against the frame as I felt a bit of my control slip. Kol and Kai both jumped up to get to me, but Rebekah was the one to step over and grab my arm gently.

"You don't have to go back. We'll figure this out." She helped, her usually hard blue eyes soft as she looked at me before turning to glare at Adam. "When we return, you should be gone." She told him with a tone that was not made to be pushed.

"Wait-" Kol started.

"Where are you going?!" Kai finished, just a frantically.

"A bit of girl time. No boys allowed." Rebekah told them before pulling me along. I didn't even try to fight her. I was just relieved to get away from Adam at this point.

Rebekah had ended up in her car with me, my eyes staring off in front of me before I gave in to the silence between us.

"Why'd you do that?" I questioned. Rebekah glanced over at me before facing the road again.
